Ah yes, I heard about this a while ago, where it captures all of the light so you can change the focal plane later on, or something like that. Seems rather interesting, would love to have a play round with one to see what it can really do.

no moreso you take one photo and then focus on different things / ability to greate 3d or stereoscopic images.
you could have a subject really sharp background blurry and then the face of somebody else in the foreground really in focus as well.
you also have the ability to tilithshift and change the viewing angle.

It's neat how it handles it, don't get me wrong. But it's just a camera that lets you focus after the photo is taken instead of before.
Not really worth $400USD if you ask me :s

the idea behind it is what sony is aiming to do with its new dslr range and lenses...
basically turning dsl into a foolproof point and shoot / cant fuck it up camera...
