up to 40 at night.

Its enabled for PVP, havent really been out hardcore pvping, but have messed with some dinos and given some vengeance.

:) sweet sounds good. I guess as the server expands PvP will become more relevant.

Seriously, I love this game so much. I've found that I'm walking more, taking varying routes home from work, socialising and meeting new peps (the CHCH EN are really social, weekly beers minimum, chuck in a few BBQs every now and then)
We just had a cross faction dinner in palmy on Friday night. Went to Mongolian all you can eat. Was an awesome night had about 25 of us.

Possibly not.

It's a Google app I believe.

Because you apparently get paid loads, you can just pick up a cheap Android unit to use as an Ingress phone.

Nothing wrong with Palmy Viva La Resistance! BTW whats your agent name?
Where do you find out about the local groups dude? Is there an NZ site of any sort?
Arsey everyone uses google plus for the community side of things. Try https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/105613232238865900219 for the NZ cross faction community, introduce yourself im sure someone will get in touch with you. If your resistance I can point you in the right direction.

No, I said local support (which it has out of both Aus and NZ), and dedicated servers (just the location of those servers is the issue...).

I am actively talking to the EA guys about this, and the local NZ disty as well. The good news is at least that the problem will be a giant one for Australia as well given the cable connection to Singapore is via Western Australia, so the ping time let alone the performance for anyone on the Eastern Border of Aus will be a giant clusterfuck. Of course, that just means it will be an even more giant, shall we say, titanic clusterfuck for us...
Yeah sorry that should say "At Launch".

Titanfall, the mech-based multiplayer game from Respawn Entertainment, will feature dedicated servers and local support for Australian players, the company’s community manager confirmed with games.on.net at E3 today.
taken from http://games.on.net/2013/06/titanfall-confirms-dedicated-servers-local-australian-support-read-our-e3-impressions/ so depends how you interperet that sentance whether its dedi server and local support in aus or the has dedicated servers, oh and there will be local support in Australia.... looking into this now.

I can tell you now Gliss, it's local support, and dedicated servers.

The server hosting is as has already been discussed, and EA is localised in Aus for Aus/NZ - we now have a disty only in NZ, but fortunately it's the same guys who work for that disty that worked for EA when they had local support here. Either way, we'll be damned sure we're close to the source of any goings on through our Get Some contacts  8)

Nice Arsey. My Hype rating is over 9000!!!!..... (best not let me down:)) but good to know. I had every confidence they would have at least Aussie servers but thanks for the confirmation.
Just had a meeting with the EA guys. The beta will be 100% open. No need to order if you don't want to - they have confidence and a lot of money behind this game. It's going to be a CoD killer they're predicting.

*crosses fingers*............ again...........

I hope it is the weekend of the 14th, wife is away so game on all weekend.

Pre-ordering through origin will definitely get you a key. Getting it through a 3rd party key sight maybe not. You will need to check with them.

Locations of MS Windows Azure services (I'm guessing this is where XBL Cloud services are) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Azure#Datacenter So looks like they are in Sydney and Melbourne (It does mention that they are annouced, so hope they are up soon, if not already). Considering most ping for us to there is about 40ms it shouldn't be to bad. Although of course having NZ services would be optimal I don't see it being a deal breaker.

are the system requirements out?

Not announced as yet. Game Debate predicts game requirements when they're not out, and they say decent dual core with 4GB of RAM and a recent GPU (AMD 6000 series).

Sounds like new GFX card time. 2 x 5850's just isn't cutting it anymore.

It sounds like the graphics engine is based off a modified source engine so I would say 2 x 5850s should run it fine. But best to wait to see what the actual requirements will be.

Being developed from ex IW people that left because they didn't like the way cod was going (aside from those being fired) I would hope we have some footage/beta test on Pc. Being only 2months away and we are only seeing alpha demo's now I'm hoping internally they are well within the beta development (although the alpha is looking pretty sweet). I guess time will tell and I hope we learn more about the server side of things soon. This game is really the only thing keeping me going for pc fps gaming so trying not to get my hopes up to much.
