Current "ride" is a 2002 Nissan 4wd, its cheap (well it used to be until RUC and diesel went up)

Project car in the garage is a 91 Sentia lowrider
3L V6 which is undergoing a swap out to a supercharged rotary :)
Undecided on exactly what powerplant to use.

Running a decent kenwood, 6x9s custom fitted into door panels
and 2 17inch kenwoods in the rear.
Seperate DVD player to a 9inch fold down where the rear vision
mirror goes.

Mini ITX running a cut down custom linux distro for media and dual touch
screens on the rear of the front seats but I havent found a way to fit
them neatly, went for newision touch screens.'
Custom Navigation using polstar GPS and gprs link via wavecom cell modem block.

Hell of a lot of work thats taken a back seat due to family commitments :)

Sitting nice and low on some decent 17 inch deep dish, attracts way too much
police attention so im thankfull that is in the workshop right now :P

Atm I'm saving up for a Car from money I get from work. So far I have $1500 but looking on trademe, seeing the prices, just to get an alright Car I will need to save atleast another $500 minimum just to get an alright Car haha.

Not much in Taranaki for $2000 that I would be able to get insurance for :'(

1973 Ford Escort, bit rough, but very original, just needs a quick tidy really. Never been into fords / ever had one but it popped up for sale and ticked a few boxes so I snapped it up. 50,000 miles on the clock :woot

Yeah cheers, sorry removed that post, heres a repost.

Gonna be getting the seat reupholstered in fire engine red, and paint the rims and lower pipes (Which will be semi-visible through the belly pan [ lower piece of plastic - not in that photo which gopes under the bike]), red as well.
Gonna repaint the whole thing in black gloss, and might add some red pinstripe too, in the style of the RG250 walter wolf, it should look something similar to this:

The engine needs a bit more work on it first, been having problems with overheating at low-speeds so im going to take the cooling system apart and check/fix that, and clean+ tune the carbs then ill paint it up and make it look pretty :D

Lookign good.
Do a radiator flush...it prob never had fluids changed for a decade.

I just put a new K&N filter + new Staintune exhaust on my R6 - sounds grunty as now. Need to look into getting a power commander to re-map it though.

Will post up some piccys when i get a chance :)

Its got all new coolant in it, but i might take it to a radiator shop as well and get them to check if any of the pipes are clogged.
Frustratingly I just put all the cooling system back together, I had to take off the radiator to fix a broken engine mount, and now Im going to have to do it all again :'(

Those YZF-R6's are real grunty for a 600cc aren't they?
I really like it's bigger brother (The R1) the only thing I dont like about the YZF line is where Yamaha decided to put the master cylcinder for the front discs, right in front of your instrument panels >.<

Yea thats what I am saying...since it never got changed it prob full of crap...so buy a flush kit from an auto store it usually cleans them right out.

Hmm is it the newer ones with the master cylinder behind the panel? Mines right on the bars where it should be.
And yea - R1 on the cards next ;) (I want one of those ones with the new Big Bang engine)

Ill have a look at flushing it but I'll probably check the water pump as well just to be sure.
The previous (D**khead) owner was cruising around with the drain screw on the pump out, and seemed incapable of reading a temperature guage so naturally he ran out of coolant and cooked the engine, I dont think the impellers on water pumps like being run dry so I wouldnt be surprised if that was f**ked.

At least I can paint the gas tank while Ive got the whole thing in pieces :P

Found a possible culprit for the overheating, took apart the water pump today (Annoyingly i had to partially take apart the transmission to get at it  _p_ and found that one of the blades on the impeller (Little fan which pushes the water around) was completely fucked, and all chewed up, going to have to order a new one in, then I'll put it back together and clean the carbs and once its running again flush the radiator out (bought a flush kit today), hopefully after all that It'll be running like a cut cat, and then i can get onto the cosmetic side of things ;)

Can't people trace plates and find out where you live etc? Remember Craigo telling me a while back.

Nice car btw, brother had one of them when he was like 15 - 16, trashed it tho.

Last time i checked (around a month ago, when some guy hit my car, and drove off, when it was parked), you can get address. I think it costs a small amount, but you can still do it. Along with owners details.

Why? The point is, say i was some crazy stalker. And i see a picture of the car online. I can now go from picture of the car, to the actual car in 1 easy step.

Also blob, carjam is good to check if people wind their rego. And as far as i know, its the same as post office, in that it gets mot info, to provide details about someone's car.

