Arsenal captain Francesc Fabregas struck an emphatic deuce to help his side to victory over visiting Middlesbrough on Sunday lunchtime to help the Gunners go into their midweek Champions League semi-final against Manchester United in a confident mood.
The Spaniard, though, believes that the Red Devils are one of the game’s most formidable outfits of all time.
He also added that deep-lying forward Wayne Rooney and fleet-footed trickster Cristiano Ronaldo are United’s potential match-winners.
He told the News of the World, "I have no problem saying United are one of the best clubs in the world, even though I want to beat them.
"They are the best side in the world at the moment, a top, top side and we respect them a lot. In fact, they are one of the best clubs in history.
"I respect [United manager] Alex Ferguson for what he has achieved. There have been some great battles over the years and I am sure these two games will be just as interesting and dramatic."
Pinpointing specific threats to Arsenal's progression in the Champions League, he added, "Rooney and Ronaldo are amazing.
"I really admire them for what they do. They have been excellent players from an early age and it's unbelievable how they have maintained their amazing standards.
"I am a big fan of both of them. You can expect just about anything from them and they always make a difference in games. Look at Ronaldo against Porto, what a goal! It was one of the best goals I've seen.
"United are probably our biggest rivals but they are a team who play good football. You always enjoy these games but we are determined to come out on top. There is always good football in games between the two of us. They like to create and we have a go, so it's tremendous for the supporters.
"At least we know we can beat them as we proved at The Emirates. They had their best players in the game earlier in the season and we won. That gives us tremendous confidence."
Elsewhere, Arsenal will have to make do without the continued absence of both William Gallas (knee ligament) and Robin van Persie (groin strain).
The French defender has been ruled out for the rest of the season while Arsene Wenger confirmed on the club's official website that Van Persie is definitely out of the Old Trafford visit.
"He is definitely out for Manchester United," Wenger said last week.
Andrey Arshavin is also unavailable as he is cup-tied due to his earlier participation in the same competition with Zenit St. Petersburg.
Gael Clichy, though, may make a return.
As well as taken a course in acting, preferably a drama major.
why is rooney still around....the dudes a fucken gimp
Thierry is nothing without his Arse.
Van Persie can be a true Gun(ner) when he really wants to, but unfortunately that often isn't the case, that ontop of the fact that Arsene Wenger seems to like trying out as many different combinations with team line up and formation as possible, stops him from performing extremely well. Oh and of course half of Arsenal constantly get injured.
I feel that we will be a lot more dominant next year, Arshavin will have improved, and won't be cup tied, and Eduardo will be back in full form, hopefully we will be able to pull a couple of defenders who can help out at the back. Gibbs looks like he could be our next great defender.
My Prediction for the Arsenal Manu games (first and second UCL leg) will be
Man U 2 - 1 Ars
Ars 1- 0 Man u
Carlos Vela has had the all-clear to return to training after missing Monday’s session due to a concern over swine flu.
Over 150 people in his native Mexico are feared to have died because of an outbreak of the deadly disease. As a result every country is on high alert in case the problem turns into a global pandemic.
The alarm was raised at Arsenal because the 20-year-old striker recently had friends visiting him from back home. The Club were asked to make sure Vela stayed away from training on Monday but he was back in the group the next day.
“It was basically down to the fact that he had a visit from Mexican friends who came to see him last week,” said Arsène Wenger at Tuesday's press conference.
“He stayed out of our training ground but he has had the all-clear now. There must be a problem that is really big because we were asked to keep him at home. But he was free again to attend training today.”
thats a bloody good point tbh. some of those sky presenters that telecast the rugby are just plain tossers , irl as well Ive heard.
Naw just kidding i get the same thing, plus i can't stand some of the anouncers voices
They will need to score at least 3 goals then as can't see United not scoring at Emirates
i dont watch much soccer (dont have sky) but play it a lot - until yesterday when i twisted my knee at soccer :S - looks like i'll be watching it for a while now
Good to see Ferdinand injured for the next leg of Arse v Manure.kinda rude but I feel the same. Rio gets my back up for some reason. ManU just comes over as having too many posers imo though a good team yeah Id like to see the gunners take it (havent seen it yet)
guts man, i injured my right foot(striking foot :/ ) twice while playing years ago, got some kinda artery damage or someshit from it lol
anyone know of a site or sites that you can watch the full games?dont have sky sadly :(
myp2p.eu
may have to download sopcast, etc. or, veetle.com has good quality.
no idea what it's like outside europe though.
I think we can hold them scoreless, just have to hope the refs are on our side again.
.
