Team Fortress 2 / Re: Servers Suggestion box
« on: July 31, 2015, 09:44:42 pm »
Its really fun to play but I can't find any Australian servers who run it.

Probably because the only people who believe in Slender are 12 year old americans?
Its not just slender, there's other bosses like weeping angels, grunt and even...shrek.

Sounds like a FF (Freak fortress) Reskin if you ask me. We do intend on updating the FF2 boss list from what i recall from another post from Gutty, so yea. Is there any other major differences compared to FF and if so what? im interested ;p
Sorry for a bit of a late response but there is a huge difference. You don't actually attack the boss, the only way to defeat them is by getting all 8 pages and escaping or just escaping. There are also other meters like flashlight, blink and sprint. The roulette is also a feature that can screw your game or make it great (no other players, unlimited flashlight e.t.c) Here's some game play: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dv--EtLdgRQ

I don't like minecraft, I probably don't like it just as much as this guy.

Kids should stop playing minecraft and go outside, or if it's raining, they can stay inside and play with real Lego.

Expect for kids under 3, as the Lego pieces are small and a choking danger.

Duplo for the kiddies :) unless they have abnormal throats..

What grinds my gears is when Cost Co changes the locations of the products in their warehouse, so I have to find them all over again.

It does have components that could contribute to a bomb (e.g battery)

um no - if you are stupid enough to try and make a bomb with a 3032 (cmos type) battery then you need to go back to kindy.

im not suggesting you try and make a bomb, but lithium batteries would be much better. i'll let you discover why

Doesn't mean that someone couldn't try to hide a lithium battery in a computer.. And since when do they teach bomb making in kindy :p.

Reading through this thread on geekzone

As far as I'm concerned, if someone takes a computer with a part that looks like a gun through customs, then he's an idiot and deserves to get his PC ruined.

But a lot of other posters are taking his side and blaming the custom officials.

If I was that guy I would've just mailed it. Also, I think the Custom Officers had every right to check his PC. It does have components that could contribute to a bomb (e.g battery), though they could've taken more care in the search.

Planes, Trains & Automobiles / Re: Your dream plane
« on: July 15, 2015, 07:53:05 pm »

F4 Phantom This has always been my favourite plane. I couldn't care about faster, agile or lighter models. This jet has always been my favourite. It's beautiful.

OR

A-10 warthog equipped with the mandatory 30mm Gattling gun

Along with a collection of ww2 planes.

Hawker Hurrican
Mitsubishi Zero
Supermarine Spitfire
BF-109

I plan to save up and build one (ww2 fighter) one day.

Awesome! WW2 planes are the coolest.

My dream plane is the Cessna TTx with a blaze two-tone interior.
Its a single prop aircraft with a beautiful look to it.

Intellectual Discussion / Re: Australia's GST

Take every banker, politician, stock trader, economist, corporate raider, etc and hang them from the nearest power pole. Rinse and repeat, then rebuild the financial system from the ground up in a equitable, fair way that prevents greed and capitalism.
This is just...genius!

No it's not, it's dreaming.

There can never be a fair and equitable financial system that prevents greed and capitalism. So might as just make the best of what we have.
Yeah, there never can be a 'perfect' system and your right, we should make the best of the situation :)

Intellectual Discussion / Australia's GST
« on: July 09, 2015, 09:45:46 pm »
GST (Goods and Services Tax) is currently 10% in Australia. This overall has its benefits such as easy mathematical calculations but, this has led the government to increase taxes in other areas. This has had some negative effects on Australia such as selling off our power grids and taxing more and more things such as divorce. I believe that the government should raise the GST to 20% and remove some of the fees that are affecting the less wealthy (e.g reduce/remove personal income tax for people on minimum wage). What do you think the Government should do?