Nice. Completely stock apart from the clearly aftermarket strut brace you mean?

At least you didn't buy it from one of the many downers on TM that don't post pics of the engine bay though :)

The strut brace isn't, or at least I've never seen one on them that hasn't been added. Doesn't look very OEM regardless.

It's not a bad thing, should improve handling and if you want the car completely stock it's probably about 3 minutes to remove, just nitpicking really :P

I have a '67 Mercedes SE250 in my garage. Ex Swiss Embassy vehicle, and I currently drive a 1990 BMW Schnitzer 525i. I am not obsessive ( can't remember when I last washed my car) but I appreciate examples of fine engineering. Jappos have never appealed beyond something cheap to get from a to b, but the Merc., in particular was a pleasure to cruise in.
Title: Re: Post your rides!

^ You see, those ARE cars to be 'proud' of, but when you get generic posts of the same vehicle ad nauseum (I know, artistic license) it gets a little hard to see the wood for the trees. Sort of a fugue and variations....but yeah, you're quite right D, each to their own.

I'm enjoying my crusty, grumpy old cunt, day :P
Title: Re: Post your rides!
Post by: mattnz on August 25, 2010, 03:53:34 pm
It's more an economy thing for me. If I could afford something older in decent condition, and afford the parts when it breaks,I would get one, especially as I like knowing how things work, and some of the electronics in the VR4 go way over my head.

But I can't, so I've got a tidy-looking import with a decent turn of pace, and that'll do me for now.

And "Ricer" is not a generic term for Japanese cars. It is meant to represent a car that is modified to look fast, rather than be fast, something which I am certainly not guilty of.

Thats annoying. Nissan must be absolute crap at making engines. Going by hondas and stuff with 4 cylinder engines, I should be getting 250 - 280HP from my car if i had the same HP per cylinder.

Nissan make crap stock engines xD. But you can usually boost them up by craploads with a few aftermarket addons. My car also uses as much gas as my dads XR6

Hondas make a lot of HP per litre, but doesn't mean jack tbh. You cannot compare engines like that.

Good luck trying to extract 250hp out of an straight 6 (N/A) that's like 15 years old in design.

200hp from both. His car is a non turbed stock R34 which puts out 200hp, my dads Falcon is a stock non turbed XR6 which also puts out 200hp. Meanwhile the stock Supra non turbed Supra I'm getting sometime in the near future puts out 222hp. . . so. . . bust

Oh whoops, misread, thought you meant 170bhp.

But anyway, XR6s were introduced in the early 90s making very close to 220bhp, and they haven't since made them with less power, so I don't really know where you're getting your facts from.

Also, a tip: Saying 'non turbed' three times in a post makes you sound like a bit of a douche, try N/A :P

Yeah VR4s are well known for their economy, but sometimes it seems to mess up when I go to Wellington and I end up using 250L/ fortnight. Real strange, I'm thinking of taking it in to get it looked at.

40L/fortnight is pretty bad, when were your turbos last regassed?

Obviously your car is gaining power when you drive to Wellington, perhaps because of the denser air?

Meet my fine lady Sheryl

Full 2.75" straight through with HKS Super Dragger fitted before import, pod filter etc

Only the RB20DE Manual but until I can afford the running costs of decent power its still got plenty of nut and handles like a wet dream

Only cost me $3000 2 years ago with 127,000kms on the clock and four 235/40R17 Continentals so the original tyres worth worth half what I payed for the car, it needs to be lowered but with the subs and exhaust it attracts cops like angry bees as it is, in fact even being a rather alert driver (first vehicle I drove on the road was a motorcycle) I sometimes take a second to notice the red and blues because I sure as shit don't hear the sirens.

Interesting fact: Subs are so heavy it takes two people to get them in and out of the boot, performance is noticeably decreased with them in, and I have one of the only setups I know of most unlikely to be successfully stolen because the thieves are unlikely to ever get them out.

mm nice^ Ive got a Altezza and a Mazda 3 MPS sedan, both have decent sounds, the mazda with the stock standard speakers and the altezza with a sony xplode kit with a pretty decent sub (not sony but ill find out). The Mazda is pretty quick off the get go and has a nice vrooom sound, probably my favorite. EXCEPT FOR THE DOORS, Mazda 3 doors, i swear, most annoying things ever. Altezza is nice though, automatic seats (very fun to play with). Hopefully ill get some picks of the Mazda.

Nice I'm very sure my next car will be a 2002+ Altezza RS200.

