PLEASE MAKE SURE DEMO'S ARE 2-5 MINUTES IN LENGTH, SHOWING AS MUCH OF THE ROUND AS POSSIBLE.
1. Open console
2. Type "record <filename>". Filename can be anything you want. From "RDM1" to "MilkanTakingThePiss"
3. Type "status". Very important. This prints a log of the steam id's and users into console, Anyone can do this, and it allows you to ban the right person, not someone copying a regulars name.
4. When you feel you have sufficient evidence, type "stop" into console.
The .dem file will be located somewhere in your GMOD folder.
D:\GAMES\Steam\steamapps\<steamname>\garrysmod\garrysmod
Also to help alleviate wasting peoples / my time, Stop every 5 minutes (maximum) and then start recording again, but as "RDM2" or "MilkanStillTakingThePiss". Again, Remember to type "status" after you start recording.
Now winrar, winzip, 7zip then upload or burn the demo(s) to a CD and mail to GetSome offices.
To (re)play a demo, Make sure the file is in your GMOD folder (If you just recorded it, you obviously don't need to worry.)
1. Go to the main menu of GMOD (You'll just disconnect from a server otherwise)
2. Open console
3. Type "playdemo <filename>"
4. To stop it, type "stopdemo"
And if you can't be arsed doing all that, at least, give me a good time and how many rounds are left when the rdm STARTED happening, and if that was some time ago, then what ever the round is currently.
Although some of you are regulars and I'd trust you to know what is and isn't RDM, giving me a steam ID while i'm asleep saying "Ban this guy he rdmed me!".. I can't do anything with that. I WON'T do anything with that.
Because..
1. It's your friend and you are playing a joke on him.
2. This "mass rdmer" who is "massacring" the server as we speak!!!!, is really a guy that killed you once and maybe accidently rdmed another. We all know you deserved to be shot then.
I am NOT going to waste time looking through rounds and rounds of logs for a guy that rdm'd you, only to find that he killed one person and then some form of a shit-storm happened, meanwhile the whole server is crying because I haven't been doing reports or even moving for the past 10 minutes.
Post demos in this thread, either by direct upload or via a www.mega.co.nz (http://www.mega.co.nz) link.

Marsh, you need to go to your Gmod files get the demo file then upload it here, so when you do the recording make sure you capture evidence and type status into console.
Once you have enough evidence recorded, Upload it to this thread as Kayne said above and Kayne will look into it.

Hooray I'm so very happy. After hours of testing and trying and annoying kayne i finally managed to get a set recordings.
So anyway there's this guy called astrohol who is a regular on the server, he's just on when admins aren't on.. he always rdms and I've managed to get a few recordings of him rdming :) HOORAY. So the annoying thing though is everyone rdms him back so I had to take about a map off of playing time just to get a few good recordings of his rdmingess
Here we go: (My computer can't view these files cause it's bad so I think the first one (astrohol 3 is the list of all the people he killed as a d) so yeah i might give you bad ones)
The ones named general are also ones of astrohol i was just basing them off a guy called general something who was also rdming but he left.

Sorry bout the bad ones, there should be 2 videos with him rdming at least thrice and 2 or 3 with maybe 2 rdms but as i said everyone kept killing him before the rdms got too serious. With the list he was detective and killed 5-6 people though i didnt see it happen but you know I think killing maybe 2 other detectives is proof enough.

Advise for next time - Pretend you're afk - don't let them know you're recording, and be sure to type status in EVERY demo

Ok so I'm back with 3 new reports :)
So these three guys were all metagaming but not simultaneously... On minecraft a guy called dr fetus or something metagamed with AVA Pussy camping under the tower mass rdming. This case is not too strong as I was only there for two rounds and in that time nothing much happened. Anyway after that On dolls Justhenry joined and metagamed with ava pussy after fetus left.

Just a general heads up for everyone, just because nobody replies or acknowledges your post doesn't mean we don't actually look at them/ban the player.
We do appreciate the fact you spend the time making/uploading demos and if the resulting player is banned we will give you a heads up and a thank-you.
The reason I am posting this is because I had a look at this thread and it appears nothing is done when you guys post, that is not the case.
Quite right. At the moment, I'm ensuring all mods are able to ban with demos without a single thread of doubt, so all bans via demos go through me. In future, mods will be trusted to just go crazy and ban hammer anyone - When we get to that stage, mods will probably start posting in this thread when they ban someone.

Nichwilde was on and he rdmd a bit then nich left and then he mass rdmd 1 round and then his damage went down and he couldnt do shit on the second
