I think the devil is in the details.
If someone came in and asked what was best for killing humans and how to dispose of the evidence, surely they'd be obligated to notify police.

Same like shrinks. Confidentiality unless you're talking about harming others.

Was taking the piss, but it still fits some what. End of the day the guy as far as I know(correct me if im wrong) he hasn't actually committed any offenses, yes he didn't run the business the best way from a legal stand point, but no laws were broken. Surely the money and time wasted on this could have been better spent on actually taking down a real criminal, instead of locking someone up that was supplying growing equipment that "Could" have been used to grow dope, a harmless drug in the grand scale of things.

Round up all the gun and hunting shops, as they sell the equipment used to kill someone, even give advice on how to shoot, what is needed, and supply the ammo.

Sigh, the Pyro's are double-teaming the derp.

Their number plates, logos, some of the product they sold. I'm not saying it;s bad to sell the stuff, I'm merely commenting on how stupid they were not to be a bit more subtle about it.

I'm not saying they werent stupid about it, just pointed out the fact I think to be handed a 3 year jail sentence over the selling of equipment is complete bs.

I was initially thinking "jail time, really? It's just pot" but then as I read on, the guys at SOG appear to be pretty brazen about the fact they supply equipment to pot heads. They deserve jail time for shear stupidity.

Supplying growing equipment horrible offense. We should also be tracking down those needle exchange owners and locking them up since they are freely providing druggies gear, oh wait thats the government isnt it. Should also charge engineering shops that do up cars, since they are brazen about the fact they are equipping and encouraging illegal racing.

Great race.

Hopefully Ferrari can keep it together development wise and keep the car going strong, same with Lotus. Nice to see Alonso finally have a car that can produce results with ferrari.

As much as I dislike Redbull, it looks Webber won't be renewing his contract with them this year, giving Kimi a chance to move in. I believe Kimi has got a far better chance with RB to win a championship than Lotus, but its still tough considering the obvious bias in the team(more so from Marko) towards Vettel. I'm far from a conspiracy theorist but you can't help but look at Webber and think the team may have done a few things to help Vettels progress whilst effecting Webbers chances.

Regardless it looks as though this year is going to be a great championship, with Ferrari having a car that can push for the championship for the first time in a few years. Mercedes looking strong as long as they can keep up with the developments through the season. Lotus looking again like a front running with Kimi, and Red Bull at this stage not looking as though they will run away with the championship with a massively dominant car as they have the past few years.

Will be very interesting to see how this season will pan out.

My picks, Alonso to take the championship, Kimi 2nd, Vettel 3rd, Hamilton 4th.

*edit in response to Zarkov.

I had picked Vettel to be a top driver and had supported him back when he was at toro rosso and originally moved to Red Bull. But they way he has acted over the past couple of seasons my opinion of him has drastically changed. He is still a great driver(anyone that has won 3 WDC regardless of how dominant the car is, is still a top driver) but he is very childish and needs to be put in his place. I believe the reason he is the way he is, is mainly because of how dominant the car has been and he believes he is one of the greatest drivers ever in F1, which is far from right. I think this showed in the last race when he defied team orders and passed Webber believing he had the right, which showed to be the case when he told the Media that he didnt understand the orders over the radio to hold position. He reminds me of a spoiled 10yo kid thinking he has a right to whatever he wants, and hopefully this season someone like Alonso can show him how its done.

I would of loved to have seen Alonso win the WDC last year in a car that clearly for half the season was a mile off the pace, this year he has a car worthy of his skills to show what he can achieve.

bro, do you even lift?

Have you ever been out "dong the laps"? it is just a giant excuse to race and do skids and silly $#@!, and from time to time someone is seriously injured.

As a car enthusiast (actually I'm a petrol head) I'd rather they harass me than let $#@!wits like that piss around.

What's even more $#@!ed up is various institutions (myself included) have tried to put on legal places for these people to go and do skids, race and drift. They're either not interested (because it's not like fast and the furious), or manage to $#@! it up for themselves and everybody else anyway, which makes their whole "I just want to show off my car" a load of rubbish, cause there's car shows for exactly that.

Every other avenue (pun) has been attempted with these people and it has literally got to the point where banning them outright is the only option, further more since they made cruising illegal it's worked a treat, I'd have to say it's one of the most successful modern laws put in to place I've ever seen.

None of the real "car enthusiast's" gives a $#@! about cruising or the 4 ave's so anyone who claims to being one, yet wants to go cruising, is simply a liar.

Well put. Ive been involved in and around motor sport my entire life at various levels, and no real can enthusiast carries on like these idiots do. The general boy racer crew only want to get out on public roads doing burnouts for their mates and racing each other putting innocent lives at risk then use the "car enthusiast tag" as a mask so they can look like the innocent party. Given the opportunity for these guys to go out on the track in a safe controlled environment the majority couldn't care less.

