me and some of my friends have had a problem with punk-buster kicking us because the server is running an older version of punk-buster than our clients. Wen we get kicked we get this error,
"ERROR
Game disconnected: you were kicked by PunkBuster. Stated reason: PunkBuster kicked player 'TheLordAxiom' (for 0 minutes) ... This PB Server Requires (A1386 C2.331) - Error loading pbcl"
wen i researched this error everyone says to update PB and that fixes the problem, i am running (A1386 C2.342), which is obviously a newer version of PB and i thought that it would be backwards compatible with servers that run older versions but i'm wrong, I don't seem to be able to find C2.331 to manually install the PB websight only lists the newest version and no 3rd party web sights seem to have it. if anyone could help me with this problem or maybe update the servers PB to the latest version that would be great. :)

I was also going to suggest a manual update of the Punkbuster software.
But I see this advice has already been given.

ok what i taught was a manual update wasn't a "Manual" update now i have actually manually updated it has worked thanks for the help

Also, have you tried manually updating punkbuster?
Goto www.evenbalance.com (http://www.evenbalance.com) (I swear that page hasn't changed in 10 years) and download the manual updater.
This worked for me.

Sorry dude I was busting your balls 8) . I did update that server, does anyone player the others as I haven't bothered with them.