Just out of curiosity you have a 2.6L engine in your Altezza? What engine is that, I thought they either came with the 3S-FE, 3S-GE (both 2.0L) or in the wagon version the 2JZ-GE (3.0L)
Title: Re: Post your rides!
Post by: SaSa on October 19, 2010, 05:39:44 pm
hmm, prolly not a 2.6, ill go look in the manual, or something. but altezza's are great cars, would highly recommend them, ours cost 15k and hardly any k's on the clock, runs like a beaut, plenty of gas when you put you foot down and can be insured as a Toyota Corolla! What more can you want? you can mod it up with some nice wheels and sounds if you want, make it look a bit more boy racer, but thats your decision.
Title: Re: Post your rides!
Post by: mattnz on October 19, 2010, 05:54:05 pm
Or look under the bonnet?

It will be 2.0L unless someone has done some shoehorning, afaik only the wagons had a 3.0L.

I would imagine if it's like any car made in the last 20 years the engine cover will have shiny writing on it telling you what it is.

Yeah if you drive on the motorway at pretty much any time of day in Auckland you are guaranteed to see at least a handful of Altezza's. I think if you put exclusivity aside, they are a damn solid vehicle, the downside is due to this they are holding their price like no mans business.

Yeah I'll take a wild guess that it's the I6 3S-FE SaSa :) you would most likely know what it had if you had the 4Cylinder (RS200) model. And also would have paid more if it had very low mileage I would imagine.

The confusing part is the 4 and 6 cylinder 2.0L engines both say BEAMS on the engine cover, the 4cylinder has it printed in fancy red font is the easiest visual way to tell, also it's a lot shorter of course :)

Even still I've gone for a ride in my workmates 3S-FE, and while it is an economy engine, you cannot deny it is a smooth and nice ride. I haven't had the chance to drive or ride in an RS200, but from what I've heard the extra 60-70 horsies make for really good pickup.

The 3S is the four cylinder block, and in the case of the Altezza, that means the 3S-GE (G for performance wide angle cylinder head as opposed to FE which is the narrow angle economy head....not used in the Altezza but used in Camrys, Caldinas etc. E is toyotas code for fuel injected.)

The 6 cylinder Altezza As200 (and the Lexus IS200) is powered by a 1G-FE.....which is a quite an old engine (much like the 3S, although the 3S has had a lot more development) but kinda the only one that could have logically been put into the Altezza as the next largest inline engine is the 1JZ (2.5l) which already had a place in the larger Mark 2/Brevis etc.

Its the 3S-GTE which is only a single turbo but for a 4cylinder they aren't a bad donk, then again its made by Toyota which explains a lot.

Toyota uses a twin scroll turbo on the 3S-GTE which some people confuse to mean 'twin turbo'. There is only one turbo, but exhaust gases are split and directed to the outer and inner regions of the exhaust turbine respectively.

How do I check the octane rating?

The engine is a D15B non-vtec 1.5L and the car was imported march this year. Has some crazy Shell Helix sticker in Japenese on the inside of the fuel flap, that might be useful but I assumed it was just when the fuel filter had been changed or something.

The car seems to be running fine on 91, but if there is no detrimental effect I might try filling up with 98 to see if the car runs any better/gets better km/l.

Cheers.

Cool sounds like it's not worth it then.

Got a few things planned for the car once I've finished exams. Gonna pull my stereo out my Legend and install it into my Civic. Might need to get some new front splits but I'll see how it goes. I was gonna just try live with the stock stereo but I'm missing having nice fronts + a sub now, and since I spend ~24hrs a week delivering pizzas it seems worth it!

Hoping to take my time and end up with a pretty mint install like this:

Also any idea how much I should be expecting to get for my Legend? It's been rear ended and I was quoted 3.3k to get it fixed, but got the insurance company to pay me out that money instead (bought the Civic with that + my savings). It has some rear end damage where someone drove into me, the boot lid will no longer close and the bumper is cracked and the passenger side tail light is completely smashed. I was thinking about 1k but I really have no idea how much these things are worth.

The car is a 1996 Honda Legend 3.5L with 250,000km. It's WOF expired last week hence me having to get rid of it now. Got 2 new tyres + an alignment 2000kms ago. Also have had the transmission fully serviced with all new Honda Z1 ATF like 4 months ago. Will get some pics tonight when I get around to putting on trademe!

