yep, the side NZ public don't see. I have still yet to get anywhere, once I get cash settled I have to go through design, consent, demolish & rebuild.

So in all honesty about 18 months from now, or 5 years after the 1st EQ I should be moving into a non fucked house. That's best case scenario, Im picking more like 24+ months.

I'm surprised people in ChCh aren't more angry at the Government about it.  EQC was undoubtedly swamped at the beginning, but there is no excuse for the ongoing shitstorm. I guess the Government has done a slick job of ensuring others get the blame for everything that going on.

It's the guise of having someone to blame but really smearing shit around so much that no one is to blame. That and to hold shit up as much as possible in order to create the right conditions to test the previous uses.

complete cash settlement on rebuild and then sell my house and section to neighbor builder for a tidy little sum so he can rent it for a few years and then build places on the back.