Looking at some of the comments on that facebook page just shows the intelligence level of most of them. "Let's rip it up fukkers FTP"   "*F*T*FKN*P*24*7*365* All day every fucken day. Get amongst it guys let's STAND OUR FUCKEN GROUND!!!!! No more fucken running"   "Whos all hitting the aves this weekend? Fuck the police!"   "police are a criminal organisation to whom that think police are their to help. yous have no idea of their corruptness"

da police are out to get everyone, didnt yous all know dis, far

Its shit like this that gives crossfit a bad rep.

Sadly a lot of places are doing this sort of crap, which is why I'm not too fond of it myself. Crossfits WOD basically pushes people to beat your previous best times and others times as well, so form a lot of the time goes out the window in order to get on the board, putting people in bad positions and risking injury.

Technology & Hardware / iPhone 3gs Unlock
« on: November 12, 2012, 08:49:02 pm »
Havent really played with iphones all that much so figured easiest thing to do would be to ask here.

My mates just come back from the UK and has an iphone 3gs and is still on a plan with a uk provider. The problem is the phones locked to the UK, and after calling them they have said she will have to get the phone shipped off and pay for it to be unlocked before a NZ simcard will work.

I assume jailbreaking the phone unlocks the country lock and you can use NZ sim cards? Obviously she would rather not be without the phone for a couple of weeks and have to pay for it to be unlocked, so If anyone could possibly point me in the right direction on remedying this issue it would be greatly appreciated.

Schumacher with more than half his retirements driver error? What season have you been watching, other than the last race and possibly the incident with Senna, everything else has been mechanical failures, or having his race destroyed by the likes of Grosjean driving into him on the first lap.

Aus - Gearbox failure, hence not being able to slow the car down quick enough and heading off at turn 1, Retired mechanical issue.
China - Pitstop error, with wheel nut not tightened. Retired mechanical issue.
Spain - Hit back of Senna.
Monaco - Fuel pick up problem. Retired mechanical issue.
Canada - DRS stuck up. Retired mechanical issue.
Hungary - Telemetry issue and overheating. Retired mechanical issue.
Singapore - Crashed into the back of Vergne.

Would love to see him go back to Ferrari for a season, getting him back in a car that isn't an absolute pig, but I can see Ferrari holding onto Massa for another year.

Looks like Hamiltons just chasing the money heading to Merc. Not sure why you would leave McLaren who is looking the strongest team to head to a struggling Merc that hasnt improved in 3 years.

Stay the hell away from Smith machines. Do a proper bench, with both dumbells and barbells, both have their advantages. Smith machine limits your range and forces you into an unnatural movement, putting stress on your joints that is unnecessary.

Imo if you are looking for a decent personal trainer and your goal is to get bigger, look around the gym for PT's that have a decent physique and are a bit older or who have been in the business for sometime. Like I said in a previous post, almost anyone can call themselves a "PT" these days, with having very little knowledge or training backing them.

Nice work so far, can see a lot more definition around your delts and chest, and your stomachs looking flatter. Now you just need to put on some more size.

Buying protein powder, multi-vitamins pretty much any supps, highly recommend http://www.iherb.com delivery is generally around 3-4 days but you will save anything from 25-50% on your orders. Think they are also doing free shipping until next wed for orders between $40 and $80. http://www.iherb.com/?rcode=YOR289 code for an extra 5$ off your first order as well. All the nz shops do great work here, bodybuilding.co.nz, shotgun, supplements.co.nz, sportsfuel, punchsupplements etc but they just cant compete with the pricing from iherb.

For taste on protein powder you can't go past ON (optimum nutrition) I would send you a sample but I think sending powder in the mail looks a little dodgy these days hahaha, maybe ask around any supp stores down your way see if they have any samples.

The instant you tell anyone you go to the gym and every man and his dog comes out of the wood work and tells you to do this and do that and don't do that regardless of the fact that you've mentioned you're following the advice of a qualified trainer.

To be fair a "qualified trainer" doesn't mean much these days. Not saying you're trainer is good, just a lot of young guys out there that basically follow simple guidelines and realistically don't have much of a clue on proper form, exercises, diet and varying techniques to achieve each individuals goals. Most young trainers just have a basic set program they give out to virtually everyone. Also remember the internet is your friend, lots of valuable info regarding everything you could want. Come join us over at http://www.nzbodybuilding.co.nz/index.php, lots of knowledgeable people always will to help anyone regardless of their goals, Its not just a bodybuilding site, more of an overall fitness forum(Bodybuilding, powerlifting, crossfit, etc).

Keep up the good work though, train hard, eat right, sleep well, 3 easy steps to follow to reach your goals. And yea basically ignore all the people trying to give you advice unless they have been there done it and are in reasonably good shape themselves.
