Since Ponysay is an Arch linux distribution i found a way to get it working in windows detailed are the quick and easy steps that took alot of trial and error to get working
ponysay as an awesome terminal application to display ponies speaking messages in your terminal great for trolling

Download Cygwin
Install Cygwin and add Python3 and fortune repos when doing the install.
grab the whole gihub source zip from link above.
put that into your user folder in cygwin.
follow the install instructions, however it will fail with an error about xxxinfo and you need to then rename the xxxxinfo.gz file in the cygwin folder file to remove the .gz from the filename and then re-run the install it should execute now.
then using good old VI add some alias's into the bash file.
vi ~/.bashrc
alias ponysay='python3 /bin/ponysay'
this lets you type ponysay xxxx into terminal and get a saying with xxxx
alias ponysays ='python3 /bin/ponysay -q'
this lets you type ponysays and get a random saying.
now if you want this to run when you login to ssh terminal then add
fortune | ponysay
this will give you a random fortune with a pony
or
fortune | ponysays
will give you a random pony and random pony saying.

i think that was more a fail of the cygwin updater...
just got feedback from cygwin devs, known bug issue but undocumented that the soft package upgrade currently breaks ssh configurations.

fortune and python3 are installed now though, i included them in the reinstall.

My guess is either you don't give him access to VSphere, or he has access and is a muppet and didn't take a snapshot pre change :-)

Fair Enough, I blame DV for not giving you VSphere access (I'm assuming they are using ESX, if not, insert relevant VM management tool.)

it was my bad it worked in all 6 test runs locally but when i ran the soft installer i hit the known bug between versions that stopped the ssh service and subsequently couldn't restart it and at that time my ssh tunnel dropped and couldn't get back in to fix my mess.
otherwise totally would have cleaned my own mess.
I think i need and Arsey signature .. DV GONNA BE MAD.

In related news.. MS is commiting code to OpenSSH, and will be building SSH (server and client) functionality into PowerShell.
Fuck yeah!

It's currently only running on my profile I need to edit the global bash file.
Also because your user existed prior to install your bash file wont have it on.

Fucking pony fucks. I can't get that time I spent with the cipher deciphering crap I had to deal with back.
In other news, ssh is working fine.