Watch the replay and feel the pain. That last Ronaldo goal was perfectly executed.Pleasure to watch even though I dislike both teams involved.
Soccer, football, same thing really. They arent, you make me angry.
They arent, you make me angry.
Hey man its just a game, no need to get angry over it.Actually its a sport, a game is something you seem to spend all day doing.
Actually its a sport, a game is something you seem to spend all day doing.
To be honest you "serious game players" give your sport a bad rep. You look like pretentious elitists and put off newcomers to your sport. I can't blame them really.Maybe if you exercised more than your wrist and index finger you wouldn't be so put off sports.
Maybe if you exercised more than your wrist and index finger you wouldn't be so put off sports.
Bleh, this is Arsenal's first game that I have missed since I started supporting them, I slept straight through my alarm going off!
Will have to watch the replay tonight.
dont do it to yourself.
it was dismal. a mistake 8 minutes in effectively cost the tie.
even though arsenal lost this morning at Man U I think they should beat Man U and home next week
just hope they dont conceed an away goal or they are fucked
lol
who watched champions league this morning hahahah Chelsea fail
My mate is hardcore Chelsea and I txt him at the 87th minute and said "i can feel a injury time equaliser from Barcelona" then it 93rd minute got a txt back
"fuck you"
hahhahahaha
BL chelsea
I dont see barca stoping man u tbh
veetle doesnt work outside europe, never tried myp2p.eu though, but the .eu would suggest it prob wont work either.
Passionate maybe classless never.
That ref should go back to kiddies footy
Go Barca!!!!
Chelsea knocked out, hurrah!
Still one of the worst ref performances I've ever seen, at least 3 stone cold penalties - and the pyschotic reaction of Drogba and Co after the game was typical of those bunch of classless twats.
Great game!
Get in Henry!
Yelling 'Fucking disgrace!!!!' into TV cameras while you're a wide eyed loon wearing jandals and making threatening gestures like a drunken holiday-maker to the ref is pretty classless imo.
Where's Cake - Sydney?
I was happy with how Arsenal played in the 4-1 defeat, we didn't give up until the final whistle had blown, we were just horrible at finishing, especially Walcott.
Oh sweet, which one were you?
Most people call me Arshavin, but I prefer to be called Andrei.
Not sure about you nub Kiwi's, but in Australia at least, we consider supporters to be the extra player, as a team playing at their home stadium with full crowd support/ cheering often gives the home team that little bit more of an edge over the other team.
Oh right, Australian, Arsenal, two English players, we, thanks for clearing that up. Got it now.
i hope players like smeltz do well at this tournament
I reckon he wouldnt do to bad in say the EPL
Simon Elliot - WBA (i think)
Ryan Nelsen - Blackburn Rovers
Fallon's son was on the books as a junior for one of the sides (can't remember which)
Chris Killen plays at Celtic. There may be more.
I give up on this thread...
Every time I post here I get heaps of neg rep.
Why does the beautiful game have such losers following it?
:finger:
I give up on this thread...beautiful game !??? hahaha dont make me laugh . let the doco geeks call it that , I just call it football .

also to hell with the neg reppers here , let them neg ya . my whole page is red dude ,so what couldnt give a shit !!
Now.. NZ verse Spain . will be interesting
I honestly don't think Spain will play their best team, no offence, but why would they?
Um, to give us a thrashing?
Spain 4
NZ 0
Torres has a hattrick and Fabregas is in on the action as well. It's a good thing they aren't playing their top team. /sarcasm.
We meed more than hope im afraid.
How about that howler from Boyens inside the 18 yard box.
Um, to give us a thrashing?
Spain 4
NZ 0

Italy were very lucky to have won the WC in 06, and have absolutely no chance next year.nah theyre getting some new players ;) will be different netx year
Going to be an interesting season this one.
I say Chelsea to win it over Arsenal, and Man U, Liverpool, and Aston villa to follow closely behind.
Heres to hoping Man City get more injuries than the rest of the EPL combined.
Although looking at the pre season, Arsenal do look mighty fine, Chelsea drew with Reading, and only won over Man U thanks to a dodgy ref, Liverpool and Man City lost to Atletico Madrid, Arsenal beat them, Man city lost to Celtic, Arsenal are playing Celtic in their first qualifier for the Champs League.
6-1 To the mighty Arsenal!
Fantastic game.
Fabregas, Van Persie and Arshavin are a mean little combo to have and arsenal are looking real good
I just want someone outside of chelsea and Man U to win!!!
Liverpool lost :(
Hull lost :(
but I just want Arsenal to finish first or second,
What about that scorcher from Leo Bertos.
