Thinking of selling my G1.Sniper 3 mobo and Raidmax case, and getting a Bitfenix prodigy and ITX mobo. Just for an overall smaller and more compact build.

My main question here is; Will my Asus DirectCU II 7970 fit into the Prodigy? Now I know that the Prodigy only has 2 slots at the back for the GPU to fit into, but I have seen that EK do a 2-slot I/O shield for the DCII 7970 which I'm fine with purchasing. the only real concern here is the gap between the second GPU slot and the side panel of the case.

If anyone has any idea on this matter, all help is greatly appreciated.

How much room do you think you'll need from a standard 2slot? I can take a pic of my 680 in case with a ruler sometime.... will try tomorrow

Well the IO shield on the card atm takes up 3 slots, but if I get the EK shield, it'll only use 2.The actual card and heatsink itself only take up about roughly 2.5 slots, and from pictures I've seen of the Prodigy, it has a little bit of room between the second slot and the case side panel. Pictures would be awesome.

Problem solved regarding your 7970 DC II http://www.tweaktown.com/news/30779/bitfenix-goes-prodigy-2-0-with-the-new-prodigy-m-which-supports-microatx-motherboards/index.html

The H100 might even still fit with that layout

Hmm, tempting, though I did prefer the horizontal mobo placement. Decided I'm going to keep the Sniper 3 and buy the Corsair Air 540 when it comes out. I like the look of that case, should perform well too.
