Colts 6-0 undefeated baby!!
Same with Saints and at half time in their 7th game, they are leading the Falcons 28-14. Go New Orleans. :rnr:
Could this be our season?
-
Go the Broncos. Though the game against the Ravens hurt. Oh well up until then it was Six and Oh
-

And that was the week after their bye, you would have thought they would have rested up but it just shows that sometimes a break can actually be damaging to you if you're on a roll.
Good to see Saints hung in there to win (nail biting stuff). That makes them and the Colts the only two unbeaten teams after week 8.
-
Vikings all the way, even with Favres soap opera:D
-
I am still a Raiders fan through and through but unfortunatly they have taken turn for worse these days
-
Vikings all the way, even with Favres soap opera:D
Percy Harvin is defiantly the leading candidate for rookie of the year. Great acquisition for the Vikings this year.

-
How bout that college football!! Iowa(4), Oregon(8), LSU(9), Penn State(11) and Notre Dame(22) all failing. Go Horns!!!
-
Saints beat the Carolina Panthers 30-20 to remain undefeated and go to 8 and 0. :rnr:
NO and the Colts are the only two unbeaten teams thus far. This may well be New Orleans year (although they do have a pretty ratshit post season record, so no crowing yet).

What's that!? Jay Cutler you say?
-
Trade for Jay cutler they said...
-
Its dumb.
The coaching staff - Lovie Smith, et al - just had no idea how to use Kyle Orton effectively. Hence why, when he went to the Broncos (who have an in telligent coach) he has been mega-effective. Now they have no idea how to use Jay Cutler effectively. Also, Cutler might be an asshole who doesn't want to play for Chi-city. One or the other.
-
Pretty sure today's game on ESPN is the Pats v Colts. I'm in Wellywood today, so i hope the hotel's got Sky. :sunnies:

WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!, REGGIE WAYNE!!!
SUCK ON THAT PATRIOTS.
bl tofu, but what a fucking awesome game to watch!
-
Vikings struggled, but still dealt to the poor old lions, 8-1, i remember the last time they were too. Randy Moss was a rookie, and fuck he was/is awesome
-
pretty sure they were the team he supported growing up etc, he wasnt unhappy at all about going there.
Yeah, I know ... he's just made some pretty stupid comments about the fans and stuff. He seems like a bit of a jerk. Maybe I'm wrong? Also, I guess I'm probably hacked off because Orton is doing so well with the Broncos.
he doesnt have anyone decent to throw to really
This is a good point - no clear star receiver PLUS his o-line couldn't block me and you at this point. Between that and the defense, they should just change the Chicago logo to a picture of a sieve :D

That's Kyle Orton in the background isn't it? Get a current season pic to do it justice as the current Chicago Bears are more facepalm than last seasons ;)
-
Far out reggie wayne is that man
that was the mean clutch play from him and manning vs the patriots
-
Pats v Saints starting in an hour. There goes my afternoon. :rnr:
-
yeah that game is gonna be mean. i think i may have to mysky that but should be a good competition
Saints will be hard to stop with their unlimited amount of offensive plays
but if anyone can do it the pats can
-
and it would seem the saints are the real deal....
all things going well, hope my vikes meet them in the NFC championship game, knowing the vikes however, theyll just break my heart again:(
-
saints are definately the real deal this year
Drew Brees is ripping
his passes are right on the button
ill stick with my team the Colts to make the final but the saints are on a role
-
and it would seem the saints are the real deal....(

Kind of. I watched the game the other day and they were impressive, there's no doubt. But they have problems defending against the run and i can't think of any team that's been able to win the superbowl without being able to control the clock.
So they will have to get a bit more wise in that regard. It's not to say they can't win it, but i still have my doubts.