Bah can't find a vid to link. Best strike i've ever seen on Nz soil even with the deflection.
So do i. I just dropped some money on them at $6.50 to win the Premiership. If you know anything about Arsenal you'll know that this is the time when they shine.
Mind you, i also got some cheap action on the Bombers to win the flag at $80.00. It's a long shot but the Baby Bombers are back, baby! :rnr:
I got my tickets for the all whites match today. can't wait.
@ bertos' goal it was pretty funny cos the commentator says "oh it shouldnt trouble the keeper from that range". then he scores. lol
Hahahahahahahah at Man U
Burnley laugh in the face of Man U :bounce:
We are top of the table again. :)
I value your decisions and opinions quite highly,
I'm flattered.
I've been following the Gunners since the early 70's after my parents bought me a book of great sporting achievements for christmas. It detailed the Gunners doing the "double" (FA Cup, Premiership) in 71. They won the FA Cup in 79 and did the double again 98 and 2002.
I remember a friend telling me that they always peak around the change of the decade - and for a long time that was how their results went. If you look at their wins they always seem to come between the 8-9 years and the 01-02 years of a decade. This run was upset a bit during the early 00's as Henry led them spectacularly, but since his departure they haven't really featured.
If history repeats then we're in for another golden run - and long may it continue. :D
gunners go one up !!!!!!!!!
A bit early to be saying Arsenal are the team to beat don't you think.
Come back to me at xmas and we will see. Tis a long season.
Still blind optimism has long been a gunners trait
A bit early to be saying Arsenal are the team to beat don't you think.
Actually Spork you said they are the team to beat 09/10 not atm.
Tofu they certainly are looking good, for an oscar, what with all the diving in the box this morning.
Still when you lack the firepower up front you have to be creative. P
No, not at all. They are looking good and will go from strength to strength. I expect that they'll beat ManU this round and will come more into some people's contentions, but if you are able to read the signs you will see that there's something special about this year's Gunners. :P
My goodness Spork you are a passionate supporter aren't you.
I was just giving Tofu a bit of stick. I was not saying that the are told to dive, jeez man lighten up.
As for the goal diff, it seems this year that a game against Everton will do wonders for that.
As I have already said it is a long season, and injuries can play a huge part in the end run, so hold off on the brash predictions for a bit yet eh
Prize money
UEFA awards €3 million to each team that qualifies for the UEFA Champions League, plus €2.4 million for participating in the Group stage. A Group stage win is worth €600,000 and a draw is worth €300,000.
In addition, UEFA pays each quarter finalist €2.5 million, €3 million for each semi-finalist, €4 million for the runners-up and €7 million for the winners. [2]
A large part of the distributed revenue from the UEFA Champions League is linked to the "market pool", the distribution of which is determined by the value of the television market in each country. For the 2008-09 season, both Manchester United and Bayern Munich, who reached the final and quarter-final respectively, earned more than Barcelona, who won the tournament.[3]
However, as I said, even if he did dive, by this stage, when diving has been around for so long, even though you can quite easily get penalised for it, I feel it is a part of the game. Just some people can pull it off better than others.
There are talks that apparently Rooney dived last night again The Gunners,
How come Ronaldo, Drogba and Gerrard are still allowed to play the game if Eduardo is going to be punished for a one off offence....
Do you still feel this way after this mornings game?
When people do keep going like Rooney they often get very irate the second or third foul and then get slated for having a temper.
Nice Own Goal Arsenal :P
Chelsea had a good win
It's an old chant, come up with by Tottenham fans I think. Mainly because they are classy, to do with the youth of the team - oh, and the raping of babies.
I would say if we play like that (mistakes aside) we will win at Man City. Just as we deserved to win at Man U.
I agree, was just saying to a mate who said we played like crap, which is a little bit true, we could have played a lot better but we out-played the other team, so thats all that matters,
You sound like a netball supporter "at least we won the third quarter" :)
This is sport how you played is irelevant it's the win that counts.
United will be pleased to have played so badly and still got 3 points
Punch your friend in the cock - Arsenal played very well. .booyeah nice when the ole gunners can still do something :rnr:
Fifa have banned Chelsea from registering any new players in the next two transfer windows.
Luckily we don't need anymore players because we are so leet atm
Chelsea are actually my second favourite team,
Arsenal was pretty shit tbh
especially on that bellamy run, on the counter their defence was in tatters
it shows how much the mis arshavin as well
to me he is the gun in their team
If we had a full strength team for most of the season, we could be quite good.
