Just found a shop where I can get Emersons in Canberra. What a top brewer, if only I could get a bottle of their bourbon barrel porter. Im not even sure they make it anymore.

Apologies if this has been linked before, but http://www.hashigozake.co.nz/ looks like it's well worth a visit.

And bonus of bonuses - it's just over the road from my office.

Monteiths is bringing out a Crushed Pear Cider. Worth a try if you tried the Apple Cider.

I found this a litlte insipid.....no real pear flavour that I could taste.

As pointed out on facebook, silly muppet, Hashigo is great. And one of our own works there. Should make that the bar for next wellington drinks.

Kopparberg pear cider is the answer. Im not sure if you can find it in NZ, I have only noticed it in Aus for the last 6 months or so.
Rekorderlig cider is popular with the ladies, but is too sweet for me and has no real pear flavour.

Get involved on the handpump, quite a different experience drinking warm, flat but oh so tasty beer!

I'm not much into the boutiquey type beers atm.... maybe when the kids get a little older and I can escape more for a quiet drop...

A couple of the nicer drops I've had recently
#1 Kronenbourg 1664 --> http://www.k1664.com/

Was a very nice drop I quite enjoyed it... particularly after pretty hectic schedule of meetings in Taiwan, was just the thing when we got back to Hong Kong for the night... In fact we forgot to eat as we were enjoying the beer too much.

#2 Fat Tyre --> http://www.newbelgium.com/beer/detail.aspx?id=7c5b394b-d7b7-486a-ac9a-316256a7b0ee

Had a few too many of these on most nights while up in Denver.... another nice brew....
