I was watching the history channel last night, as I do most nights to wind down before going to bed, and was watching those old news reels from the fourties.
One was a piece about a paint factory that burned down destroying everything. The newscaster exclaimed "the damage was estimated in the thousands".
Well, as much of a clichê as it is, I would imagine wealth would be measured on a scale of how long you could live maintaining your current standard of living, paying all living expenses after the point that all income ceases.
Willing to bet there are few to none of those people in this country.
We are a village. Which is not saying much, because when you have enough money, the whole world is a village. A globe of statistics, where people act en masse, predictably.
But honestly, anyone who believes they are elite in this country make me laugh. I've heard of people here in Napier refer to themselves as such. So I ask, the elite of what?
I assumed it was a device to see who actively checks their Rep. Guilty. And yes, while publicly inappropriate ( it wasn't public as such) that was very tame. If you want to see what I personally think is the worst thing on the internet (barring animals and children of course, which you can't even accidentally come across) msg me.
