Fallout 4 is confirmed.
Have done some snooping in the website source code and found the words fallout4 and pre-order buttons for PC, Xbox one, Xbox 360, PS 4 and 3.

Fallout 3 was shit. It was just a mod for Oblivion.
Found it boring with a weak as fuck narrative.
Bethesda blows chunks and are the kings of hype.

Fallout 3 was a decent open world game, but it never really felt like Fallout to me. New Vegas was a lot better in that regards, but that was done by Obsidian so I'm going to keep my hype in check until I can see if 4 will be more like 3 or New Vegas.

I presume it would be closer to Vegas than fallout 3. Still I might wait for a promotion sale or something because I think $100 is a bit steep

So, ton of news from E3 for Fallout 4.
- Out in November.
- Story starts just before the war starts, enter a vault at the start of the game.
- Protagonist has a voice.
- Will be able to build bases with customised buildings. Build structures and defenses around the bases.
- Weapons and armour have a ton of customisation options.
- Collectors Edition with Pipboy that runs a Pipboy ap. Ap also available on mobile when the game comes out and connects to game.
- Fallout mobile game where you build vaults which is already out, but only for iPhone at the moment.
Plus there was some good vision of gameplay. Fuck it, I'm hyped now.

Will be holding off on this now, due to reviews.
Story is at odds with gameplay and dated graphics. I'm not a Fallout fan so I'm probably a little harder to impress.

It will be interesting to see if Bethesda delivers, I have high hopes- especially when mods start to drop

The usual shitty UI is still there, along with typical bugs that come with Bethesda releases.

A lot of the negative reviews are from people who cant get the game running properly (bug or problem on their end) and people who are not impressed with the games first impressions. I had both with fo3 and fucking hated the start in the vault but then it grew on me.

Hah, sorry, but blaming the end user for game bugs is a giant cop-out.

What I mean is that the producer cant test on all computers so a small percentage will have bugs that are to do with their machines. ie the Nvidia graphics problems for fo3 where some cards would just black screen the game. After a little tweaking and investigating these consumer side bugs can be fixed. It shouldn't be grounds for leaving a negative review or just hating the game in general. Yup sounds week but that's just my view of the whole thing.

Bethesda UI's are a fucking joke. Looks like FO4's UI is just as filthy as expected. Game breaking bugs due to lazy development. Game has been moved to my "buy when 80% off" list.

I guess im lucky not to have any of his problems but I do agree with you. Bethesda could have done better with things including ui but there will the same modding community that will do all the work Bethesda should have done.
