I've got four, no three (broke one) of these glasses now, come with a four pack for $15 dollars at Cuntdown, which is eminently better thsan $12 for a glass at the Belgian Beer Bar.

This thread reminded me of how much i drank over the Christmas break, but i got through a bit of Kingfisher (great with a curry). We used to drink Warsteiner by the truckload in Germany and got paid many a visit by the bedroom gorilla.
 
I've just latched onto some Pirate Beer (it's a long story) from PaknSave. It's 8.5% of headwalloping fun - i've just dropped it into the fridge.

Oz and Hugh Raise the Bar is a tour of British pubs, with the Oz Clarke and Hugh Dennis competing in stupid competitions to earn drinks which will feature in their bars at the end of the series. Good laugh and interesting drink knowledge.

Been there, done that. In fact you can get it in a quart bottle at Raviz in Mt Eden (well you could a few years back)

Looking forward to having a few in Christchruch next week, Twisted Hop is only a block or two from my hotel by the looks. Hopefully be having a beer with Azure/Codex, if anyone is keen. Has anyone had Coopers Extra Strong Vintage Ale before?

I picked up a bottle today and it has some wicked nasty chunks floating around in it. I'm not sure if this is apart of the actual brew as I have had some legitimate beers that leave in chunks of what it is brewed with.

The label doesn't say anything special about what it's brewed with, just the usual "hops" and the likes.

Haven't opened it yet and want to know before I go back and ask what the deal is.

In the mean time, I'm about to try some Weka - Native Lager.

EDIT: Weka tastes like an expensive Tui. Yerk.

Yes, the Moa, is definitely superior to the Weka, which in turn is superior to the Tui.