I would say if we play like that (mistakes aside) we will win at Man City. Just as we deserved to win at Man U.
Chelsea
LOL
is it an Arsenal trait to be so deluded? Your defence is as leaky as an 80 year old hooker
Deseved the red card I guess.
Thats the thing with football, you can get some nasty injuries.
Only fair that if Chelsea break the transfer rules they get punished.
Sounds like they are getting done pretty hard thou.
Wins for Arsenal and Liverpool today in the champions leauge - all good, thou expected.
Your team should be playing water polo with all the diving and handling
I notice you have not talked about the blatant hand ball that got your second goal.
Your team should be playing water polo with all the diving and handling
I have tickets for the Carling Cup game at the Emirates tonight.
Wahey! It's always good fun to see the wee lads have a decent shot. Here's hoping they have the bollocks.
I'm hopeful, yet realise how foolish I was saying such things before the Man City game. Yet with Senderos and Sly in defense, as questionable as both of them are (the latter makes me want to shit my pants), we should be relatively solid at the back.
I'll only have my extremely shit cellphone camera with me, but I'm sure I can take some very poor quality pics yeah.
Luckily I'm in row 4! So I wont have to zoom too much :D
Hmm, I guess throughout the season you might get lucky once or twice, but in general - not really no, at least not at Arsenal.
On the other hand, you *can* get say, a Fullham ticket for not much at all - so you could get one of those and watch Arsenal twice in a season :D
Yeah, but that's not so bad. As long as you keep yourself to yourself.
I sat in the away section for Arsenal v Porto last season - we trounced them 4-0. I was very very quiet when the fourth went in, I can assure you.

Tottenham v Burnley 5-0
Im stoked with liverpools rise in form
Bring on Chelsea this week
got a bet for a box of pures for this game and every other game where Chelsea meet Liverpool
Txt my mate after the wigan game
No response lol
What the hell!
Go the Spurs :rnr:
man u ftw
impressive comeback in last game
You drew with Moscow, at home.
You shouldn't need to make a comeback... :P
.
It's that sort of deluded thinking that lost you $1000 the other week :heheh:
I hope Arsenal lose..so you can pull your finger out Spork!
Go the Gunners! ;)
Long hair and short-short trousers >_<
the All Whites..they play the game. No Hollywood try-outs or anything just get up and go with itYep I enjoyed that bit as well. No nancy bs hollywood diving. The other guys though, thats a different story, they dived all over the place, should be a yellow card tbh. Its what puts me off watching football, but will watch to see how far the AW's go though. _b

Striker Kevin Doyle raged: "It is sickening. I am sure Henry did not expect to get away with it because it was so obvious.
"The linesman had the best view, apart from Shay Given.
"It is difficult. We are all gutted. You do not blame the player if he can get away with it. It's nearly a natural reaction."
I am sure Henry did not mean to handle the ball, and he surely expected to be caught.
Henry does not need to cheat to score and or set up goals.
It looked entirely intentional. He knew what he was doing. The man has no honour.Bloody pissy cheating French bastards. They're as sneaky at football as they are at Rugby.
Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite my arse.
Henry did apologise. Sometimes people do stupid things, it's human nature, he is a soccer player not a physician, he isn't the smartest person in the world. Of course he is going to do what is best for him at the time.
Or maybe it was a mistake, sure it looked to us like it was deliberate, and apparently he celebrated like he alone had won the WC for France. But you never know, it may well have been a mistake.
Ce sont des conneries.
Tu me fais chier. Un con, une conasse.
Stop apologising for him.
He cheated and knew what he had done (as he admitted after the game) so he is un morceau de merde; putain de merde!; and if you think it was accidental then vous avez le cervau d'un sandwich au fromage.
It was a despicable piece of play. He should have owned up at the time and now he will have to live with being branded a cheat.
Léche moi et fait moi jouir.
Mes couilles sur ton nez.
After reading your posts about this incident I am beginning to fear the Rob Muldoon was correct about New Zealanders who move to Oz raise the IQ of both countries.
I feel for the irish
they got a blind ref
just like when Barnsey missed the forward pass in the ABs vs France Semi
i think a lot of refs (no matter what the code is) are afraid to make the big calls
The fact that you can speak.. French I guess interests me highly, but it is like telling a deaf person a secret.
The fact that you can speak.. French I guess interests me highly, but it is like telling a deaf person a secret.
haha my French knowledge is un petite but Googling French insults was a joy ;)
just limit it to goals that are not without doubt. Simple.
Leave all other aspects of the game as it is.
