I read the first 3 books of the Ender's Game series. I really enjoyed it. Must get back into it.
Piggies!
Orson Scott Card is the George Lucas of writing. Fantastic idea's, terrible execution. The Piggies are great and really interesting but man the story nose dives at the end. Never have I wanted to dive into a book and murder the characters more than with Card's writing, I hate every member of Enders "family" so much.

The Mistborn Trilogy
I love it
So much
Holy christ thanks so much for mentioning it.
Just stayed up all night reading it - I'll regret it when I get fired.
I'm hoping the second book turns out to be good, will be interesting where it goes.
Alloy of Law is pretty good too, it's set 300 years after the first trilogy. It's basically the same kind of stuff but with guns and trains.
Oh snap, didn't know this. Just decided to read Mistborn on a whim while I waited for some books to arrive from overseas.

Been working my way through Isaac Asimov stuff recently. A must read for any Sci-fi nerd. Highly recommend, man was a genius.
Also in the middle of The Mistborn Trilogy by Brandon Sanderson, the guy who finished of The Wheel of Time series when the original author died. Very entertaining writer, easy to read, well paced books.

Ultimately what Pitchey said is best, fuck me but both the series turn to absolute crap.

Well done fair enough.
My recommendation would be tried find a kawasaki 300 2010 or later.
fairings.
Go VTR250 or CB250.
I'm certainly leaning towards a VTR250, I love the look. The ninja 300 are just out of my price range, and yes, fairings.

Passed the handling test today, woo.
After having a play around on the test bike today I feel that the GS500F might be a bit to big and heavy, combine that with the fairing and I think I would be asking for trouble. Also with high KMs, I'm worried about the resale value when I want to move on.

Sitting the learners handling test tomorrow. Any pointers/things I need to watch out for? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=796273593Also, I'm seriously contemplating getting this bike that Xsannz posted earlier. One question though, should I be concerned about the mileage on it (80,000km)? Or are the Gs500's really so reliable that that sort of mileaga is ok?

Ooo, thanks a bunch Xsannz. I do like the thought of not being too upgrade for awhile so that last link looks great, and is local to me.

here is my daily, '00 250 Hornet
didn't know you rode Fez - loving the Striple style headlights
I have only been riding for about 4 months now
How much you get that for Fez? So I decided against the 125cc I was looking at and upping my budget to 5K-ish. Wanting something a bit bigger and more capable of open road trips. I'm quite liking the look of VTR250's but am open to suggestions. What do you lot recommend?.

Thanks for the recommendations. Mostly it will be for around town, but I would like the option of going open road with it. I may have to look around a little more.
How much and how far open road riding are you thinking of?
You could do Palmy to Welly easily enough on that, but I wouldn't want to do Palmy to Auckland or anything.
If you have the budget for something bigger by all means, but that's cheapish, will do the speed limit give or take, and be economical as fuck around town.
Not a lot of open road. Just back home (50km away) on the weekends. I've only got about 2-2.5k budget, 250cc bikes tend to push just outside that range.

Just started playing this. Pretty fun. Just been playing casual and winning and losing a bunch.
Level a couple of heroes to 10 against AI to start. That unlocks a bunch of cards for each hero. Also beating all the AI then expert AI nets you a bit of gold.
Is playing the AI better than playing against people. I generally seem to find playing AI makes your game play fairly static in most games, and then you get destroyed in pvp. That being said, I imagine you could really optimize the AI in this, to play the most efficient way.
Do it to unlock the cards for a class or 2, you can make some decent decks out of the free cards. Doesn't take much time to get a class to level 10. Also, do it just to get the gold rewards from it.

Heh, I bought a g500s because of the shape (my first gaming mouse was a MX518). Shapes something that is subjective in the end. As for the whine, never noticed it till you pointed it out. Had to put it to my ear to hear it though.
Overall I have no complaints about the mouse, feels better that the Imperator I had previously.
