Right, show the world your sexy hardware, case mods, whatever ("e-peen").

Rules:

Pictures only, with a small comment.  Any other discussion, comments and questions can be posted in the "Case Gallery Discussion" sticky here (http://forums.iconzarena.co.nz/showthread.php?t=33963).  Any comments etc. posted in here, I'll move, or more likely delete.

Stick to the Forum image size guidelines (which I can't find, so I'll make up for now:sly:) - so, nothing over 1024 wide, as some of us still have 4:3 screens.  If it's bigger, just thumbnail it.

Finally got replacement PSU (Enermax Galaxy DXX 1000).

(http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/7165/desktop2tidycablesmallxj7.jpg) (http://imageshack.us)

Have some temporary fans until Chipset and GPU Waterblocks arrive... (looks ugly, but it works, and is only temporary)

(http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/8708/desktop3tidycablesmallzv1.jpg) (http://imageshack.us)

Also re-instated an old Zalman FanController i had lying around...

So i got my new case but have not yet desided on what mobo and cpu i want. + my bro has now desided to wait for another month before giving me money for my old mobo and cpu....so i desided to put my od hardware in my new case...

on this case there is a bar at the top stopping me from feeding cables (like fan and 12v mobo power) though it... it was still a fun build...

OLD:

NEW:

i was getting agitated so i will fix the cables up later...

ZOMG, IT STILL WORKS!

My server has recieved all my HDDS..

IT got to hot so some old PSU's got pulled apart and the MOdding started...None of the origanal front is left...

The sides remain to create a tunnel effect to move air better through the system...

These are some of the things that should all arrive tomorrow...my quad core will be here also so i can finally get my P5E in there...

i will cut some holes below the bar you see on the 3rd pic (side) because it is stopping me from routing the cables properly so they will be under the mobo

a hole is also going above the 2 oval holes where the 5 1/4" drives are to power the top fans discretely.

K here we go...

(http://img389.imageshack.us/img389/3403/dsc00650rv7.jpg) (http://imageshack.us)

Oh yes that's Zalman ZM-MFC1 fan controller...very nice.

(http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/5816/dsc00651bg7.jpg) (http://imageshack.us)

Fan's running on low so the LED'S are dim

(http://img389.imageshack.us/img389/3860/dsc00652au4.jpg) (http://imageshack.us)

From further back(ouch the cables are getting messy!)

(http://img389.imageshack.us/img389/3442/dsc00653gk9.jpg) (http://imageshack.us)

Box full of goodies

(http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/9379/dsc00654qk8.jpg) (http://imageshack.us)

And finally still to go in a rounded IDE cable for the dvd drive and cathodes but the cathodes appear to be fucked so I might replace them with some 30 cm ones.

I really dislike fan controllers with searing LEDs that burn your eyes when you're using the PC in the dark.

The old one.

And new :) Gigabyte Aurora 3D, but it's no fun if you've still got a warranty, so I switched out all the blue LEDs for green ones.

just got a new case the other day and thought i might grab a few pics of the case change.

enjoy

right out of the box, pity i had to go to work as soon as it arrived
(http://img57.imageshack.us/img57/3479/outsidecasenm4.jpg)

the pretty instrument panel which i pretty much brought it for, still gotta hook em up properly though
(http://img48.imageshack.us/img48/9025/dialsde9.jpg)

once i got home, i began the pull apart. this is from old case to new case, i had to stand up as id spent the last hour on the floor, got pins and needles
(http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/3407/2casesoi3.jpg)

tried to make the cabling as tidy as possible, but some of that psu cable is so thick, is just has a mind of its own! cable ties to the rescue
(http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/8736/cabletieskb8.jpg)

i even superglued some of them to the case so i could get them set and out of the way from the airflow
(http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/4903/supergluexc0.jpg)

all done, only a wee bit more room in the new case, but now i can space my hdd's out and have some airflow in between, the last case they were stacked  right on top of each other.

note spacing, also moved the new 120mm fan in front of them, so now they idle at 25 degrees, as in the old case they idled at over 50
(http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/7692/case2lv9.jpg)
\

and we are done, glows a cool blue colour through the dials, and from the looks of it, only the temp dial works,  but overall im happy with the result, and it has great airflow, my CPU now idles at 11 degrees
(http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/6359/alldonega9.jpg)

I decided to put the decent mobo (GA-P35-DQ6) in the HTPC - mostly to take advantage of the DTS-Connect via S/PDIF (which works brilliantly).  Also split up my HDD stack, and put half of them in here too.

I really need to get a decent cooler for the thing, the CPU is pushing 60-70C under that crappy stock Intel sink. :/

Gave the main PC a good rebuild/clean too, which was well overdue (an 18 month un-maintained w/c loop is never a good thing) - I might get round to putting the case all back together one day

Seriously? You don't get it. Spamming a few random pics is not contributing to the community. You're not fooling anyone, and are only here to sell your stuff / abuse the for sale section. This is a piss-poor attempt at adding a few posts to your count while you try and flog off your crap in you two sale threads. Go back to tardme.