TH, what a disgrace, he will cop alot of shit in SA next year, espesh if they make it along way through the tournament.
Nah not even penalties.
Just on a goal. Dont go over complcating and fucking up a game that is good the way it is. All they need is a eye on the goal.
You have to feel sorry for Ireland though, to lose, like that, and to miss out on the WC.
I would, but am used to it, what with how Aus were knocked out of the actual World Cup to Italy, who dove in a way that ronaldo, drogba, gerard, and eboue would be proud of.
Well that sucks, completely outplayed by Sunderland,
Sunderland are not to be underestimated. After all, they have won an FA Cup.
Go Chelsea this weekend
asking alot to win @ Emirates..
It pretty awesome that Wigan Athletic going to refund fans that travelled to see the 9-1 loss..
That little Fabagas prick wont be running through us like he did with Tottenham thats for sure!
Yea I will be staying out of this thread for at least a week. :P
First to say it.. Come on Man City this weekend!! :P
LOL don't you mean mid week.
Man City 3 Arsenal 0
Your team is on a roll
All Whites have Italy,Paraguay and Slovakia in there group for the World cup.
Not to bad.
England has also got a kindish draw - but hey it's the world cup and anything can happen!!
They seem to fire on these sorts of things. They will lift their game ten fold.
and its not like italy are playing like world champions at the moment
yeah but they love this sort of thing, the show ponies. They will lift their game ten fold.
OH BL CHELSEA lol
that save from given was awesome lol
Man u will be getting the premiership lead back very soon
fml.
Go liverpool
hahahaah Spork!! I like your way of thinking but its going to be hard to dislodge those top 2 teams
Im gonna go out on a limb and back barcelona to win CL this year
I think Chelsea will hold win the premiership, but only just
and Ill give the FA cup to Arsenal since their disappointment last year
that second goal was premier league like
http://tvnz.co.nz/football-news/auckland-make-history-in-fifa-club-world-cup-3246327/video
i hope they do well, it would be a bit of a fairy tale if they got to the final
@spork
be good to watch the gunners and liverpool this weekend
even though liverpool just crashed and burned in CL i hope they can peg back some spots in the epl
GO THE KOP
I see Auckland City are down 0-1 at half time to Atlante. I have no idea how that competition works, is it knock out?
Awesome to see Chelsea and Man City drew, and EVEN BETTER TO SEE THAT SCUM HAVE LOST!
To Wolves aswell, at home!
HAH.
Then Liverpool will lose tomorrow night, and the almighty gunners will be well and truly back in the race.
True hes talking bout Tottenham :P
But good to see Villa beat Man U just need Liverpool to smash that other scum.
Cant believe Chelsea and Everton
FIND YOUR OWN ABUSIVE NICKNAME TOTTENHAM
I wanna go see Phoenix vs Adelaide in CHCH in Jan
Then Liverpool will lose tomorrow night, and the almighty gunners will be well and truly back in the race.
Arshavin injured?
Almost as funny as the Burnley result
Which is almost as funny as the fact that liverpool got knocked out of the CL, and aren't looking too well for the EPL either.
Although Arsene Wenger did say he wants to buy in the January transfer window, I think Torres would fit in quite nicely at Arsenal, especially considering his close friendship with Fabregas! ;)
Man U got smashed and Poor Liverpool :(
Chelsea got West Ham should be a very intense game.
Man City vs Sunderland = game of week. 4-3 good to see lots of goals and a tight game
....and lost to Burnley and Chelsea!
i was meant to say Sunderland my bad but hey! 2nd looking good - think those Man U crew be on a comeback now. A Villa and Spurs are scaringly close
yeah they have that african cup thing ay? fark cant believe we drew to West Ham ffs. We have Arsenal again on 7th feb or something i think at Stanford this time
So do i. I just dropped some money on them at $6.50 to win the Premiership. If you know anything about Arsenal you'll know that this is the time when they shine.
I have tbh
Chelsea will win the premiership in a canter, they havent even hit top form yet
i think the battle for second will be very interesting though
what? Least they been draws at least - not losses. Im going for A.Villa with consistency and hopes but yeah we see tomorrow i guess :D
Since beating Arsenal, Chelsea have not won in the league - losing once and drawing four games.
By contrast the Gunners have had four wins and a draw.
We got you again in Feb should be interesting
haha i hope Cesc ends up on the bench with van persie :P
We got you again in Feb should be interesting
At this rate it will be a tight finish for fourth and that will be where the action is. Maybe Man u will push Chelsea
Was nice to be able to sit down and watch a game live. Myp2p FTW!!