I dont think theres any perfect team out there, but they certainly showed they can do it against a good opponent. hopefully AP can show up these issues with the run you speak of more than Drew Brees shows up the Vikings inconsistant pass D. Tho I hope Allen and the Williams Wall makes him hop around a bit:D
still gotta get to that point first, i remember the 98 Vikings, 15-1 and lost because the kicker missed his only kick of the season....gutting:(
-
Chicago Bears ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!
-
SIGH come home early from work to watch the Vikings get dominated by the Cards, they have to be in contention for the NFC with the Saints and the Vikes
Gutted EJ Henderson, the starting MLB had his leg broken gruesomely near the end of the game, one of my favourite players:( hope that isnt his career and hes gonna be ok in the long run..... not gonna link this one as its nasty...
-
...they have to be in contention for the NFC with the Saints and the Vikes.
Saints have now taken the NFC South title and are 12-0 for the season. All right!! :rnr: Didn't make it easy on themselves though. There were never in the lead at any time in the game until the field goal in extra time, which we got because the Redskins missed a field goal 2 minutes from full time. That miss allowed the Saints to start an 80 yard drive, with no time outs, that ended in a touch down 33 seconds later. For once the lucky breaks fell our way (about time too).
I also heard this is the first season ever where two teams are 12-0. You would think the likely SB should have Saints and Colts.

yeah you guys got lucky, but a lot of teams get that (Vikings v 49ers for instance) while Saints Colts looks most likely, the Saints wont have it all their own way.....regardless if they do get through, theyll be the team I follow as mine will be out!
-
I wouldn't mind if the Saints win it - as a payback for Hurricane Katrina. It will be very emotional (in a way that only the Yanks can do it) if they do win the Superbowl, but there's plenty of water to flow out of the levies before that happens.
-
lol at the Patriots. Oh how the dynasty is tumbling down.
Tom Brady is playing piss poor, the play calls are terrible and their defense is in shambles. Also....
lol@pittsburgh for losing against the Chiefs and the Raiders :chuckle:
-

the cardinals offensive line doesnt let anyone near kurt warner
as for my colts, they just keep rolling 21 straight regular season wins since last season
1 more to beat the record and win AFC
-

Colts and Saints are both 13-0-0. This year it's a great comp, but I'm unsure exactly how much that has to do with two teams dominating (instead of one which makes it more interesting) or because one of those two is the Saints.

good to see the vikings back to winning ways

Is live on ESPN at the moment. Not sure how this works, because its supposedly the "Thursday Night" match, so it may not be as live as Sky would have you believe.
The game was preceeded by a minutes silence for Chris Henry, the Bengals WR who died as a result of an altercation with his girlfriend earlier this week. :(
RIP.

That was tragic that Tofu, after he had seemed to get his life on track and all, was sad seeing the bengals interviewed about it earlier in the week
oh and no more unbeaten Saints, Cowboys win in December, shocking!
-
The game was live (as I was following it over the internet till I got home to see the forth quarter), but I have no idea what the Thursday Night Live bit was all about. All I can surmise that if it hadn't been for Christmas, the game would ahve been played on Thursday, so it was called a Thursday night game. Then Christmas forced them to bring the games forward a few days but it kept it's name (Americans can be just like Germans at times). Having said that, I see there is a game on Christmas Day, so I could just be full of grit.
Gutted we are no longer unbeaten (although when Dallas missed that field goal with two minutes to go, I thought we may have been in with a shot). At least now the pressure is off to stay unbeaten. Let's hope we get back to our winning ways next week against Tamps Bay. It shouldn't be hard, but then it shouuldn't have been hard for Liverpool to beat the cellar dwellers Portsmouth the other day yet they failed (oops! thread cross over).
-
Manning MVP fo' sure now.
-
LOL - oh glorious day. Not only did the Colts lose their unbeaten record, but i had a little flutter on the Jets to knock them over. :finger:
-
Nice pick there man, it was quite a hammering as well.
Shame the Saints lost second week in a row as well (in overtime too!). Hope this is not the start of a downhill slide.
-
i would be concerned if i was a saints fan, as i am being a vikings fan.....
still, on the couch with a beer waiting for monday night football:)

