Yeah felt like surfing. 12 floors up at work in the CBD.

Parents in the Wairarapa got it nicely. Phone lines are cut around the family farm. Dad had to call me on the Satphone.

Best one I have felt here in PN.
Holding onto PC screens while the shelves started shedding old PC games.
Seems big bathroom mirror wasn't fixed to wall although daughters yardie survived a 5ft fall to the floor

I'm wondering if/hoping we'll be working from home tomorrow. My laptop is at work.

Wasn't to bad out in Miramar @ work. Thought it was people running on the floor above me at first.

Parents said is was pretty bad in Masterton.

Was quite a bit shock in Palmy. Eke is north of masterton. I have a mate that lives about 10km from the epicentre said it was the biggest one hes ever felt. Was in the square in Palmy and see all the shop windows move was quite a sight.

Get Some opens, earthquake strikes. Coincidence? I don't think.

Also, quick everybody tell their harrowing tale about how they were going about their daily life when something exciting happened.

In about 36 hours you'll be so sick of everybody talking about where they were and what they were doing and how they spilled milk all over themselves, and how the windows moved, and they saw trees moving and compare themselves to christchurch.

Pretty soon someone will post the plastic picnic chair with the "WE WILL REBUILD" text and get 15 likes on facebook

Yeah, I'm always a bit weary when I talk about that REALLY BIG QUAKE thinking about some of the trials some of you have had and are having.

Yes, in particular a woman on the radio (I hate radio - out dated commercialised fuckwits on a pedestal) was being interviewed by 2 fuckwits, when they asked her how the earthquake was for her she claimed it was very 'shakey'

OH COURSE IT WAS FUCKING SHAKY, IT WAS A FUCKING EARTHQUAKE!

Modify:

I'm waiting for the news item tonight about the elderly couple or the young family who moved to Eketahuna to get away from the Christchurch earthquakes....fuckwits, you have to move to mars to get away from earthquakes!

I would have loved to see that. You down on your knees, hands sticky, scrambling to clean up as you get battered about by nature. Yeah.
