I found this a litlte insipid.....no real pear flavour that I could taste.

Kopparberg pear cider is the answer. Im not sure if you can find it in NZ, I have only noticed it in Aus for the last 6 months or so.
Rekorderlig cider is popular with the ladies, but is too sweet for me and has no real pear flavour.

Just found a shop where I can get Emersons in Canberra. What a top brewer, if only I could get a bottle of their bourbon barrel porter. Im not even sure they make it anymore.

The way I see it is that I am doing pure science, just working stuff out because we dont already know about it. My supervisor on the other hand think this has applications to:

Water use efficiency in crop plants

climate change

global warming

biofuels/alternative fuels

travel to outer space

saving the AIDS orphans

building superhumans with laser eyes

...

My girlfriends supervisor genuinely thinks he is saving the world through the study of Bee memory. Academics are fanatic about their subject eh...

Having one of these tonight:
Enough trouble getting this lid open but definitely worth it, massive flavour for such a light coloured beer!

I thought it was a ripoff, has an awesome lid though. At $18/bottle I expect a pretty good beer, if you want a golden ale that doesn't fuck around then try this one for about the same money: La Fin Du Monde
