Today, I finally beat the song "Through the Fire and Flames" on Guitar Hero 3. I then realised that it was the biggest accomplishment I've ever made in my entire life...lol
Nah Seriously, I managed to travel through 12 countries last year for my OE with having very basic language skills and surviving...
I had no inclination to travel, but once i was there, i was sad for having to return and now im saving up again to go back to the favourite places and do more.

My biggest acheivement so far? I've had a couple, but the biggest of the lot would have to be surviving four years in a long-distance relationship, and its now ticked over into the sixth year, but no longer long distance :P

But probably my biggest achievement is my motorcycling, getting my full lisence, leading 20+ riders of mixed skills and bikes regularly and getting good feedback while having the time of my life on a crotch rocket.

commemoration ceremony for the 60th anniversary of the battle of monte cassino where my grandad fought, was shot up and awarded an MM for his actions.
if you scroll to the bottom of the main page you'll see why it's quite a significant day for me.

My Grandad was there also !!!! 8th army Artillery ,Harold Taylor. all the way through from 1940 to 1945 ,wounded only once yet in the thick of it most times.
he died of lung cancer from smoking he started in ww2. god bless him ,he was a good man I can remember him still always helpful. :[

26th battalion, don't know what squad.
from what I gather the officer in command was killed and my grandads squad was surrounded by germans just north of cassino (although one report says it happened in cassino) so he threw grenades at them at a risk to his life, he was shot 3 times (leg, arm and torso) if an english officer had witnessed it I'm told he would've received a victoria cross, but I gather that happened quite often, acts of heroism went un noticed simply cause an english offier was not present.
regardless of the award I'm still proud of him and think of him very much on this day.
he died peacefully in his sleep 9 months after I was born when one of the arteries in his stomach (damaged from the wounds he recieved) let go, I was the only member of my generation to meet him.

My 4 kids...... 25, 21, 18, and 16
Thank feck they haven't turned out like I was......
Also surviving past 21, so many said I would be dead before then, so up theirs.
One more thing. Getting an education, sneaking through school barely able to read and write, then having to learn it all as an adult one of the proudest moments of my life, graduating.

The other guy allegedly sexually assaulted a then 13 year old girl in my house and I gave her the benefit of the doubt, unlike the filth. The fact the guy was arrested a year or two later for biting the heads off live chickens in front of Hamilton Police says something about him..