I love the HSV - Seeing one in real life sends a shiver down my spine, then straight to my dick

I however don't know what the idea is behind the silver finish plates above the front grills, it doesn't feel like a place that should be broken up to me. Looks odd.

Well, it is MO-Vember...

TBH I don't really like the styling of them. Seems like they're trying a bit too hard to look flashy, when understated looks would probably make the car's performance shine all the more!

Any which way I look though, I still come back to the whole:
Those engines should make more power, just like the American ones, which pushes me towards the Toyota and Nissan V8's

Anyhow, in other news, I'm driving an auto '91 323 at the moment. It's horrible.
Can't wait to get my big blue buddy back!

I canned getting a WRX because of insurance and because everyone i tested had been thrashed

So i has '97 Legacy GTB, which goes like the clappers.

They come from factory de-tuned. They can make twice the power, but there is not much point on the road.

Things to do:

-Get new stuff for dash (clock surround, air vents surround) as they've been painted gloss black with shitty sanding and look like crap.
-Get a warrent + cv and probably a tire and probably but hopefully not, more stuff..
-Get a full inspection as car has problems.
-New tints,  mine are "the clearest you can get" and are peeling and old.
-Sort out paint as dickhead painted it with spraycans and sun has destroyed it and it comes off when you rub it, looks like crap too.
-Get new mesh for front grill.
-Sort out rims cause they dirty as hell and have a bit of overspray.
-Get back left tire fixed as it has a small puncture and needs to be pumped up every week.
-Get a new handle which puts seat fowards for passenger side door. Its missing.
-Get a new driver side door handle because most of the handle snapped off.
-Clean exhaust tip.
-Get an actual floor for my boot because at the moment its just lots of carpet.
-Get a new headunit and 6x9s.
-Sort out electrical problem (when cranking bass my voltmeter drops with the bassline then comes up again, also somtimes when driving with lights on and i brake, the lights dim quickly then come back and the guages drop for a quater second then come back up and car lerches a little bit as does revs sometimes. And sometimes radio turns off. all this only happens when i break or indicate sometimes. Any ideas what this could be?
-Need a new pod filter as mine is a crap as one off TM also need to move it to the left because its right behind the battery.
-Need new rear view mirror cause mine has chips around it and looks shit.
-Respray wipers black and get new wiper blades.

Just thought id dump my load. Car is a AE101 btw. First car and yes it is shit haha.

A keen gravel-thrasher, I'm hoping to get a pretty sturdy truck. Tidy enough on the inside to take the missus out, but good space in the back for my tools and work gear too.

Amen. Easy way to ruin cars is to add two extra doors when they were designed as a coupe as opposed to a 4 door built from the ground up as a 4 door. Similar to how removing the roof of a sedan or coupe to make a convertible makes the car look crap too. (ref: celica drop top vs mx-5 or s2000)

Very tidy B4 pix

I'm probably going to take some flak for this but I am thinking I want to get a Subaru Forester - namely a STB Type A

I love my Skyline and I would buy another one at the drop of the hat but the missus won't stop bitching about her (shes jealous of my bloody car) and says shes wants a 4 door, and to be honest I really want a vehicle with a decent boot - when we do the groceries the only things I can fit in the boot with the subs in there is coke and milk, and don't get me started on getting my rig and multi-monitor set up to lans.

At least the Foresters have decent power, are relatively comfortable and have a large boot area.

Auto (pretty hard to find them manual)
Only on my restricted, my Dad bought it a few years back for $1000 and fixed it up a bit (wasn't idling at all to begin with, still stalls in park/neutral for some other reason) and put springs and such in over the years, passed it on to me as of late.

It's going pretty good for it's mileage, gotta love chains (Atleast 300+, odometers stopped)

Good idea, both the Legnums and GTB's can haul ass. If you're getting a twin turbo suby, buy a rev D. Or an STI forester :D

It gets driven every day so I dont want to bother with rubbing issues, or front parking curbs etc.
It has been lowered on H&R Springs already, I dont want it "sacked" as you young lot call it

You shouldn't "sack" it, but you should lower it another 20mm, it will give it that much more appeal. Not to mention if done properly, increase overall handling of the car.

It looks a little silly there, that's all :).

Bought it for $2100 with 5000km on the clock, one lady owner.
Only damage is a scratch on the tip of the clutch lever.

Can hopefully sell it for the same price if I get bored of it (bound to)  seeing as they're going for the same price with 20,000km on them.

Are you sure its a 2 stroke.

