Chappie.
Plot Summary:
Every child comes into the world full of promise, and none more so than Chappie: he is gifted, special, a prodigy. EDIT: After some Googling, apparently Weta didn't do District 9, for some reason I thought they did. Peter Muyzers did, and appears to be the guy behind Chappie as well.

He would have just turned it into another movie about robots with lots of explosions. And we have had just about enough of those.
