Title: Mr Robot (Christian Slater is totally [s]not[/s] imaginary guys)
Post by: Clin on August 07, 2015, 11:47:06 am

If you like Unix and think you have assburgers then boy have I got the show for you!

Most of you would have heard about this by now, but if not, Mr. Robot is a series about a vigilante hacker who is painfully awkward around girls by day and takes down evil corporations by night.

It's pretty good because they try to keep the "hacking" itself fairly realistic. Bad USBs, social engineering etc.

There is the occasional moment where you'll roll your eyes into the back of your skull though. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQM5fU7V-MM)

Hnnng dis show is god-tier.

Apparently the writers have the story mapped out until season 4 - providing it keeps ratings long enough to make it to season 4.

Halt and Catch Fire has been absorbing my Tv watching lately. Marathon'd first season.

Halt and catch fire is on my list, I'll get there.

I don't think any show should be dragged out any longer than 4 seasons. It's an idea, not a gravy train.

See, Slater and $2 Brittany Murphy had a scene on their own last night. Totally not fight club.

The relationship these 2 have is fucked - but holy shit it's good to watch.

Welp. Latest episode has put a stop to its almost perfect run of solid tech-talk.

Elliot needs to run a wipe on his PC. So he pulls out his RAM modules to microwave and sits down :\

I always thought that was weird. Who wants to buy RAM every week? He did it the first time he wiped too.

I have a feeling that someone is going to get a hold of the RAM chip is dog swallowed and discover all his hacking stuff...

Because you know, storing data in RAM chips is totally a thing.

Watched the first season of Halt and Catch Fire. So good, cheers for that.

I think I'm just a little bit in love with Donna Clark.

On a totally unrelated note, I'm using USENET for the first time in my life weeeeeeeeeee.

Usenet is boss.

Hit me up if you want an automated system using Sonarr, Plex and SABnzbd (and decent Index sites).

Donna gets better and better.

I thought the same thing at first, but i think this show is too good to pull some convoluted shit like that.

Can't wait for the last episode of the season, the last one was just amazingly good.

Watched the latest ep last night.

Jesus.

Show leads you on, forcing you to question whether or not Mr. Robot is real, and then it kicks you in the nuts.

So they pulled the season finale because of that news crew shooting. Totally understandable.

Why is everyone on the forum recommending complete garbage? This show is about as engaging as watching walls dry and is about as believable as Scorpion

Thanks for the review.

I thought the premise looked a bit silly. It's good to know I'm not missing out on much.