I am a little. Shame Vikings lost to Chicago yesterday.
now i am MORE concerned, however at least they showed some life to come back from 16-0 down and 23-6 down midway thru 3rd quarter.
eagles and cards look stronger at the moment i have to say, tho tbh any of the NFC playoff teams could run the field
-
LOL - oh glorious day. Not only did the Colts lose their unbeaten record, but i had a little flutter on the Jets to knock them over. :finger:
We were leading up until they took Peyton & co out of the game.
200 yds offense compared to 10 yds of offence when Peyton was on and off the field.
-
I don't know who does the odds for the TAB on the NFL, but they don't seem to have a clue. I just dropped a small amount on the Bengals to beat the Jets. Now, the Jets may well win the game (because they get to the playoffs if they do), but the Bengals are paying $4.50! So the TAB thinks they're rank outsiders - go figure.
edit: the more i saw, the more i liked. I got some money on the Patriots - paying $3.60! against Houston. And the Pats to be AFC champs at $5.50. The reason i like that one is that the Colts hold no fear for the Pats, in fact if anything, the Colts will be worried about us getting through :finger:

hah, might be worth a wee flutter that, I have been known to make a little on american sports before
-
$4.00 on the Colts to win...are the TAB insane!?
Time to cash in baby!!!
Like hell there's gonna start Curtis Painter after that fiasco + the Bills are nowhere as good as the Jets (injury prone, lackluster defence unlike the Jets, the best defense in the NFL....)
-
I got some money on the Patriots - paying $3.60! against Houston.
How the fuck did that happen? 21 unanswered points in the final quarter - just when i thought my money was safe. And it looks like Wes Welker is out of the playoffs. :(
-
$4.00 on the Colts to win...are the TAB insane!?
Guess not:
Colts lose to the Bills 7-30
Saints lose to Panthers 10-23
Vikings pulverise the Giants (you'd be happy there Devil)
More here http://www.nfl.com/scores
So the Wild Card round looks like this:
Jets Vs Bengals
Ravens Vs Patriots
Eagles Vs Cowboys
Packers Vs Cardinals
-
Eagles Vs Cowboys
Interesting rematch given that the Cowboys blanked them today. You don't want to give a side momentum like that.

Yeah well the Cowboys haven't won a playoff game since '96.
-
Yeah well the Cowboys haven't won a playoff game since '96.
Well I hope they do win this one. Eagles frequently seem to be able to topple the Saints with alarming frequency. I would rather someone knocked them out before they got through to try to topple them again :).
-
Well i hate the Cowboys, gogo Eagles.
-
Well i hate the Cowboys, gogo Eagles.
eagles got owned.... and jets beat bengals
meaning Vikes - Cowboys at Minnesota
AFC unclear depends on tomorrow
Winner of packers cards takes on saints
-
This is a little off topic but not too much.
I read this thread today and noticed you guys talking about the TAB and how their odds for American sports are a bit screwed sometimes. So I thought I might go check out what they had going for NHL games. Both Calgary and Detroit (go Redwings!) were paying about $2.50 to win. I thought that sounded a bit off, Calgary is only 2 places behind Vancouver (who were paying $1.30) and Detroit, even though they have been injury plagued so far this season and are sitting on about 12th, had some players returning. It turned out Calgary won 3-2 and Detroit won 4-1! $10 on each :)
So it seems like it definately pays to keep an eye on the odds, especially if you're an avid fan.
-
Wp by the Cowboys, i feel sorry for Mcnabb and Andy Reid though.
Oh well, time to hate on another team.
GOGO RAVENS SMASH THOSE PATRIOTS UP!!

