IE10 is released.

"Perfect for touch"
So, hitting it when it doesn't work.. that's a form of touching isn't it?
-
I was about to say that I've had IE10 for weeks now... but I was on the Pre-Release version.
It's still balls; Slightly less hairy than before, but balls nonetheless.
-
Still better then Firefox.
-
Based on the pedigree my guess is it will meet my expectations and be just as shit as its predecessors!
Chrome all the way for me, just wish they had Down them all available as a plugin :(
-

What is so shit about it?
-
Why does it need to run so many processes? why does it use so much cpu and RAM when compared to better performing browsers? why is it slow to launch? why does it even bother to have suggested sites? (actually I would be interested to know if anyone has ever used this feature besides me. I only used it to discover that it will suggest sites based on what you search for.....which for me anyway, I get the sites I am searching for via the search engine not the suggestions!)
I am forced to use IE at work and it does my fucking head in :(
Maybe 10 will be different? But I doubt it.
-
Why does it need to run so many processes like Chrome?
Why does it use so much cpu and RAM like Firefox?
Launches fast as for me.
-
It runs so many processes, like Chrome, to Sandbox different parts of the browser, such as Flash, Tabs, Java... This is an awesome security feature and should NEVER be criticised.
I often have 50+ chrome processes running on my PC. It's a fact of life, I'm used to it.
CPU and RAM increases come with new software. You can assume, as a trend, that the general population is increasing the specifications of the PC's. 4GB is the norm now, what's 300-500MB for an application, really? CPU, eh it's hard to measure that one accurately because there's such a large number of variations.
Also SM: I agree, FF is much worse :P They joys of being a WebDev, I have Safari, FF, Opera, Chrome and IE installed xD Day to day is Chrome, and a guilty pleasure of mine is Opera (but ssshhhh)
-
Lol is it even web compliant yet?
Xeno: You disgusting horrible person, opera, really
-
Still better then Firefox.
BLASPHEMY!!!!!

Microsoft need to ditch the Internet Explorer brand, seriously.
Its so permanently damaged in my mind that I dont even want to try IE10.
What version did I get with Windows 8 a month ago? Whatever it is, its shithouse.

IE, downloading better browsers like never before.
-
On that note. Chrome has some weird Metro style context menu's now.
Fucking odd.
-
OMG, fucking finally.
Though I bet it's JS engine is still crap.
ps. Chrome is rubbish. Nice, but rubbish.
pps. Also use Opera. It's not bad at all, quit your bitch'n codex :P
Also, at next major release it will use the Chromium branch of webkit and V8 JS engine. So you won't even be able to hold presto against it (which is still fine anyway).
-
Using Chromium in Ubuntu atm. Nice. Runs well.
IE can suck my dick. The retarded brother no one wants to talk to at dinner.
-
I used the 64-bit nightly release of Firefox before they killed it because of ABP. Opera uses less mobile data but Chrome syncs browsing history, sessions, bookmarks etc

http://www.dailyfinance.com/on/european-union-commission-microsoft-fine-browser/
European regulators have fined Microsoft (MSFT) $733 million for failing to give users of its Windows system a choice of Internet browsers. The company had settled an antitrust dispute four years ago by saying it would offer alternatives to its Internet Explorer - but failed to do so for more than a year.
-
Microsoft probably spends $733 million on toilet paper a year.
-
This is bullshit.
I am outraged.

What, again?
Didn't that happen in 1998?
-
I too prefer Opera, has amazeballs js engine and dragonfly is handy for testing shit, but for some reason it just doesn't like the GetSome forums, does weird reloading and other crap so use chrome for GetSome.
-
Actually, Presto's JS engine is the worst performing last I read.
Still, I like Opera.
Dragonfly is good, but very heavy :< Truth be told there is no single dev tool out there I like over the others (firebug/firefox builtin/webkit dev tools/dragonfly).
Also, GetSome JS is naff.

You're a bit behind the times there Tiwa...
MS product placement all through a bunch of TV shows now.
Been doing it in every single Episode of Hawaii five-0 since the second season began.
-
Tiwa, That's not even a MS Surface, It's an acer.
-
MS sponsors production.
That's how folks advertise these days.
Both good and bad. Good because it's adaption, since everyone downloads it and thus doesn't watch ads. Studios finally thinking about keeping up with the times rather than chasing down stupid 'pirates'.
-
Still, I like Opera.

Microsoft’s Skydrive website kills Opera browsers by sending 2 million NULL characters to visitors
A curious oversight in the source code of Microsoft’s Skydrive website is making the service almost unusable for users of Opera’s desktop browsers, after it was revealed that the code includes over 2 million NULL characters, causing it to hang and use 100 percent CPU resources.
The issue, explained on the blog of Opera Core Quality Assurance software tester Hallvord R. M. Steen, is caused by a “strange bug in the Microsoft backend [that] sends a load of unexpected NULL characters,” causing issues with Opera browsers at the software tries to interpret them.
According to StatCounter, Opera only holds a 1.63 percent share of the worldwide browser market, so the issue will be limited to only a select number of users. Opera’s strengths lie in its mobile software, where it has more than 200 million active mobile users.

hahahahahahaahha those numbers.
GOD WHAT.
List a percentage to make it seem small.
Use a fixed number to make it seem large. Probably still a small percentage considering all iphones use safari and all androids use another type of webkit by default.
