Title: Steam Sale Thread (Xmas 2015 / Jan 2016)
Post by: Lias on December 23, 2015, 02:30:20 pm
What are people buying, what are the must haves, etc etc.

What I've grabbed so far:

Darkest Dungeon (http://store.steampowered.com/app/262060/) - NZ$ 11.99
Darkest Dungeon is a challenging gothic roguelike turn-based RPG about the psychological stresses of adventuring.
Recruit, train, and lead a team of flawed heroes through twisted forests, forgotten warrens, ruined crypts, and beyond. You'll battle not only unimaginable foes, but stress, famine, disease, and the ever-encroaching dark. Uncover strange mysteries, and pit the heroes against an array of fearsome monsters with an innovative strategic turn-based combat system.

Warhammer 40,000: Regicide (http://store.steampowered.com/app/322910/) - NZ$ 12.05
Regicide is a brutal take on one of the greatest turn based strategy games of all time. The game fuses multiple phases of combat with dynamic action. Manoeuvre your army into place and unleash a devastating array of tactical abilities to crush your enemies

Besiege (http://store.steampowered.com/app/346010/) - NZ$ 6.99
Besiege is a physics based building game in which you construct medieval siege engines and lay waste to immense fortresses and peaceful hamlets. Build a machine which can crush windmills, wipe out battalions of brave soldiers and transport valuable resources, defending your creation against cannons, archers and whatever else the desperate enemies have at their disposal. Create a trundling behemoth, or take clumsily to the skies, and cause carnage in fully destructible environments. Ultimately, you must conquer every Kingdom by crippling their castles and killing their men and livestock, in as creative or clinical a manner as possible!

Mad Max (http://store.steampowered.com/app/234140/) - NZ$ 25.15
Become Mad Max, the lone warrior in a savage post-apocalyptic world where cars are the key to survival. In this action-packed, open world, third person action game, you must fight to stay alive in The Wasteland, using brutal on-ground and vehicular against vicious gangs of bandits. A reluctant hero with an instinct for survival, Max wants nothing more than to leave the madness behind and find solace in the storied “Plains of Silence.” Players are challenged with treacherous missions as they scavenge the dangerous landscape for supplies to build the ultimate combat vehicle.

Thinking about getting Dying Light. Apart from that, it's more transparent BS.

Original prices on games are fucking price gouging, then slap on a 50% off sale and people shit the bed with OMG SO CHEAP!!!

lol caching issues fucking shit up for everyone.
Hooray give away all your personal details, BUT ONLY IF YOU LOOKED AT IT TO TRY AND SECURE IT UPON NOTICE OF FUCKUP.
It was a good day to buy nothing, view nothing, and log in to nothing.

After looking around, the Dying Light special of $30 was pretty extreme and no other legitimate retailers could come anywhere near it.

So grabbed it. Game is so much fucking fun.
