Creative Media / time lapse software
« on: November 01, 2015, 05:32:57 pm »
can anyone recommend Time lapse software?

I have built several outdoor webcams for my weather station and have used TNLenteprises software which ahs been awesome.

However I have just been given this for my birthday:

 http://www.viewtech.co.nz/cctv-and-surveillance-systems/acorn-trail-security-cameras/ltl-acorn-6210mm-gsm-trail-security-camera

It doesn't come with any time lapse software so I assume I need to buy something to convert my squillions of pictures.
I have tried windows movie maker but the results were pretty ugly.
The quality of picture is surprisingly good so I'm keen to have a play.

thanks for the link fairy. It looks great, I'll definitely look in to that one.

And thanks everyone else too, I seem to spend half my life on trip advisor these days planning this trip (7 weeks altogether)
I was just hoping one of you may have been there.

I can't find a travel section here and I know so many of you have done some amazing trips.

In keeping with my love for climbing volcanoes I have booked a trip to Iceland next year.
Well, I have booked my flights to get there anyway.

Has anyone else been there?
Comments on accommodation & transport from anyone whose been?
Am flying in from Copenhagen, 7 nights in Iceland (nothing booked when I get there) then on to London.

Comments on accommodation & transport from anyone whose been, as always, would be appreciated.

Digital camera world have a section each month called "photo advisor".

What are the chances of doing similar here and tapping into the experience that abounds in the "cool photos" thread?

Surely I'm not the only noob in the photo world.

Here's a start......

Photo 1: somehow I have made it look raised rather than an imprint in the sand. I don't know how I did it or how to replicate it.
Photo 2: was taken through a cockpit window. Is there anyway of focusing so that it is not so fuzzy?
Photo 3: An attempt at coconut palm meets the southern cross but the palm looks out of focus due to the long exposure time.http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/841/1huch.jpg

Lining up for the first take off of the day......not the most riveting of subjects but there is always something special about the early morning sky.

We had it up here in Auckland the other day. I think they use it as a refueling tanker.

I could spend hours there

I am in my 11th year working at Auckland airport and every day I still marvel at the aircraft I work around.

To get to work I drive past the Puhinui road viewing areas and always think how lucky I am to get paid to stand underneath an aircraft when I see people who sit there for hours just hoping for a glimpse.

I get really impatient with the people I am testing who have worked at the airport for years and have no interest in aircraft and still don't know the difference between a 747 and a 777.

I drive the poor engineers nuts breathing over their shoulders asking questions all the time, but they all know me now and occasionally let me sit in the push back tug when they take a big one out or let me sit in the cockpit and take the brakes off.
I'm like a kid in a candy store even after all this time.

For models I use this site. They have a great range and good prices.

Yes, we are also in south Auckland and It seems like people must replace their lounge suites and mattress's every year.
Our poultry pile this year consisted of one rusty old hose reel with a hose that had been chewed full of holes by the dog......it was gone before I got to the end of the driveway.

Cargo only. Singapore airlines 747 mega ark.
It comes in twice a week. It's one flight I always enjoy working with just see'ing what comes and goes. Always lots of race horses heading off to Singapore and Melbourne.
This week it brought in 3 Maserati's.

We spent 2 weeks in a campervan around the bottom half of the south island.
1st picture: looking across the Ahuriri river bed near Omarama
2nd picture: the shores of Lake Tekapo following a day of snow.

Well I've had my 600d 2 months now and have taken thousands of photos.
These are the only 2 I'm prepared to post up.
God, it's hard to learn new stuff as you get older.
Honest and constructive comments appreciated.

just a quick courtesy question for you talented young chaps.
Do you have any problem if we upload your photos to use as desktops?
I have grasshoppers eye staring at me at the moment and would love to have a slide show of  deatmeats and others work for my screensaver.
I won't be offended if you say "would rather you didn't".
