How thorough should I be with ensuring that I'm not infringing trademarks and/or copyright when I select a domain?
If someone already has a domain I want, but is sitting on it like a little bitch, what can I do? like this bullshit: http://www.zippa.com/ is that whole 123.reg.wotcunt.uk legit?
Please ask more questions if more specific questions will help
Also, when I click "add attachments" the actual button and most of the related text is being pushed out of the frame/table/text area so I can't read most of it.
I assume I'm hitting some sort of filesize limit, maybe a notification/handling would be better than completely losing the post?
Our class have to present a poster in the next few days for our final year projects.
Mine is 594mmx841mm, res is 7016x9933 (300dpi)
I'm getting mine printed tomorrow morning (I'll pop it up for C&C here when it's nearly done).
One of my class mates has been told the file has to be PDF and less than 10MB, is this even possible? is it possible while maintaining even a shread of quality?
How else might I package this thing up to make it smexy?
Slightly related to Blackhearts thread, as E3 has just finished, still have GDC to go, and then quakecon next month.
So far my list:
Far Cry 4 (fuck im a sucker) Grid Autosport (it's not even 2 weeks away!) Project Cars GTA5 Battlefront Doom BFH Star Citizen Elite: Dangerous
In order of interest over knowledge.
I really enjoyed FC3, so immersive, and raiding the bases only became dull near the last 2 or 3 once I had the formula worked out. I'm going to smash some racing games, I've been playing pcars so know what it's capable of. I didn't really get into GTA4 (although I got it on steam for $6 the other day I'll have a crack once I do the graphics mods). Battlefront looks awesome, Doom sounds interesting.
Those few scifi games are sounding excellent, but still quite far off I think, so I'm not too excited for them yet, but it's mounting!
I'm personally not too interested in the machine or the controller unless steam games became more lounge social. I enjoy playing little big planet etc in a group but I never liked playing multiplayer COD on ps3.
I am however really interested in steam OS, I've always wondered if someone could hack windows into being less hungry in the background and I guess the answer is "it's easier to just use linux" which is saying a lot. Valve are going to have to convince developers to move away from directx into whatever they're developing for linux, openGL or something?
I think what valve are doing is really smart, especially if they can get on board with the PS4/XBONE developers. If they can structure steamOS so it's as good or better than a console to develop for then we might just see AAA games landing really nicely back into the PC market.
Also it's all wonderfully open and free, valve are releasing the CAD files for their first prototype machine so we can hack it how we want. the controller is designed to be hacked too.
This all seems familiar to that Ouya thing that popped up and seems to have died down a bit...
What do you guys reckon? Think valve have moved in the right direction? think it will work? is this the new generation of PC master race?
Being that Season 19 hasn't aired in New Zealand yet all of the following opinions I give are based on rumor from what my friend in the UK has told me happens in each episode.
Ep 1 was pretty awesome, I always watch the "this season on top gear" closely in case they leave something out, which they have done in the past.
Ep 2 was a bit dull, 3 poms driving some okish cars around a bit of america for absolutely no reason, and they do a bunch of fairly boring challenges. I kinda feel they were missing some imagination in this one.
Stoked with the a new season though! AT LAST! I even missed the intro.
Also I was torn whether to post this in Planes, trains and automobiles, or in TV....
So I've wanted one of these for longer than top gear has had their V12 (I'm a hipster petrol head ok?)
I bidded on a few blocks over the years, bidded on a few blocks with a few parts, I always wanted one with at least the block, crank, conrods and pistons, also it has to be an ally engine, I don;t want an ugly steel one, one night my old flatmate was yarning while drunk about how he had this rover V8 sitting in a gorse bush, later I swapped him a wrx block for it (cost me $60) sooooo $60 for my V8 and I was happy.
He went and picked it up and I left it in the front lawn under a bush in my front yard for a few months.
Do they not understand that if they kill off the dolphins, it'll be worse than not having 1.7 million NZD because you wont have anything and you will die.
I think we need to start nuclear testing in the Solomons.
What a fantastic concept, and it's actually going ahead!
I remember Bell saying there's 5% profit in a console game and that android games were somewhere around 30%, wonder where this will sit? considering the majority of android games are free or cheap already I'd say closer to the 30%.
To be honest I cant see EA getting too involved with something like this, I have only 1 EA game on my tablet and it's tetris and it's pretty terrible.
but my favourites like solitaire, death rally, tank hero, world of goo, fruit ninja and dark meadow (check out the shaders in this game, runs unreal warfare engine) are all free! the rest of the 20 something games on my tablet are either free or cheap.
I'm thinking of getting some more glossy games, most for less than $5, they re made final fantasy III for DS a few years ago and have released it on android for $20 (fucking expensive!)
I wonder if this will be the game changer they're slating it as?