No.

People that sign up to a gaming forum just to sell their shit off to the community members there are shitheads. We've been over this several times, and in each case, that person is banned and their threads removed - so I'm clearly not the only one that feels that way. This guy had 7 posts, all of them in the for sale section, and two different threads selling his shit.

Tardme is for joining up and selling shit, ICONZ is for gaming where it MEMBERS may also use the for sale section - it's not there for people to join just to use the for sale section.

And I quoted the pics because they look like he just got some random pics from the net, and claimed they were pic of his rig. I wanted to preserve the retardation from him editing it away once busted.

Shasta, I agree with you, people that sign up ONLY to sell stuff are assholes.

But right now, you're being the asshole. If he was just selling stuff, he would have of given up and gone to TradeMe, rather than make an effort to post here. I don't see why you keep going on and on and on about this kind of stuff. Maybe you're trolling, and if you are then you're doing well. But if you aren't, you're just being a cock. He may be like me, and he likes to read about things that others do, because we ourselves can't do it. Hell, I even lurk on UG, and I've read enough stuff to even give some advice, and I've never built a guitar before. Bleach may just have been reading up on some stuff, and just happened to have some old gear lying around.

Stop being such a twat and do something other than QQ'ing on ICONZ.

Back on topic:

I have nothing. I just have a generic case, and no mods whatsoever. Just so boring compared to all your nice setups!

EDIT:
To Codex,

I could buy a new guitar for a grand, or I could save a couple hundred and buy used. It's just maximizing really. We are in the recession lol.

Wow, an opinion from someone with less posts than the community leech we are discussing. Facepalm.

Have you ever tried to sell stuff? Of COURSE he'd make a couple of extra posts when he's getting called out - it's to make idiots like you think he's actually part of the community, or trying to be. He doesn't give a fuck, he just wants to sell his shit and will do whatever he feels he must to keep his threads from being deleted. And do you REALLY think he took those pics, or those are his rigs? REALLY?

He doesn't give a fuck, he just wants to sell his shit and will do whatever he feels he must to keep his threads from being deleted. And do you REALLY think he took those pics, or those are his rigs? REALLY?

*Sigh* grow up, This dude is so well known over at GP its not funny, He would be one of the most committed PC builders I've seen. Always gives others help and always been friendly to deal with.

Great work Sean, keep it up!

Haven't hooked up the DVD drive yet because i can't seem to install it without having an unsightly IDE cable running across from side to side. Will be picking up a SATA drive at some point.

This case has to be the most quietest case i have ever owned.

i beg a huge differ that air coolers do better at the low-end side as the h50 is a low-end water cooler

the h70 has a bigger rad = possible problem but i got the h50 before the h70 hit our shelves
diff between 860 OC 3.36 stock and h50 is around 16.5 so h50>150$ aircooling

It depends on the radiator size aswell,i picked up one of these http://www.playtech.co.nz/afawcs0139235/CATID=216/ID=13886/SID=645788426/productdetails.html (http://www.playtech.co.nz/afawcs0139235/CATID=216/ID=13886/SID=645788426/productdetails.html) only cause i had store credit (Asetek make the H50/70 for corsair).

It does a better job than my megahalems at keeping my i5@4ghz cooler, very rarely does it go over 40deg.

And it look a million times better than the air coolers aswell.

haha yea i cant fit a dual rad well mayb i could with some case mods, and sure aircoolers are super sexy well some of them and they do pretty darn good @ cooling. But the watercooled kits are smallish and tidy and thats really what im after. & something new

This http://www.playtech.co.nz/afawcs0139235/CATID=216/ID=6521/SID=1051025654/productdetails.html or the corsair h50 but if they both made by the same person i'll save me 50$

pretty much the situation these days someone just slaps their name on it and sells it

anyways just buy the 550LC then buy two decent fans you'll find the corsair fan is crap and noisy you'll also need to find some screws on your own to mount a second fan on it or you could just use 2 screws on either side

haha yea i cant fit a dual rad well mayb i could with some case mods, and sure aircoolers are super sexy well some of them and they do pretty darn good @ cooling.

Nice rig han got enough HD's in there?

Actually working on getting 2 more in there. Just need some fancy plates to mount the hdd's in below the optical drive.
HOWEVER, just temp replaced my motherboard so my neat cabling went to hell...plus I have to reset the thermal paste on my cpu as i fucked it up. Thats the only issue with going hardout tidy, when you have to mess with it the system never returns to the original awesomeness...

I used some double sided tape. Good quaility stuff.

I used some cardboard from a box (that thinker kind, not the thinner glossy stuff) and cut it about 10mm shy of the total SSD size. Put plenty of tape on it and it holds well.
