Bugger them aye?
You're doing it wrong. Sounds like you'd rather have a slave and a boyfriend.

Go on Spork, it's o.k. in this day and age.

A couple of questions Philo in regards to those builds:

Why the Seagate 500GB over the faster Samsung F3? Also I'm more than sure people can spare an extra $20 for a 1TB.....

The Antec Neo Eco 620W is a good bit cheaper than the Antec HCG 620W while both are extremely similar. The saving on the PSU negates the extra for 1TB, resulting in a better value system.

Blah, so I'm hooked on photography, like so many nerds. It's like a natural progression from console -> PC -> cameras or hifi.

This could be very expensive.

you chose photography over hifi...

tsk tsk. i r dissapoint.

I posted this in the quake thread but more people go in this one so I'll repost:

Anyway, if there's anyone is genuine need because of the quake, The Hub Hornby are giving away mall vouchers to help them. They can spend it on whatever they like there. Please PM me with their address and contact details and I will forward them to my sister at Mall management. Includes you Ngati! I'm sure you'll appreciate them and know people who need them right now.

Tiwa, show those believers this:

http://www.drquigs.com

That is Dr Mark Quigley's website, the latest post includes a through debunk of that scum Ring. Remember, tell them that of course Dr Quigley is the same geologist they have seen on TV explaining the science of it. A very good debunk. Please show them and force them to read it.

Great album. Not just 'bass in your face' but actual musical composition. Far from 'flithy' club music. To say that the basslines on this album are comparable to the 'WUB WUB' dubstep and 'filthy club music' is a total total insult to this album. The Kraftwerk samples and influence is apparent in this album.

Christmas isn't a farce but more like the English language is the bastard child of many languages, it's a bastard child of many cultural celebrations. It's a Western culture tradition as opposed to anything Christian now. Both have their main roots, English mainly composed of Old French (which in turn from Latin) whilst most of the traditions of Christmas come from the old Roman celebration of Saturnalia.

4.9

http://www.geonet.org.nz/earthquake/quakes/3437105g-maps.html

that's not very far away from my house D:

more accurate here (Geonet rounded off the minutes thus you have a margin of error of 1.64 sq. km):

http://quake.crowe.co.nz/QuakeMap/Single/?index=0

Using 6 decimals places to represent the minutes = margin of error of 11.12 cm latitude and and 8.06 cm longitude ;)
i.e. the point on Google Maps is much more inaccurate.

WTF is wrong with this thread...no Burial, no Vex'd, no Boxcutter >.<

Complex dubstep away from the mindless long decay WUB WUBs that dominates and tbh ruins the entire track.
Hate the wub-wub stereotype of dubstep, both from haters and lovers of it alike.

(Ok, Boxcutter's really multiple electronic subgenres depending on track but this track leans towards dubstep more)

Useless stuff you learnt today:

basic sound acoustics

http://bit.ly/e4v4Os

yeah boi. Can't stress the importance of reverb time and room acoustics to what you hear ;)
Got a whole bunch of the dude's lecture slides. Interesting stuff :)

If you DL music from itunes, is it only playable through itunes?

no. AAC is the current adopted standard in the MPEG container. Nothing to do with Apple. Apple just popularised it (a good thing they did). .m4a, .acc = the same thing, different file extension. AAC is a much better codec in technical terms than mp3.

If you download music from itunes is it just mp3 or what ever? Or is there higher quality versions as well?

If you writes English is there higher quality versions as well?

I would say that it is either mp3, though 'what ever' is my favourite format.

CK will be along presently, once he's taken his hand off it after thinking of Taylor Swift and mopping up the counter at the best little eatery that side of Hornby Mall.

:P

well, you're closer to going into a retirement home than me so..... ;)

Anyway Spork, ~256kbps AAC = very good quality, better than 320 kbps CBR / vbr -v0 mp3. iTunes software music player = ewwwwwwww. iTunes music store = quite good tbh.

you been in the shop Ngati? Also a Newt Gingrich avatar cuz......
