My new baby. Picking it up monday :D

1999 Nissan Skyline with 98,000km on the clock. Picked it up for $5900. Its in amazing condition too, and completely stock.

Nice. Completely stock apart from the clearly aftermarket strut brace you mean?

At least you didn't buy it from one of the many downers on TM that don't post pics of the engine bay though :)

Edit: And this is where cool ICONZ cats post their car http://forums.getsome.co.nz/index.php/topic,29691.0.html

So the strut isn't a stock component?

The strut brace isn't, or at least I've never seen one on them that hasn't been added. Doesn't look very OEM regardless.

It's not a bad thing, should improve handling and if you want the car completely stock it's probably about 3 minutes to remove, just nitpicking really :P

Nice stock 34 man!, those strut braces are standard on the 34s too. A standard GTR has the same strut brace as well.

Really, a lot of people must take them off then...

But yeah, I have seen that particular one a couple of times, so I suppose it is a Nissan part.

Geez, most of these cars look like a glossy version of my eunos...where are the classics people, not these nu skool uglies, but the Zephyrs and the Falcons and the DH Holdens?

Damn vin diesel has a lot to answer for :P

I have a '67 Mercedes SE250 in my garage. Ex Swiss Embassy vehicle, and I currently drive a 1990 BMW Schnitzer 525i. I am not obsessive ( can't remember when I last washed my car) but I appreciate examples of fine engineering. Jappos have never appealed beyond something cheap to get from a to b, but the Merc., in particular was a pleasure to cruise in.

^ You see, those ARE cars to be 'proud' of, but when you get generic posts of the same vehicle ad nauseum (I know, artistic license) it gets a little hard to see the wood for the trees. Sort of a fugue and variations....but yeah, you're quite right D, each to their own.

I'm enjoying my crusty, grumpy old cunt, day :P

It's more an economy thing for me. If I could afford something older in decent condition, and afford the parts when it breaks,I would get one, especially as I like knowing how things work, and some of the electronics in the VR4 go way over my head.

But I can't, so I've got a tidy-looking import with a decent turn of pace, and that'll do me for now.

And "Ricer" is not a generic term for Japanese cars. It is meant to represent a car that is modified to look fast, rather than be fast, something which I am certainly not guilty of.