True - I just had another look at the table. We are only half thru so plenty could change anyway. Man city manager was still saying they think they can win.
Man City are the goods when NOT playing Chelsea :P
Beat Chelsea that same week though..
And Man U are slaughtering Wigan as we speak..
They should have saved their energy for Leeds. :finger:
They should have saved their energy for Leeds. :finger:I've been a Leeds fan all my life and this is sooooo special!
I've been a Leeds fan all my life and this is sooooo special!
I've watched so many games where they've either sneaked a win or kicked our arses, so this feels so much like sweet, sweet revenge.
Happy, happy days!!!
Does anyone have any forums for which they download these games regularly? And are uploaded quickly?
I usually have to wait until late at night before it gets uploaded, which is annoying, especially for these Sunday night/ Monday morning games, as I work at 6.30 on Mondays.

I dont think its the FAs fault it snowed. The seasons are so busy it is going to be near the end of the season before you get it back probably
I woulda rather you'd play now and get it over with so we know where we at
I hate Russian Soccer Players.
Wouldnt trust em
Ivanovic is shit and Zhirkov rarely plays.
Thats all I see
Arshavin is Arsenal scum :P
Sucks bad for Arsenal then, as that means we have to play two catch up matches.
Fuckn liverpool lost to burnley LOL
man i need this season to end and pray for the next
Tofu - you got the top teams at end of jan
Tofu - you got the top teams at end of jan
Jeez, good game by the Phoenix tonight. :rnr:
Chelseaaaaa - 7-2 vs sunderland
Good to see Cesc back into it
yep
chelsea still have a game in hand but good to see Arsenal up there putting the pressure on
Arsenal now gotta push themselves to beat Chelsea, Man U, Villa, Sunderland, Liverpool in the space of a month to even maintain the top..
Dont worry the all mighty Blues will make sure they stay on top
Arsenal were a game down, and usually reasonably close to the top of the table even while being a game down, but no one ever said anything about that, and then I go to the EPL website, and the first thing I read is 'Arsenal go top, BUT CHELSEA ARE A GAME DOWN!!!!!!!!' :P
Easily beat Liverpool, should def beat Villa and Sunderland, Man U is at the Emirates, and we should have beaten them at Old Trafford, so that should be another win, and we will park the bus at the Bridge, and pull out a point, and then from there on we have a free run to the title.
Oh cheers man, that's really thoughtful that Chelsea will make sure Arsenal stay top. :)
Ignore Man U at your peril;)
I wish Real or Barca would hurry the hell up and buy Rooney already.
I wish Real or Barca would hurry the hell up and buy Rooney already.
I bet Arsenal is Stoked ;)

the Africans prob gna come and fuck it up for everyone!
Nice result :bounce: got to love it when fans boo a player then he sticks it up them
Arsesol Whinger didn't look happy
...:D
How 'bout those Vikings, eh? :finger:
The requisite week to hassle me about that has been and gone, sorry you missed out!
I must admit Spork if Fergie was on the other side I may well dislike him, as much as i dislike Asshene
I have to disagree that ALL of our players are weak bitches tho, that just sounds like sour grapes, every team has their princesses, as a matter of fact we just sold our biggest one last year;) Wouldnt call Giggs Scholes Fletcher Rooney Vidic Evra Van Der Sar etc weak in the slightest, nor overactors, Yes a few players do overact, but so do a few in every team
Used to hate the likes of Keown, Parlour etc, back in the early 00's when a Man U v The Arse game was the highlight of the season, still is for me in many ways, which is why I enjoy a win over them so much, Tho funnily enough i do respect them, for their longevity, and SOME of their players over the years, Bergkamp, Henry, Vieira, Adams....
Anyway ill leave you to your bitterness now:) Hey at least you're not Tottenham
Yea, it is all sour grapes, I'm sick of bloody losing to Chelsea and Man U.
The two highlighted players are two of the biggest weak bitches, when it's all going their way it's fine, but any chance they get when things don't go as planned, they go running to the ref.. Well actually I'm not sure so much about Rooney, but definitely Evra. he is my most hated player.
But yea, none of them compare to Ronaldo, I still remember that game against us, where something didn't go right, and he had a massive cry, threw his toys, cradle, and pram away.
The requisite week to hassle me about that has been and gone, sorry you missed out!
I knew you'd be fragile so i waited until wrist-slashing day was well gone. :P
I can't stand Arsenal but am hoping they win or at least draw
I sense pain for you Spork against Chelsea.Drogba is back.
I wanna see Fabregas and Drogba have a punch up...