GOGO RAVENS SMASH THOSE PATRIOTS UP!!
I can't believe they're not showing it on Sky. It's on now. I was playing golf yesterday so i missed the games, but i managed to see some of the Jets/Bengals game on the replay.

better hope they play better than that first quarter.....ravens 24-7 currently, was 24-0 after first quarter:sly:
-
24-7 at halftime. The Pats blew a great opportunity with 2:50 or so to go in the half. :(
-
Ray Rice had a field day againts the Pats and it dont see the Pats jobs getting any easier against SD
I watched the first 1/4 of the Arizona game and thought the cardinals were gonna run away with it
got back after a game of tennis to see Arizona missing a goal to leave the game at 45 all at full time
Cardinals defence was mean in overtime to get that turn over and the win

man that was a good game, tho naturally happy to see the packers lose they made an awesome comeback.
so next week
Vikings - Cowboys
Saints - Cardinals
Colts - Ravens
Chargers - Jets
Should be some good games, NFC games especially look pretty awesome.
-
Cards vs Pack's was intense! 1024 total scrimmage yards, HOTDAMN.
Btw, BL Tofu, time to jump the bandwagon.
-
Vikings - Cowboys
Saints - Cardinals
Colts - Ravens
Chargers - Jets
So then:
Go Vikings - (a little bit for your sake there Devil:))
Go Saints - Ch-Ch-Chang
The rest I am indifferent to.
-

I can't believe how shit Brady played - it was more what i would have expected from him in the rookie Superbowl appearance. To be fair, he got fuck all pass protection early on and i knew it was going to be a hard ask given the holes in the Pats defence, but we'll come back stronger next year.
Go the Ravens - its going to be a hard-ass revengefest against the Colts next week. I'm picking Ray Lewis is already practising on tackle dummies with Mannings face drawn on them. :rnr:

Pats were too beaten up, and not as good as the title years, esp secondary, theyll be back tho, theyre still pretty scary on offense
would like to see the ravens and chargers thru, saints and vikes on nfc side

Manning won MVP while Charles Woodson won Defensive Player of the Year.

Colts and Saints make it through to their respective divisional finals.
What annoys the hell out of me is ESPN show the colts game twice, but not the Saints. TV One news shows the results of te Colts game but don't even mention the Saints. It's blatant NFCism. Why does the AFC get all the publicity? And don't say "because all the good teams are in the AFC"....please. Even if it is the truth. I'm not sure I could handle it.

Cardiac arrest at 26, that is indeed pretty sad. Just shows how much stress those guys put on their bodies. I saw an interview with a football player from the 50's or 60's (can't remember which or who it was) but he could barely walk without being in pain because of the hammering his body took when he was playing. Not unusual apparently.

No, it all comes down to who has the rights to screen it. For instance, Fox had the rights to the NFC match, which is why it was shown on SS1 - because Murdoch owns Fox and Sky. And i saw the Saints result on TV1 News, but i don't remember seeing the Colts/Ravens result.

WHOO!
should be a good one in the superdome, AND i have the day off:D
-
I can't believe the Cowboys didn't put up more of a fight.
Romo is waaaaaaaaaaaay over-rated.
-
Vikings D-line is too good.
Jets are officially my second fav team now.
Revis Island, im so there.
-
I watched the Colts game live yesterday and one thing annoyed me more than anything.
The ocmmentators kept on about how great Manning is - and I agree, he's an excellent Q-back. But what won the COlts that game was their D. Keeping the Ravens to 3 was immense, especially as they averaged 25 points a game in the regular season.
Although the Ravens didn't help themselves with the amount of penalties they gave away. The worst being the multiple penalties at the end of the first half.
But yeah, that Colts D was immense - great against the pass, and really great against the rush.
-
Brett farve is the man
Vikings defense was sick. As for the chargers well they must be disappointed

Like so many sports its defence that wins matches. I hope Graham Henry learns that lesson before the next RWC.
All the years i've watched NFL the two "truths" that keep coming back is the teams that win:
have an excellent running game (which allows them to control the clock)
have great defence (which stops the opposition scoring points)

Maybe - but even he didn't play that great yesterday - no scores in the 2nd half other than the FG.
As mentioned, it was their D that won the game for them. And some awesome other plays - the one on the intercept where Garcon chased back and punched the ball out during the tackle was the play of the match IMO.