With headers and exhaust with no expansion chambers like that and based on head shape it looks like a ts500 2valve fourstroke.

Odd design for securing that front drum brake looks kinda like a modified rear mounted at the front.

Very cool love old shit like that.

Those old drum brakes would be like stopping with wooden planks on your shoes.

No late braking and big balls into corners.

He sold it :( Just had a look at his facebook and he said he sold it over the weekend at a swap meet. Damn, I was looking forward to riding it one day.. Oh well, his garage has about 10 other bikes in it(including mine) and most of them are oldies, including a partially built BSA Bantam :D So not to much of a loss haha.

Yea, we were trying to roll start it late last week to see if it would fire but kept running out of driveway before it could properly fire and the brakes were nothing to rely on. It did turn over and fire for a second 2 or 3 times, but that's the most it could do.

Haha fair call! Only some of his bikes I'll be allowed to ride, going up north to Kaitaia over new years and get to take out a few of his off-road 'Mad Max' beaters. He's got a 750cc 4 stroke dirt bike/burnout competition winner that I'm itching for a blast on! :P

All up was a $900 worth of fines. And not so much stupidity, just didn't travel far enough. It was an organized car event (council permission etc) in which legal and illegal cars are aloud to go. Unfortunately I got my car of the trailer about 100meters to early, you see I didn't realize I was on a public road, I thought I was in the grounds where the event was happening, so as you do, I backed my car off the trailer and didn't think twice about a seat belt because I was driving roughly 100meters to park my car, that's when the policeman flagged me to the side of the road where he informed me I was breaking the law. I tried explaining to him that it was a simple mistake on my behalf but even so, I still got the tickets. Its a purpose built track car, not made for the road thus why it was on a trailer going to a legal event. I'd hardly call myself a boyracer, I haven't done a skid on the roads or any other boyracer activities since I left high school lol.

Its New Plymouth, cops here love giving out tickets & stickers. I don't think I look like a trouble maker, I was just there to enjoy the day and show of my car. I even showed him the trailer and ute that was used to get me there, but it wasn't enough. It's fine tho, tickets were paid the following day, wasn't money I would have liked to spend on tickets since it was money I was saving to buy more parts for my engine but hey, just keep on saving and be more careful next time I go to car events.

If it's an event you're going to, you should use a trailer anyway.

Any fine you get from taking your non street legal car onto the roads just because you want to take it somewhere for show is deserved tbh

Actually sounds a bit rough to me, the cop should have been all, 'oh ok fair mistake' if he was right there. He didn't drive it to the event or anything. Booking a race car right outside an event is just the work of a prick.

Pro-tip: A lot of dickhead cops get wood over having people kiss there arse, play along, be polite and apologetic (as much as it pains you) and they sometimes throw you some slack. The moment you lie or become rude, you're fucked.

That counts what ever the situation and who evers involved, cop or no cop.

Maybe they've had problems with BR's taking cars off trailers and doing burnouts etc. outside the event so thats why their clamping down on it?

urban dictionary

i prefer 1  than 2

1.    EDABOC

eat a box, can mean many different things, originated from eating a box (tapping some drop)(or punishing an entire box of Tuis) but now the term gets thrown into conversations as naturally as saying 'ya know'
EDABOC in tang, meaning, fark some bird in Tauranga

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=EDABOC

Yup it does, but I don't go anymore, name just stuck tho.

Currently in the process of engine conversion etc. The old ca18de engine and auto trans has all come out, now have manual setup in, hydraulic handbreak, have a rb20det low km crate engine nearly ready to go in. Atm its just a standard 20det, but gonna get bigger injectors, turbo and a front facing plenum. Just got a new 500hp walbro fuel pump and my workmate is gonna set up a surge tank in the boot for me. Was wanting to go straight to a 25det and get my workmate to help me work that engine, but ended up getting the 20det because they're cheaper and its only for learning atm. Wait untill I get better at drifting before I upgrade to something more powerful. It's all a work in progress but being a diesel mechanic apparentice, my boss lets me use the workshop whenever I want which makes things 100x easier than tryna get under the car when its on axle stands n the garage haha.

credit where it's due, this guy is actually pretty awesome, so far he's demolished your stereotype with a very reasonable explanation, maybe he failed the attitude test which is why he got ticketed, but who hasn't (me - not the point) so then you attack the stickers he has on his car, I know some stickers for D1NZ are sponsors stickers so he has to run them. Then he posts about how he's only learning and taking it easy, fairly humble guy if you ask me.

