I'll update this thread if anything happens that I can foresee.
Updating Punkbuster and new server patch ETA 15~ mins

Implementing new server patch R6
Changes
- Fix for crashes usually occurring during level switches. Server providers may see a little bit of memory leakage instead in this situation
- Game servers should no longer quit in some situations where the online backend servers are down. Server will reconnect to the backend once it's up again
- Fix for ghost servers which didn't accept connections
- Kick reasons should better match situations where they are issued. This will help battlelog provide more accurate information to the player
- Connection fixes to avoid players sometimes being rejected while joining the game server on one of the last slots
- Security updates
- Improved server logging

Might be slightly different but I lose connection to server on level change.
EDIT: During gameplay I also get "Connection to the server has timed out" :(

Ok so the plan is tonight when the servers go offline I will implement a new patch.
Changes- Fix for rubber banding
- TDM/SQDM spawn point fix
- 2 crash fixes in end of round
- Fix for connection problem when joining password protected servers
- Removed ‘vars.allUnlocksUnlocked’ once ranked server settings are enforced, this may come back in some form.
I will also enable ques as well. All going that Arsey is around.

Yea ok, maybe made in a fit of rage, induced but yet another timed out session.... dont get me wrong, i do appreciate the unmetered servers etc, but its getting a little frustrating.

Strangely I have no problem at all with GetSome servers and I'm in OZ.
Rather than blaming GetSome for your issue, I'd be looking at you're provider.

Telstra is my provider, 15 mb connection....if that aint good enough to play on Telstra servers something aint right.

Interesting...I am with xnet. As are all the guys I play with that get disco'd at the same time. The thing is that they have been flawless for years with heaps of other games. Weird. Anything I could ask them to check in particular? I get 8 ping so pretty close connection.

you could call you isp and ask for a port reset....
run some traces to the server to maker sure no wtf hops.

Yeah the boys on Mumble who were on a different server were bitching abotu lag, but the server we were on, Big Maps #17, didn't skip a beat all night.

just played on one of the GetSome servers man the lag suck the big one, for a local server its so bad, i press forward to run i jumped 100m . been playing lots on the aussie servers lag not major issue.

Getting 12% packet loss over on 100 pings to GetSome gameserver 203.97.27.203. Unplayable, have checked AUS servers just as bad. Anyone else having grief or is it just me ?

NZ interwebs seemed shocking yesterday. Wasn't just GetSome that we were rubber banding on. every server we joined was Yuk.

Issue with my ISP im told, seems resolved now.
Wish they'd update the status of the interwebs when they have known issues rather than making we wait 20 minutes to talk to a "CSR" telling me to restart my modem, unplug all the splitters blah de blah de blah.....

in procon it is showing as rush and maplist is all rush maps - and showing 32/32 players - you sure you got the right server??
in fact just went through my entire procon list and none are the servers are amiss.... all settings are correct

Was going to report this earlier.
Battlelog is reporting 35 as playing as conquest, but server name is saying RUSH.
*edit Checked again, now has it saying its playing Rush.

Are there any issues with Punkbuster at the moment? I keep being kicked from the game CQ Fast Vehicle #57 for no apparent reason, with the plugin stating that I was kicked rather than a punkbuster error.... It has happened about 4 or 5 times tonight.

Just a heads up, even tho I'm sure you know.
Multiple BF3 servers are down and Server #57 (fast vehicle) loads all players without any customizations to anything and no mods or weapon/vehicle addons are unlocked.
Don't mean to be a .. c u next Tuesday, but as a Telstra customer, I'd love to see my favourite server fixed :) Long weekend coming up!

Only servers that were down to my knowledge were the 64p servers as they werent providing load outs and were reportedly crashing. They had some missing files that were one revision behind.

I keeping getting the "Something went wrong" message when playing your servers, mainly the 64p Caspain, but also the Rush. Is this the server crashing? After this error the server I was on isn't listed in the server browser :S

Went to join at 10:12 - "Cannot join server, Server is changing maps"
Tried again - "cannot join server as it's not there anymore!"
2 Minutes later the server is back online

Seems unstable as it changes maps.

I can only speculate but perhaps the increase of traffic from Arma 2 is impeding on things?

Yeh painful, was playing for Double XP, crashed and burned, lost everything. Hope u guys can find out the issue soon as it's not worth playing on atm. That or get rid of that cleaner :P
Obviously if it's network related this may not be relevant but could be good opportunity to setup some alternative servers with some of the same maps. I pm'ed LeadCollector some suggestions.

how about changing an existing Server #17 to 48 player Conquest server with just Bazaar, Tehran, Seine, Metro and Damavand maps. See how stable it is @ 48

They do but I have 300 slots of Dayz players connecting to that server as well.