Didn't play great? Are you kidding me?
Name one QB apart from him, that could drive down and score a touchdown in 1:25 before the half.
Also its a known fact that the Colts D plays better when they are leading. When down, teams tend to pass the ball, this means Mathis and Freeney can rush off the end and cause pressure and turnovers for the Colts.
The Colts D played extremely well BECAUSE they were leading after halftime. And who lead the charge in scoring 14 points in 1:57 before the half? That's right, that man, the MVP.
-

He played well, but overall I didn't think he played great - just my opinion.
He was helped massively by the penalties the Ravens gave away - but yeah that was a good drive, I'll give you that :)

AFC championship final between the Colts and the Jets will be broadcast on ESPN at 09:00 (NZ Time) on Monday Morning.( Go Jets, but only because I am concerned the Colts will beat the Saints at the Superbowl).
NFC championship final between the Saints and the Vikings will be broadcast on Sky Sport 3 at 12:30 (NZ Time) on Monday afternoon - Go Saints (Obviously). Good thing I can work from home at times.
So, if you have the sky sports package that includes these channels, no excuses (Like I did recently :().

Yeah boi!!! COLTS all the way!

well the vikes blew it, so gutted right now
i want the saints to take it all now, but i cant watch the game now
-
Fuck the Saints.
Brett Farve threw it away, again...

Saints are going to be hard to stop with there offence
but if anyone can do it
COLTS can
Fuck i was hoping farve was gonna do it , just missed out aye
ratshit

First time to the Superbowl :rnr: :rnr: :rnr:
That was not an easy game to watch. The Saints really pounded Favre and to his credit, he did a lot better than many others would have done in similar circumstances. I am a little concerned that Manning is a freaking good QB. He can read a defense so well it's spooky.
I feel bad for you Devil, and had the result been reversed, I would have stood behind the Vikings as well. Peterson reminded me of the Auckland Warriors, one minute fantastic, the next your sitting there with your jaw on the ground going "WTF?".

Cant bring myself to hate the Saints, and as much as Favres throw was a bad throw in the situation, I just cant blame him fully for that loss, he took everything the Saints threw at him and got them into the place to begin with. Peterson, Harvin, Berrian all dropping balls killed, two in the Red Zone.
So tho you just know it will be oh Favre threw it away, hes shit, i actually think he did ok, on one leg that second half.
Be interesting to see if Brees and all can pick up the offense against the Colts, who arent the strongest defensive team, I actually thought they got dominated a bit on offense at times
An hour later, still gutted:(
Oh and yes VERY hard game to watch for both sets of fans. Some REAL bad calls made there too, one roughing the passer on Favre and the pass "interference" call that got the Saints in to field goal range especially
but it goes both ways and I dont wanna sound a bad loser;) Good luck Saints for the superbowl
-
and the pass "interference" call that got the Saints in to field goal range especially
Yeah, i though that was a shocker. I've seen lesser dives in soccer.
-

The TV just about got a foot through it then, was shall we say a tense moment.
I worry if the Vikes will get to this position anytime soon, need a QB after Favre, and some of the players are getting on. Sort of like the Chargers in the AFC, window could be closing
-
I just cant blame him fully for that loss, he took everything the Saints threw at him and got them into the place to begin with. Peterson, Harvin, Berrian all dropping balls killed, two in the Red Zone.
Agreed. He did very well under the circumstances and quite frankly, his protection was pretty poor. It's like a goal keeper in soccer being blamed for a 4-0 loss when he pulled off some great saves but was let down by the defenders. Having said that, Saints have always had a very good defense.
...and the pass "interference" call that got the Saints in to field goal range especially
I just watched the replay and I have to agree. That was a pretty tough call.
Good luck Saints for the superbowl
Thanks man.
-
Tuatara, im not offering the Saints any kind of support, encouragement or remorse when they lose.
And lose to the Colts they shall :sunnies:.
-
So who are all taking the day off for the Superbowl? There shall be a gathering at my flat with pizza and beer :D
-
Taking the first day off from my 6th form year for it _b
-

