Title: Ashley Madison

A quick search of the map by the New Zealand Herald suggest there are:

• 22861 users in Auckland (84 per cent of which are male)
• 11126 in Wellington (85 per cent of which are male)
• 11048 in Christchurch (87 per cent of which are male)
• 4634 in Dunedin (86 per cent of which are male)

What I wonder is, do you have to be in a monogamous relationship already to sign up? Surely plenty of single people would be signing up as well.

You don't, but if you both have something to hide then people are more likely to participate.

So, generally, you've got eighty plus percent males, then you've got the people lying about being female, then you've got the females trying to catch their cheating males. Must be fun.

You'd think it would be hard trying to hide it from all their brothers-sisters-fathers-mothers

I don't think it would make any difference.

There probably aren't many women out there looking for monkey love.

A lot of people are being caught out because the used their government/work emails. Even teachers who used their school email.

Why the hell would people do that? It's just plain stupid. It's simple to set up a separate personal email using many of the free services out there.

I never use my work email for signing up to adult dating sites.

I mean I would never...

Heard on the radio that some blogger has accepted hush money from some politicians not to report that their names are on the leaked list.

LOL. Politicians are thick as pig shit. Yeah, because the leaked list is being funnelled through ONE NZ blogger, giving them hush money will prevent any of it from seeing the light of day.

Is there a leaked list I can find without going on the TOR network? I wanna leak some politicians names.

One of the Herald articles had a link (can't find which one), some PI firm has a searchable database online.

Yeah, I see there are a few sites that let you search by putting in an email address, but 90% of these are scams that log email addresses.

That site has been reported to store email addresses/info and then spam them.

I signed up (as Bruce Buckford, who's likes include beer, Holden's, and AC/DC), the site doesn't even require email verification. You can use any email, real or fake.

It's much more difficult to create an account on getsome then it is on Ashley Madison. Getsome has a recaptcha, that silly bot-clock, and email verification. Much better security.

The Ashley Madison interface is horrible, it's terrible to navigate, and it's full of obvious fake female accounts.

Username: bbuckford
Password: getsome

I've found tinder to be a horribly written app.

Considering the amount of money they must be making from the bot accounts on tinder, that they're "trying to stop"; I would have expected a much more stable app.

I watched a documentary where he goes around trying to convince religious heads that god doesn't exist and he spent most of the time shaking his head in disbelief, not actually arguing, or discussing if you like.

I dunno, I'm sure he's a very clever man, he just comes across as a bit of a wanker. No one likes an evangelist, eh Richard.

Ah - I have seen that documentary - I found it quite interesting.

The charge of evangelism has been levelled before and TBH I think there is merit in the charge - but I think an evanvelism of sorts has to exist whilst decisions are made in the halls of power based on Faith/Religously held beliefs as opposed to ratioanal debate.

When I saw the head shake of disbelief - normally it was either at a blatant lack of scientific understanding or at the non-sensical claims being made.

I bet Richard Dawkins would be signed up to Ashley Madison. Because from an evolutionary point of view, infidelity gives him an advantage to spread his genes.

I always suspected most of the women I messaged on dating websites were just fake/staff accounts.

I mean, who the fuck would chat to ME for weeks, and then mysteriously not want to meet when I ask. I'm SEXY AS FUCK.

And then as soon as my subscription runs out, super hot babes would start sending me a shit tonne of messages, which of course I couldnt read.

Fuckers.
