Such win. We get attacked and spawn back in our freshly minted 4x4 box with a metal door. six or seven Attackers come back and tell us if we give them our boots, they will let us live. OK, open door. Shotgun attack, damn pricks. I get out and commence the rock assault. One guy runs in, swindle closes the door on him. Hahah. Imprisoned the arsehole and the only way in or out is death. Keep playing for 13 hours straight.

I was wondering how that would go Growler as I'm very sad how the Beta is running for me at the moment. And somehow playing BF3 isn't the same anymore. I know I am hoping for a miracle by going to win8, but I have read that it does run it better.
I get 20-30 on medium
I have Q6600 @2.9 and GtX460 SLi The beta isn't really a good measure of performance right now. My system runs BF3 on high @ 120fps but BF4 is almost unplayable at any setting. Drop the resolution and put everything on low until release then wait and see.

win 8 = dx 11.1/2 which 7 wont support.
Also I should mention those results were achieved installing 8 over the top as an upgrade keeping all setting apps etc so not a CLEAN install as such There's no way I'm downgrading to windohs 8, let alone paying money for it. Dice just needs to get their shit together.

based on the beta so far this is the first BF game i'm seriously considering not purchasing however i expect my attitude to shift when a decent map is released What is wrong with the map? I really like it. I think it's different to any map I have ever played. The altitude of the buildings gives it a vertical element that I have not experienced. Jumping off the roof and sailing in behind a target makes me feel like batman. I also like flying in and around the buildings. It's a little easily roof camped but it's fun getting a chopper up there to send them back to earth.