I shall offer the Saints all my support and encouragement and none to the Colts, nor will I show remorse if they lose to the Saints. In fact, I hope they :pyth: the Colts. (I've always wanted to find a way to use that smilie)
And thus the balance is maintained :D

funny they never got a sack, and vikes only got one. seemed noone could hold the ball in that game, as brees fumbled on that sack, and fumbled a snap too
regardless of bad calls, you cant turn it over five times
ah well always next year eh, hope we pick up the QB of the future in the draft as theres a few good QB's coming thru, DT's as well to replace Pat Williams
Tho i am not part of the WHO DAT nation now, i will be hoping they take it out:)
-
The fields will be filled with the blood of gold and black come Feb 8th.
-
Go the Saints. :rnr:
-
Courtney Roby seems to be the only Saint who came out to play.
Colts to win.
-
Colts to win.
Calling that one a little early. they may be the favourites, but we'll do our bit to make a game of it.
-
WHO DAT MANNING DAT.
-
Saints deserve the win
-
Score?
-
End of 1st quarter, 10-0 to the Colts.

DEFENSE
-
Come the fuck on Saints
-
Forth and One and Saints don't go for the field goal. Balsy move that may not have paid off, but didn't backfire either. Good game thus far and only four points in it at half time.
As an aside, I switch between Sky Sport 2 and ESPN (both showing the game) and what a difference there is. ESPN is not in HD whereas Sky Sport Two is. I only got my HD TV a couple of weeks ago, instantly upgraded to MySkyHDi and man I love it.:rnr:
-
WOW!!!
What a gutsy play! Onside kick to start 2nd half!!!
WOW!
-
Colts regain the lead just like that.
-
those with sky or streaming; update? :D
-
Colts regain the lead just like that.
Not now though!!
Although Manning just drives the Colts right up again. Awesome game.
-
...and we get the two pointer! WhooHoo!
-
YEAH BABY!!!
Interception.........GO SAINTS
That onside kick is looking more and more like the Play of the Superbowl!!
-
those with sky or streaming; update? :D
31-17 Saints
-
Huge play by Manning. They score here bets on anotehr onside kick?? Have to don't they?
-
Fucking eh.. go saints!
-
Man im gutted being a colts fan
but better team one and destiny was definitely with the Saints
GG
back next year colts !
-
And that's the game folks - incomplete on 4th and 2, they turn the ball over with 50 seconds left. SHort of using their 2 timeouts that's it as Saints only have to fall on the ball at snap time :rnr::rnr::rnr::rnr::rnr:.
Some great offence really - only one turnover all game!
-
fuck my life.
-
I am a very happy lad.
WhooH0o!!
-
I had to watch the last quarter updating on NFL.com - watched the end of the 2nd quarter and 3rd quarter at home. Was so shocked with the onside kick to start the 2nd half - amazing really. Loved the big bundle and how long it took the officials to sort it out!!
-
GG - well deserved Saints!
-

Yeah, as it turned out they were lucky enough to get the field goal a few plays later.

Because the ground cannot cause a fumble - i can't believe the commentators couldn't see that the ball only began to bobble once he hit the ground.
Well done Saints! They played the best game and made more gutsy decisions that ultimately paid off. The 4th/1 (though the Colts got a 4th/2), the onside kick for a touchdown drive and the eventual pressure on Manning that gave up the interception.

