I remember how excited I was about BF3, finally! I thought, no more half assed bfbc2. Except it arrived, and was less of  a game than BFBC2, i remained stunned for a while. But now that BF4 is announced I think my BF expectations are inline with reality I'll use my 3d card for bitcoin mining.

I can't get any of the old BF series to play on my newer systems Vietnam on is all I can play. want to go play Coral sea and was highly disappoint.

 When did BF3 become almost 20gig to download and reinstall ? its like WTF.

THIS! Javelin is the single biggest fuck-up of the whole game for me.
Especially when for the first few Months it was bugged so you couldn't avoid or hear a tone. It's just a no-fun mindless dickslap lock on without a counter. Hey, lets chuck a soflam in there so people can point it at vehicle spawns or continuous tone aircraft! OH SUCH FUN FOR THE HANDICAPPED.

They nailed that aspect with BC2, the dart was a fun and kept you moving in the heli.

Apart from that I have no major in-game gripes with BF3, I had a blast for the first Month or so, it's more how the balance, lack of bug fixes and patching and then the intelligence insulting Premium bullshit was moneygrabbingly dropped.

bro that's crazy talk. most good pilots would sit way off the flag they are attacking. a good AT4 could take them out.

I dunno, with a decent pilot and a gunner in comms it'll go at least 1:1, in my experience more towards the heli.

The AT4 wasn't terribly hard to see coming as long as you were smart about it. I'd back off a bit if there was someone decent with an AT4, and if they're really good it becomes a bit of a game as to what evasion will work (generally drop fast and dip to one side is enough), but yeah, the pilots in that video were pretty arse. Definitely more AT4ers RQed than I did.

Theres another vid floating round as well wit guys in attack chopper tat could fly... they didn't stand a chance either. AT4 was fun times with choppers. Most pilots wouldn't even know where they where coming from and if you had a few of you hunting the heli from different parts of the map the heli's were pretty screwed.

Why are we stuck in the modern shooter genre!  Bring back the good variety of weaponry you have with World war 2 or even World War 1.  It also removes the aircraft advantage a little as they move more slowly.

I guess I didn't really play conquest, so didn't really do attack choppers. Maybe rush made it easier to know where people were going to be attacking from.

Sick of modern combat now. Unless there is some compelling reason to get it (mod support, dedicated servers software for the public) I won't even consider it unless it's Battlefield 194(4) or 214(4).

AT4 was awesome and they should bring it back and that dudes not a freak of nature its all a matter of leading the target like the TOW on bfbc2 once you got the hang of it it was easy

First Person Warhammer 40 K shooter (Space marines, Terminator Armour, Storm Bolters and Force Weapons - Fuck yeah!)

and a Medieval FPS (snipers would be bow and Crossbowmen - Assault would be Knights, for Tanks you would have Horses, Engineers would be seige specialists and Medics/Support would be Priests)

not really - i suspect that even putting solidsnake in a WW1 plane will make players rage quit and complain about how the planes are too overpowered

also ww1 maps would just be two trenches 30 - 50 metres away - and everyone will be snipers