Chelsea chelsea wherever u may be dont leave ur wife with john terry his dad deals coke . And his mum steals tea .he cried when he missed a penalty chelsea chelsea wherever u may be . Dont leave us wife with john terry he cannot shoot and he cant f****g pass but he'll take your mrs right up the arse .
2-1 OVER MCITY WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Cech
A. Cole - J terry - Carvalho - Ivanovic
Deco - Lampard - Ballack - Malouda
Drogba - Anelka
Chelsea 2 arsenal 0
So arsenal have lost 2 vs Man u and 2 vs Chelsea now.
Arsenal Vs liverpool on wednesday so if they lose that they will be looking behind not forward for the rest of the season
As predicted Drogba the arse nemesis strikes again twice.Must have been a heart breaker when he scored in the first ten minutes.Arse Wenger will still claim they are the best team in the league though.
Go Liverpool for third !!
yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
lol we still on top tho, everton are our kryptonite...man city to take u out :P
I would give you 27 points from that. Thou if you did beat Man City I would be happy. I pick Burmingham to give you some trouble
Still looks like a good run home.
I'm a bit grumpy about Liverpools loss but is was always a big game.
I'm no longer bothered about this season. It's only February yet I am looking forward to August already.
Sounds like you have gotten yourself bothered again Spork.
A sucker for punishment
watch out for stoke
they love pulling out the big upsets those assholes
Keep putting the hex on them Lol
And it looks like Sol Campbell will be back to help win the title. :rnr:
Yes, your Goal Keepers suck.
That minties moment was classic :P
Nice work Everton!
I was thinking they would trouble Man u, but they went out and kicked there ass
LOL good work everton
you slayed those whores
Put arsenal back in striking distance for second.
I'm Just hoping Liverpool can beat Man City this morning. Not feeling too confident about this one, thou liverpool have had better form of late.
Continue the weekend domanace of Liverpool over Manchester
I'm hoping for either a Liverpool win or a draw.
I really do hope Man City don't make the top 4 this year.
Man City are the goods this year though..Almighty Chelsea got em this weekend
wasnt really a loss - its a tie and we go to Stanford next
Great game today.. Miss Peter Cech already tho, new goalkeeper is shit.
It was always going to be messy with the whole Bridge vs Terry saga.
Lampard is still the man
Oh man.
That was a shocker of a tackle, looked to me far worse than Eduardo's.
Shawcross against Aaron Ramsey, don't believe it was at all meant to be aggressive, however I believe Ramsey will be out for at least six months, judging by previous similar injuries, and probably more likely out for a year. Thank God he is young, and will recover eventually from this injury.
Shawcross - who was sent straight off, walked off the field crying! Most of the players on the field looked as if they had just emerged from a Harry Potter scene with deatheaters or what ever those things were called.
Very very very disgusting photos below. Well if you don't like leg breaks, do not open the link in the spoilers.
Good night/ Good morning everyone. I am tired as.http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/742203/HORROR-INJURY-FOR-RAMSEY-AT-STOKE.html
Either way im happy because it is great viewing and it should always be this close.
Arsenal win vs Stoke?
Yea man, 3-1
AS I say in above quote, Shawcross was sent off for a horrible horrible tackle on Ramsey, possibly out for 18 months.
But we won, after going down to them in the 8th minute thanks to a bloody Delap throw in.
Equalized through an awesome header, then we got a penalty in the 89th minute, then there was 7 minutes of injury time (because of the Ramsey injury) and Vermaelan finished it off in the 94th I think.
The whole squad formed a huddle or what ever (group) in the middle of the field at the end of the game, made them look like one hell of a team.
Title race is well and truly up for the taking now.
You just hate to see injuries like that, regardless of team or allegiance, Ramseys only 19 too, hopefully he can come back
The tackle looked pretty late, like you say not intentional imo, just late, he looked pretty distraught about it all too, genuinely so.
It is. Arsenal have got their destiny in their own hands for the next month or so. The toughest match (on paper) is a trip to White Hart Lane to take on the Yids. Chelski have to travel to Old Trafford to play the scum and i can't see them winning that.
And i think they may get tripped up Aston Villa as well, as they're not playing good enough football to be assured of victory at the moment.
As for the scum they have a reasonable run, with the home game against Chelski to give them some concerns. At this point they are probably favourites, but anything can happen in the run home.
Go Arsenal! :rnr:
Not sure if Man U winning the CC is a good or bad thing, one way to look at it is Man U have won so much, that another trophy means nothing. Also, the way the O'neill has been acting and talking lately, I am happy that he didn't win it, as he would act as if he just won the Champs League.
