In my not so humble opinion, Playtech and it's owners greed are the reason we no longer have XLAN, and why things went to shit with ON3.

I was just curious as to whether he held the IP rights beforehand or simply registered late last year to force a shutdown. Stink one either way, although I don't know the full story.

So yeah. Getosome/NZ BF4 servers would be lovely I'm sure, but the game is still basically unplayable for many people.

Speakman: I suspect we'll never known given the way noone who's in a position to know is talking. I've heard mutterings but absolute hearsay that it's basically all fallout from XLAN. I've heard that XLAN wasn't the large profit making venture Paul thought it would be. I've heard mutterings that there was a fallout between Playtech & Arsey (unsure if/how related), and I believe Arsey is a former employee of Playtech, again unsure how interrelated those things maybe.

Daddyclin: Just checked, get that from home too. My work IP is a tertiary provider so perhaps whitelisted. Unsure.

Yeah that is pretty shitty. We have an autobalance on our server that scans for balance beginning, middle and end. It won't auto balance after the mid point scan (nor will it touch the player agin for 90 mins).

Strictly speaking, that shouldn't happen on our server as it's told not to.

In saying that, ours only rebalances the shitty players ;) it's been told to leave the good players alone.

A lot of the bugs went away when I did a fresh gfx driver install and updated bios (of all things) I've never experienced such a dramatic change in stability just by doing those two things.

Sounds good, i was top of the scoreboard when it happened which plays a part in the annoyance.