don't forget about your cooling Idssmith, I've seen so many drift cars retire because they're over heating, pumping more gas, at a lower temperature, at a higher pressure, makes more heat, and a portion is still lost to the engine, drive train etc to finish first, first you have to finish, if it mean not installing the cooler, or downsizing your blower to another day it'll be better to keep the engine cool with a denser radiator, or ice cubes or liquid nitrogen!!!

to be honest, if any of the haters really want to hate on this guy you'd have a go at drifters for ruining the surface of circuits around NZ.....not that I'd expect you to know that, but i assure you, it's a bigger problem than a fucking sticker in his window.

so get the fuck over yourselves, and have a safe and fun new years!

Well neither can I, but at least I do it for the right reasons.

Attacking them for the stickers they put in their window is pretty weak, as is hating them because of who they are, I think the nazi's did some of that, but hating them for clearly defined quantifiable reasons is entirely acceptable.

It's like smokers, I don't actually give a shit that they inhale the smoke of rolled up leaves, but I do give a shit that the resulting disease costs our country millions a year that could be better spent on saving children with diseases they had no choice in, or going to space, or funding new technologies. Just like I don't give a shit that drifting is basically show boating for absolutely no reason, burning rubber and wasting their OWN money, but I do give a shit when it costs the local car club money to reseal the track that could otherwise be spent on other facilities.

I want to sack her out a bit but I am considering just getting larger rims, a little clearance is always nice and if I put 19's on I can tuck the wheels a little and still be safe in driveways.

with 19's on the stock bilsteins you may need to roll a tiny bit, although someone on clubsub would be able to confirm

Looking good though

God seriously the edaboc sticker? edaboc = Streetwear & Clothing VS Car = Automobile, not a manikin to advertise your shitty cloth label.

Somehow I always read it in my head as "eatacock" because the people who have that sticker on their car look like they should be eating a cock.

As Dave said, I am Sponsored by Honda NZ who in term are sponsored by Castrol, Hence Castrol Honda. We also own a Honda dealership in Invercargill, Hamptons were Honda dealers but now they aren't. Ryan was in the Castrol Honda team last year however there was some political stuff went on and now he isn't, also as Dave said it was cheaper to keep their bike painted the same so they left it like that.

I walked away bruised and sore but that is it. I am counting my lucky stars! The bike is OK considering, just fairing damage etc it is pretty much fixed by now I am guessing. It was running really strong after the rebuild, I had qualified 4th (0.6 off pole) then the drought broke and it hammered down and I ate shit.
What sort of Helmet and leathers are you after, give me an idea of what you are after and I will see what I can come up with. I am sponsored by Shoei and Teknic so I might be able to get the supplier to cut a deal. I am away tomorrow morning to Taupo for the final round so won't be able to check till probably Tuesday when I get back to work.

I'd go xr1100 over the qwest especially if you plan to get another thou and do a bit of track work/higher speed shen's

If you're going to buy a big ol' BMW and do some touring go qwest, or even the new flip front

Buuut I don't have to sell helmets anymore so do whatever you want :)

Covers were ripped off and lost when it was stolen, this was before I bought the bike. So hunting for them plus a fuel cap.

Haha yea, bit dodgy, so that'll be the first thing that needs attention. Also found it needs some fork seals as the current ones are starting to perish.

Model is a Suzuki Intruder 250cc, or just VL 250. Don't know the exact year, as I got it in '05, was stolen and recovered about 6 months prior to that and only has 1400km on the clock.

Yea, parts have been rather difficult to come by in NZ. Gonna have to get most of it on Ebay or another online parts vendor.

Nice find, though I'm sure he'll be expecting a bit more then I have right now. Plus, the money that would be used to buy that could be used to purchase the rest of the parts, and then some.

Flush mounts are on order....

Pillion pegs  i have a spare original set i am modifying as they are part of a support torsion bracket under the tail section, so having the spare set i had modified to be bracket no pegs.

also deciding on keeping rear brake reservoir mount, or go to the Tygon pipe / cap reservoir like this. \/ \/

and i am looking for a good seat cowl to match..  the factory bastards are 600nzd through Yamaha NZ.. so looking to source a Chinese copy or order from overseas Yamaha and pay less.

ALSO

Rejigged Whole Garage and built a custom pc for all my tuning and ecu software onto my workbench with wireless net connection, and a car stereo with 4 speakers so i can hide in my man cave for longer...

as seen in this video.
