Hi guys,

My wife is about to enter a new contract with a firm she has worked with over a number of years. Without going into to much detail they are kind of expecting it to just remain status quo which we don't see as a fair negotiation. These people have short arms and long pockets. Has anyone used a kickarse employee advocate that can sit in on contract negotiations and deliver a knock out blow where required.
Any help in this area would result in a chocolate fish delivered to your mailbox.

Thanks

Edit -Auckland area

HAHA - this guy.

I'm getting an extra $600 in a few weeks for just staying away from the unions.

But seriously, if it's a new employment contract, what is stopping her from negotiating more monies?

I'm a bit confused.

Workplace is upgrading it's individual employment contract to match what the union offers so we can all enjoy our workplace without the stupid, pissy bullshit that is inherent with unions.

Without turning this into a debate, IMO NZ's society and employment laws have outgrown unions.

USA on the other hand are stuck in the dark ages.

There is a lot of office politics going on with a couple of people sticking their oar in who have no business doing so.She wants to do a face to face with the owners and cut out the brown nose brigade. Problem is it can be a little intimidating sitting across a desk with the owners putting on the squeeze. There is also some internal office shit that needs to be discussed that could turn things to shit if not handled correctly.