Well done Saints, deserved it in the end, what a big moment for the whole city really, good shit:)

Donovan McNabb now a redskin!!!

OMG yes now we just have to replace the rest of the team
-
I've just finished watching the Colts get eviscerated by the Chargers - what a game! The only thing i love watching more than the Colts losing is the Patriots winning. :P
-
It is always good to watch Peyton get dominated, but a win for the Lions would have been nice. Stupid Stafford always hurt.
-
I taped it, i watched it and i LOVED it!
-
patriots smashed the jets LOL

Philadelphia Eagles vs Dallas Cowboys, wicked game, DeSean Jacksons 91 yard touchdown was wicked!
Oh btw,

Haha
I know this is off topic but does anyone else hate ESPN's programming? They really need to play more damn football/basketball/baseball. Most of the stuff they play are talk shows and "ESPN films presents..." and "Pardon the interuption" who watches that crap?
-
Lolz the Viking Vs Giants is being played in Detroit. First time we've have a monday night game since 2001.

apparently the free tickets have been stopped, as there has been a huge responce to them, so could be a good crowd....
-
Also a Ford Field first.
-
I can't believe the odds that the TAB offers. I got $7.25 for the Vikings to win today's match against the Eagles! I know the Viks weren't playing that well, but there's no way that it was that lop-sided. Oh well, it was a nice little collect. :)

no NFL game should have those odds, ridiculous....
still, glad the vikings could help:) was stoked with the win
-
Ah, the playoffs. I'm surprised we haven't been inundated by Seahawks fans. :P
Well done to them, it would be great if they made the Superbowl.
-
Superbowl half-time:
21-10 Packers
-
Superbowl full-time score:
31 - 25 Packers.
-
Great game, thought the Steelers might pinch it.
Rodger stuffed them ;)
-
Mint game, the only bad thing about it was black eyed peas and christina agulera lol.
-
Cant believe i never saw this thread before.
What a comeback by the jets despite an anemic offence!
J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets
-
The TAB's at it again. I just got $4.15 on the Giants to beat the Eagles. Amazing odds when you consider the Eagles have got no run defence to speak of.

Those are good odds but Vick will be back for this game and i really have no faith in Eli "interceptions" Manning, look for Nnamdi to pick a couple off :)
-
Giants 29
Eagles 16
And i get another nice collect from the TAB. It's a shame i couldn't bring myself to back the Bills over the Pats - the closing odds were $3.60 but i'm sure they were $6-7 last night when i was checking.

I got a piece of that Bills action, very pleased with myself.
What a pathetic showing by the Jets, what the hell happened to our third in the league ground defense. You cant win games when you let Mcfadden run for 170 yards. Oh and fumbled kick returns, looked like a bunch of beer league players.
-
When you're on a roll, baby! I've got no idea who sets the odds at the TAB, but they had the Eagles as favourites to beat the Bills. Needless to say it was too good an opportunity to pass up and i had another nice little collect.
-
Hilarious! I don't know what it was but in the pre-game leadup between the Ravens and the Jaguars, i had a sense that the Jags could get up. So right at the kick-off i put some money on them. The funny thing was someone else must have had the same idea, because the initial odds were $4.75 but by the time i logged in they'd come in to $4.50. Still good money in anyone's language!
-
Phillies v Dallas, latest betting action. The Cowboys are paying $2.50, which i think is good value and i've jumped onboard. They are playing a lot better than their record suggests and have led a lot of games only to drop it right at the end. I don't think the Eagles are playing well enough to take this one.
-
I reckon the Warriors did pretty good this year.
-
I watched the story on ESPN before the game about how KC had helped out Joplin High School and got some money on them @ $2.35. The TAB is struggling to set odds for them now. ;)
-
What a game - certainly not the best in terms of quality, but one of the most compelling matches you'll see this year. I suggest you record or watch the replay!
-
Getting plus money on the Jets and the Bengals this week, those are the only lines that really jump out at me right now.
-
Hmm, i like the look of the Seahawks at $5.25. I know it's being played in Dallas but the Cowboys have found so many ways to lose games they should have won this season that i'm not sure they can even beat the lowly Hawks.
-

Good picks. Meanwhile, the Cowboys finally get the win. And i was looking at the Dolphins because i thought they couldn't keep losing - and they proved me right. If only i'd backed it up with some cash. :( Oh, did i tell you i hate the fucken Giants - i had a feeling they were going to beat the Pats.

