That's a killer looking case. Can't wait for photos.

nice thing about the case is you can lay it on any of three sides so you can have it with the window upwards which appeals to me :)

Not exactly a small m-itx case? lol kinda like my prodigy build. Atleast cable management be easy as mofo :)

Still a smaller lanable case which is ideal, I did toy matx ideas but actually prefered the mitx board with built in WiFi.

I also wanted ability to do a custom watercooling loop later for the 980 and cpu if I wanted.

At the moment I am going to use the extra space to store my 2tb drive collection and slowly swap them out for 4tb drives to make it a true man and fileshare box.

Tempted by this itx case..  Might still ring cl and change case

That Corsair was my second choice if I couldn't get the M1. It has good reviews.

However, the front panel is a bit of a hit and miss with manufacturing quality. Not as sharp and clean cut as what the marketing images make it out to be.

Bugger the 800d was my monster case for my last build and it was great.

Just read a few reviews see what you mean also bit worried about room as top rad mount is awfully close to mobo capicotors and couple of reviewers had clearance issues.

Tbh thinking the 240 although bigger might be the better bet especially at price point.

It's a fucking shame that Silverstone have actually trademarked the vertical design in their FT03 cases. So many other manufacturers could have adapted this layout as the vertical placement of components allows for better airflow.

Fuck you Silverstone.

I'd stick with the Corsair.

I had an ft02 back in the day and really like the ft03 but not at the price and I know mates who have issues with the magnetic covers and slide together panels.

I can decide on 240 or 250d.

I pulled trigger on 240 so may just stick with that and keep the extra room for extra stuff usefull at lans.

Although 240 no 5.25 drives at all but tbh probably wouldn't want them anyway.

Little Pissed off now with CL.

They listed the 980ti SC edition the day after i ordered my 980ti std edition for less and reduced the std edition by $25.

even though i asked when and what price the SC edition would be and when it would be available.

good thing the courier hasnt turned up yet, i'll be sending it straight back and asking for an SC edition.

Edit:  TWATS  wont let me send it back because oh hey its your fault for not knowing what was coming up and its invoiced now we cant change it...

Why not this for a small build, built in water, faster & cheaper.

http://www.forbes.com/sites/jasonevangelho/2015/06/18/amd-radeon-fury-x-benchmarks-full-specs-new-fiji-graphics-card-beats-nvidias-980-ti/ (http://www.forbes.com/sites/jasonevangelho/2015/06/18/amd-radeon-fury-x-benchmarks-full-specs-new-fiji-graphics-card-beats-nvidias-980-ti/)

faster is tongue in cheek really, but bang for buck it reads pretty impressive, and with the new HBM with the smaller form factor, seems like a win win!

Because I loath and and their shit and buggy drivers .. Tbh I been bitten too many times plus I don't want to wait and nvidia seem more solid for 4k with the ram etc.

Maybe next gen round I might.

I never understood people and driver issues.... I used both camps, I use beta drivers... Never an issue.

Admittedly if you are doing SLI etc things go south quick.

4k gaming though, isn't that even more reason to look at the new Fury with HBM, the ram on it is like twice the throughput of the 980ti? Lots of memory is no use if you can shoot shit through it fast enough and ain't that the bottleneck in UHD+ setups now?

AMD drivers have been fine for a good many years now.

either which way i am happy with the 980ti,, just not CL service..their once good name is turning to shite, they used to be fantastic almost to bending over to help..  i asked if there was any price reductions or sales or SC in next few days on friday and was told no.. thats why i am pissed.

RII has had same experience..  TBH i am ordereing a second lot of ram from playtech.

as far as AMD vs Nvidia... the games i want to play at the moment or Nvidia optimised, i might go AMD when the Fury X2 comes out as a dual gpu single card or the 8gb models come to market.

till then i can push a 100mhz oc on the ti and get close to a titans acores which is what the fury x is designed to take on.. tbh until i see solid benchmarks from reputable testers i dont think amd have this sewn up yet.

HBM will be epic though one we see SOC chips from AMD they will be a killer in the HTPC and lan rig space.

AMD drivers have been fine for a good many years now.

BS...   look at 15.20  which amd held back specifically for the #x series launch which suddenly low and behold allows the 2x series a massive boost.

withheld driver so they could make the 3x rebrands seems better than the 2x series.

sorry been bitten with the 6970 series and 7970 series not going to get excited and be biten again.

Nvidia this time round for me.

I'd never be able to fit the Fury's in my mITX case - with their dedicated rad. Look awesome though. My 970GTX Turbo should show up tomorrow.

when is next gen cpu due out, I want to make a smaller rig, but see little point upping from 2500k + 280x for such marginal gains.

400 is not the price diff

fury x = 1100nzd approc  my 980ti is 1249 for SC version

this is the problem with nz  the margins byt the time they get to us are not worth amd...

amd is talking late q4 or early q1 next year for full SOC

He's talking CPU not GPU.

Skylake is expected to be released at the start of August, give it a month or two to arrive in NZ with non insane pricing.
