Server is getting hammered, took a few goes for my registration to get through.

I will reserve judgement - apparently the gameplay is meant to be similar to BC2 - which I enjoyed muchly

I got in, but do you need to own battlefield 4 to play the beta? I see conflicting reports on the net if you need to own it or not. plus I have heard people are having issues seeing the game in there library

I'm not sure if you need to own Battlefield 4 for or not. I already have BF4, but from what I have read it seems that you don't need it to be able to play so you should be good. And if your having problem's finding the BETA then click show hidden games and it should show up next to the other Battlefield Betas, well that's the case with my library.

But your biggest problem will be finding a server they are packed at the moment.

Game is now open to the public for PC users. Will get home and fire it up see how it plays.
