I know right. It seems no matter what I do to cover my arse (full mockups, long detailed planning, contracts outlining revisions, forms etc) the general public just has a way of being utter dicks.
Mostly people are cool but it seems lately every second client is a nightmare. I think perhaps this industry has had the better of me.
I just applied for a few jobs back home, I'm out. Last straw.

Sometimes it sucks because you can't say goodbye because then you say goodbye to a paying client.
However, slash their fucking tires and sacrifice their first born.

I can let go of a design if they are being too dickky, fussy and generally misinformed but once I have designed and coded a site, I've dropped maybe 40hours.
Then I am stuck either doing another 25 for free or losing the lot.
Ironically despite all my rage, I keep getting referrals because I am good to work with :/

I could do it for you at a set quote! Give me as much info as you can, I'll design a mockup in illustrator. We do two rounds of revisions, then I spend a week building the site, then you fuck me in the arse and refuse to pay!

Client has had me design an A2 poster totaling something like 5hrs of work. It should be a 1-2 hr job at most. Keeps asking for changes then negating those changes by asking for what was there in the first place. Keeps asking for stupid alterations that even a child should be able to see wont work along with ignoring my advice that what he's asking for goes against brand protocol.

Wants 10 x A2's printed and on the courier by 4:30pm.

Just told him to forget it, you missed the deadline.