Happens to me all the time, I over think the pick and end up not placing money on it. Nice pick on the fish, I couldnt bring myself to put money on a winless team.
I think the Rams are better than the lowly Browns and that the Lions will beat the Bears who are due for a let down after that big win over the Eagles.
Im all over the Giants this week too, with Frank Gore playing on one leg I dont think the 49ers will be able to run the ball like they need to to be effective. Alex smith is still Alex Smith.... I hope im right :/
-
Jets v Patriots - watch the replay, bitches!
-
Matthew Stafford and Rob Gronkowski screwed up my picks terribly.
Not a great one if im honest.
-
The Jets and Patriots always dish up a good game but listening to Chris Collinsworth it sounded like they got themselves too worked up during practice that week. I think it was an amazing insight into sport at the highest level - the Jets were all hyped up and the Patriots approached it like any other game.
-
CARDINALS.
That is all.
-
Buffalo and Oakland are my only plays this week.
-
The Eagles @ $2.70 stand out for me. Sure, the Giants beat the Patriots but they have their number. I haven't seen anything special from them this season, whereas the Eagles seem to have fixed up their run defence and have threats all over the park. Vick is starting to look very dangerous. The Bengals are a value bet @ $3.40 against the Ravens, imo. I agree that Buffalo are good odds against the fish.

I cant see why Buffalo is an underdog, Miami is terrible at home.... and in general.
The Bengals are a good pick, you just never know which Ravens team is going to show up though, the one that beat the Steelers twice or the one that lost to the Seahawks. Also, the Bengals are missing A.J Green which takes away their number one deep threat.
The Eagles were in a tough spot last week against the Cards with Kolb being able to recognize most of their plays and I am still amazed that the Giants have managed to win this many games. I like that pick.
Edit: Looks like Vick wont be starting, rib injury so it might be Kafka which doesn't really fill me with confidence.
-
Apparently Ray Lewis isn't starting for the Ravens, which will take a lot of their passion out if he's sidelined. He's always the one geeing the team up, but it won't be the same if he's not playing himself. If Vick is out that changes the Eagles slightly, but i'd still take them - i think the Jets are flattering to deceive. Bengals - yeah, i can't figure those odds. Good win by the Broncos last night too!
-
Nice Eagles pick but hard luck with the Bengals, they were a bit robbed by that no TD call.
Oh and fuck the Broncos, although we tried our hardest to loose that game and we eventually succeeded in doing so.
And what the hell happened to the Bills and the team that started 4-0?
-
The Bengals were unlucky alright. I know they lost but the scoreline showed they were good value at $3.40. Ah well, made up for it with the Eagles, but i sweated all the way to the end. :) I'm glad i didn't get to watch the Pats until after i knew the result - they were AWFUL in the first half.
-
nom nom nom
2 games until the super bowl.
-
already? fuck it seems like the last one happened only 2 months ago
-
I know. Should be good.
Kind of want to see the Ravens win it. But I don't think they'll beat the Patriots, and the Patriots will probably win XLVI
-
I dunno, I still reckon the Warriors could take it.

I concur.

Ravens up at half-time.
Can they do it...
-
YES THEY CAN
-
Yeh so I didn't want to know who won as I was going to watch it later. Then I went on twitter :(
Aw well should still be a good watch.
-
Yeah, looks like it was a game of two halves. The last few minutes were a little nail biting.
