Is anybody else constantly amazed at the apparent performance difference between seemingly huge and slow trucks vs SUV's?
An anecdotal analysis of pseudo drag races from the lights would have me purchasing a B train over the fucking Santa Fe.
Here's how it goes:
Light turns green. Concrete truck moves away, SUV driver puts down their phone. Truck 1/4 of the way across the intersection, SUV driver puts car into Drive. Truck half way across intersection, SUV driver checks left and right. Truck 3/4 of the way across the intersection, a tradie in his hiace full of paint is behind the truck. SUV driver takes their foot off the brake. Truck across the intersection, tradie changing lanes. SUV driver locates and applies 2% accelerator pedal.
At this stage the best thing a car company could do to sell me a car, is not sell cars to fuckwits. The fucking salesman will say "Does 0-100 in 7.4 seconds" "FUCK OFF IT DOES, NO SANTA FUCKING FE DRIVER HAS EVER BEEN 100, WE'RE STILL COUNTING THE FUCKING YEARS UNTIL THEY GET THERE"
And it's not really just SUV's, it's every single car that is shitty, hatch backs, sedans, 300Hp, 6 cylinder falcadore. FIND THE FUCKING ACCELERATOR AND PRESS IT YOU MONG.

This is gonna be fun!

Fair enough, they do drug testing in normal sports.
Unless they introduce a rule where players MUST be on stimulants. I would watch the fuck out of that. I kind of think that's how they could fix Formula 1, "YOU HAVE 20,000kW, THE FINISH LINE IS 400Km AWAY, GET THERE BEFORE THE OTHER CUNTS"

The huge advantage is that you don't have to make existing power sources obsolete, just change where you get your fuel from. As other technologies supplant internal combustion, that change can happen at it's own pace.
Got any links or keywords for that Audi technology?

There's nothing wrong with internal combustion as a power source. liquid fuels are a highly efficient energy storage mechanism. The problem is teh fuel source. We're taking billions of years worth of carbon sink and releasing it into the atmosphere in an eyeblink.
We already have the technology to produce liquid fuels either from bio sources ( although there are issues with arable land use ) or Audi has been experimenting with fuel directly from H2O + CO2 + energy. So build fucking big solar stations ( or nuclear) in the middle of deserts and build big arse refineries right next to them, then ship the resulting carbon neutral fuel into an existing infrastructure.
This all will happen eventually as fossil fuels deplete, but it would be simplicity itself to accelerate the process. Just use taxation as a method of giving carbon neutral liquid fuels a price advantage. the market will take care of the rest.
All that's missing is the will.
Nah, Relative to a BLDC, the ICE sucks in terms of engineering. Yeah, the fuel source is key. If petrol had the same energy density as the latest batteries, the ICE would be dead in the water.

I'd rather we didn't have such anal gun control and self defence laws.
From my younger days I know any crim or dodgy bugger who wants a gun can get one, but legal owners have to jump through hoops, and the police can object to your license, and/or take it off you at any time for any reason they feel like. Not to mention every time someone shoots a bloody crim in NZ the police arrest them.
By, 'such anal gun control', surely you don't mean to allow the importing of uncontrolled guns? Like I can respect, and discuss the laws surrounding controlled weapons, but not uncontrolled. Personally I think our gun control laws should be stronger, I've known too many unhinged people who legally own a gun.

Any ideas how many packages customs have to scan and then inspect daily?
Id' rather they inspect more packages and occasionally cause significant loss than let guns through.

I can't help but think the Musk's attempt to make fossil-fuel-free cars is actually worse than what we already have.
The manufacturing that goes into producing all those electronic parts including the batteries creates so much waste. And then expand that every time more and more of his cars hit the road.
Yeah, though I get the feeling that our current method is always bad, it's will always trend downwards. Making electric cars will be downward to begin with, maybe even at a steeper slope, but eventually it'll flick over and begin trending upwards. It's like the first step in breaking the downward spiral, though it all hinges on a better energy storage technology.

Oh, someone on reddit was fired? And so then the entire rest of reddit got all up in arms about it?
That seems awfully out of character for the internets! (yeah, sarcasm)

Shit employees are incredibly hard to get rid of.
I still haven't seen why she was fired. I suspect reddit wide brigading is the reason for this.

Reddit is....kind of down at the moment.
Apparently businesses should not fire people. And when they do that is the correct time to fleetingly have a discussion about communication.

That rocket had no fins, no surprise it went belly up.
Pretty basic construction error imo.
Where we're going, we don't need fins!

Domains can depend on the type of domain you want. I use iwantmyname for most things, and few with godaddy.
What are you hosting? This will determine what your requirements are.
You can't trademark a domain. You can only trademark the content hosted on a website. You should care about infringing on trademarks.
Squatting is hard to overcome, and not worth the time and effort. Huge multinationals have been known to give up on buying a domain from a squatter.
At this stage it's just a proof of concept, I just want some space to play around in for keeps.

Maybe because of how high it was. Less oxygen the higher you go, I'm just guessing though.
plenty of liquid oxygen on board to make a big boom.

It didn't look like a normal rocket 'splosion though.
Usually there's Michael Bay 'splosion and Bruce Willis, but this time it was all puffy and white and then disintegrated. Not sure why?

- Where should I buy my domain?
- Where should I buy my hosting?
- How thorough should I be with ensuring that I'm not infringing trademarks and/or copyright when I select a domain?
- If someone already has a domain I want, but is sitting on it like a little bitch, what can I do? like this bullshit: http://www.zippa.com/ is that whole 123.reg.wotcunt.uk legit?
Please ask more questions if more specific questions will help Thanks people!

We wouldn’t ask the engineers what their views on our software systems were. We’ll put in what we think is the appropriate for us
Some more context here Tiwa?
