in the web management page there is under wan or ATM  options for disconnects and errors etc.
Clear these and come back and check when it disconnects.

Take a screen shot or errors and then log a support call...chorus will action and you can send them detailed error types and counts based on the web pages.

This does help.

Cheers

java is painful and the newer versions now expire as well...forcing you to update....for security reasons, so watch out if you are installing new versions

Unfortunately many 3rd party vendors including cisco require certain versions of Java to run the GUI's to admin their devices...for exmaple cisco PIX and cisco ASA.

you update the version of java the PIX admin tool uses and you wont be able to get in....

its not new that java is the big threat..it has been for ages.

Cisco make some truly truly shite software. Had to package Cisco Configuration Professional recently.. jesus wept at having to build Auto-IT scripts to install software from a major vendor like Cisco.

I swear app packaging makes me nearly as grumpy as Helldesk did many years ago when your constantly bombarded with poorly written apps.

aaarrggh...Autoit...when everything else has failed....used Autoit to script Orcale financila Apps for a large coampany...so funny watching mouse move around screen...lol

Dove in CHCH are good and are a supplier to DRagon PC.

Dove have good people onsite and no issues when I have returned stuff (sad---returned my sapphire 290x)

Cheers

ok..

The Switch downstairs where the most PC"s are I assume do most traffic...A switch will keep all traffic downstairs that does not need to go to other devices or the web....so less traffic on your link between upstairs and downstairs....presently if I understand correctly all traffic is traversing the link so intra pc comms must go upstairs and back down....not good practise .

Just my thoughts.
We can talk later if you want and I can help when next on mumble.

Hi LIAS,

The evidence is skewed if from one cloud vendor.

This is because this cloud vendor might have 2000 drives in total and 75% are seagate.....I am not defending them but using one cloud vendor as a gauge is not good practise.

We dont know how they are using said drives either and they wont release that info as its sensitive.

I would take more more global stats which are based on warranty returns to the manufacturer or returns in general.

As I said Earlier...even as home users...and even if you have no idea should ask friends as we all do what HDD should I buy based on doing this.....I think most people look at the size and price rather than what they are actually going to do.

I hope this helps some folks think a bit more about HDD same as we do when we buy GPU or CPU's.

HDD are just as important.

you are right is some sense my views are skewed as I work in this space......and sata will be fine for a lot of people just dont forget about the other stuff and what you are going to be doing with the tech....this is most important.