Really think we need another 64 player as per server request thread..
Change #7 to another 64 player Conquest Large with the big maps Caspian, Firestorm, Kharg, Noshahr and also Gulf of Oman
- I'm sure the vast majority have Karkand and not even played Oman much. Be good to have it integrated and runs Conquest mode afaik and if not, that's when they can swap to #57
- With this is on similar maps but diff rotation from #57 we have map choice or if theres a problem we can go here
I know you may need to test 57 Live but I think we really need 1 stable server to go to. And when this is full they will connec to 57 anyway, Maybe no other game servers on this reconfigured #7?

Just FYI - server 56 is showing 80 ping and low network quality? 3 bars in light green. Server 7, 9 and 10 are 15 or so ping, the others are 50 to 70. Lookin abit high?

I see what is happening, I have asked DICE if this is a network issue perhaps. I am rebuilding the server from a fresh install however so will test that as well.

most of the 64p servers are on one physical machine pretty much everything in the 50's number range was one server from memory....

The server runs all 64p servers. I had 10 at one stage that had no problems once we fixed the network restrictions.

When the server quits or whatever it always happens right as the game ends and the summary screen is about to appear then bang, back to desktop. Not even a battle report gets sent to Battlelog - memory leak perchance? You did mentioned you had 300 connections to Dayz also on the server?

Doesn't seem to be, noticed lots of lag on foreign CQD maps but the GetSome ones are unpopulated so can't try them.

Pretty sure its affecting all the servers...Ive been playing on NZ and AUS ones this morning, and its unplayable really...constant lag - so frustrating. Havent checked the GetSome ones, but chances are if every other server is having issues so will GetSome's

I've noted that theres a problem with the majority of players being kicked from the server after the end of a match, whats the go with that? NZ : GetSome TelstraClear : CQ ARMOURED KILL #50 it just happened here too.

Bugger - Servers are still down. Glad I found this thread, I was beginning to wonder whether I was having firewall issues given I had just installed ESET 5 prior to trying to launch BF3.
Good luck trying to fix the servers, none are coming up yet though.

I was on the other day, was really rubber banding, it was only a 48 player server as well, it was doing it periodically: play for a 2-3 mins, fine, MASSIVE RUBBER BAND for about 5 -10 seconds, then another 2-3 mins of fine play.
I should have noted what server it was but I was too busy rage-quitting to notice.

Sorry just a little frustrated at the fact that the game has been out for just under a year now and GetSome still has the rubber banding issue. I can go play on a 64 player server in Europe and get a smoother game than on my 100mbit connection to Telstra GetSome servers. Maybe there isn't enough bandwidth on the back bone to cope with all the servers?
The lag seems intermittent and one time it happens is in the last five minutes of a game, so could it be related to uploading stats to battlelog pushing the network to saturation?

Have updated the 64p servers to R32 with a clean install. Could we please get these filled and see if lag/ dc drops have improved?
I will update the rest of the servers Monday. Possibly earlier if the 64's hold well

I'm re organising all the BF3 servers 2mrw and cutting down our collection. Stop playing Big maps on #17 and play it on the 64p server which is lag free ~_~

FWIW I had the same experience on Australian servers for those couple of days too. I don't think the "DC from EA Online" has much to do with GetSome and more to do with your client+ISP.

Server #50 Crashed tonight on map change.
Approx 7:15pm, Oops, something went wrong. Server wasn't on the server listing then but came back shortly after.

Seems to kick all players at the end of a map regularly. It just kicked 30 or so players now, at 10:44 8 Nov

5:41pm 10-11-12 Servers #57 and #17 kicked around 20-30 players at map change and werent on the server list for 5 minutes afterwards.

Seriously, the server doesn't even show in the list for me. Haven't seen it active for a while either.

Just tried going on the TDM server again this morning and it appears to be working now.

I intend on removing the CTF from this server and making it a End Game CQ only server still with map voting options.
There is already a CTF server for those who prefer this mode and if required we can add another server or two if the numbers are there.
Any opposition to the said change, speak now or forever hold your bacon :)

I love CTF, but to mix it up with other closer quater styles modes would be sweet too

I personally stay off servers or sit out rounds where there is a good jet pilot dominating as there are no real countermeasures, other than another good jet pilot, for removing the domination. Usually if there are two good pilots they will be on the same team! Murphy's law I guess.
There are already two AS servers so if people want to fly jets they can head there and leave some server configs for the grunts amongst us :)

All maps included in Battlefield 3, Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand, Battlefield 3: Armored Kill, Battlefield 3: Aftermath and Battlefield 3: End Game are available to play on the game modes Conquest, Rush, Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch and Squad Rush. Maps included in the Battlefield 3: Close Quarters expansion pack are not playable in Rush or Squad Rush game modes.

Can you change GetSome:TCL | Mixed Mode | 200% Tick | FAST VEHICLE | #08 so its not fast vehicle. Insta vehicle sucks ass for CTF, and everything really.

+1 on fast vehicle, terrible config in general.
And its only end game mixed mode... what happened to the other 4 expansions? :o

I will be back from holiday tomorrow and will have a look into it. Need to get the new config's made permanent to stop the servers returning to the wrong settings every time they are restarted, that I will also try to do tomorrow :)