But now Man U will have even more confidence, which is not a good thing.
I can't believe how the media have put this against Wenger, and saying that Ramsey's leg broke BEFORE Shawcross even made contact with him. Gah I wish the media weren't such idiots sometimes.
^^^ someone posted a new thread about this in off topic a couple of weeks ago with a very good site to find live streams.
I agree that Arsenal are not being targeted, or I hope they aren't, but I've seen some people say that it's the English way and if these "foreigners don't like the way the English game is played, they should go back to their own leagues. which is stupid as if these 'Foreigners' never came o Englan, the EPL would not be anywhere near what it is today. Shawcross' tackle was in no way malicious, it was badly timed and very clumsy, and that is far from an excuse, he should get something at least like a 5 match ban and Stoke should receive a hefty fine for it.
Build a Bridge then fuck it
^&^ Looked 50/50 to me
The person who commited the foul certainly was STOKED with his challange
this is the first time I have seen it and it is very unfortunate
even if he does come back he will never be the same player mentally or physically
thats whats premier league though, you have to go hard for the ball no matter what
thats what your paid to do, unfortunately you might just snap or get your leg snapped trying to do it
Go Wigan! :rnr:
Haha, with both Gerry and Torres in the team. How embarrassing.
6 red cards for one team!
BL phoenix
that handball goal really changed the tide of the game
I hope melbourne kick sydneys as next week
Phoenix started playing better after they equalized 1-1. I don't know what the usual punishment is but if the ref saw it you would think it would be red card and 10 v 11 for the rest of the game. The Henry one vs Ireland was definitely red card if seen IMO.
Imagine the roasting he would have got if it was a home game.
A-league could be a good testing ground for fifa for TV refs for this sort of thing.
Yes - Go Melbourne
it changed the whole tone of the gameThis is interesting - I listed to a lot of debate over it on the way back from Hamilton on Sunday and watched it live.
after that the phoenix started pushing forward when they needed to score and thats when the holes appeared and brosque started opening them up
Go the victory !
I was going to say that about the handball not being intentional, but really only the player knows if he knew the ball would hit his arm. However iknew rat I wouldbe sand blasted for even suggesting it.
I wonder what your response would be if it happened to your beloved Arsenal?
Still it didn't look delliberate, but common sense would say if you got an advantage from your handling the ball then it sould be a free kick to the opposition
Dont worry Red
You guys will probably be signing Torres very soon and then you guys will be unstoppable
I pick Burmingham to give you some trouble
@Spork -Back from when you made your prediction, how is the 32 points going?
Still Liverpool manage to loose the most "sure thing" games - at least they had another win - will be hard work for them to make top 4 now, still do able.
And re-the name changes - I never figured out how to say Runing's name anyway- is it Running or 'Rune'ing ??
team that wins this weekend will take it out i'd say
Messi > Arsenal
Never mind spork hopefully my struggling Liverpool team can do you a favour and beat chelsea
Its a very very very long shot though
Messi > Arsenal
Never mind spork hopefully my struggling Liverpool team can do you a favour and beat chelsea
Its a very very very long shot though
It was a Messi game alright.
Oh well Spork all is not just yet there is stil an outside chance of the EPL
Same with the EPL, I do not mind how it goes from here, we have put in a lot, and it's been a great season so far, not just for us, for everyone, there are battles for every single position on the ladder.
So much for the EPL being the strongest league in the world huh
So much for the EPL being the strongest league in the world huh
It definitely is, look at La Liga, the top two teams have dominated, apart from them, everyone else is something like 30 points below.
Then you look at the EPL, when it's considered a break away when the top three teams are 4 or more points up on the rest.
Hahaha
Those two teams would also dominate the EPL.
The reason the EPL is close this year is nobody really hit top gear this time round, I mean Arsenal let in 5 goals and scored NONE by a bunch of so called dickheads.
Anyway bring on the World Cup, I guess you lot will be backing England to lift it
Anyway bring on the World Cup, I guess you lot will be backing England to lift it
My English Ancestry forces me to back them but my top 3 teams are ......
1. Spain
2. Argentina
3. Netherlands
Good on Liverpool for carving Benfica up this morning in Europa League. We might get a trophy after all :)
Virtual will be doing a comp for the cup so we should all make sure we sign up, big time bragging rights to the winner for 4 years
Im in, post the link in this thread when its up
Both my teams just got knocked off top of their respective leagues...
Bloody Drogba and his offside goal =P
In regards to the Champions League, Barca v Inter will be a better match than the final by far. Barca will end up winning it though imo
portsmouth getting relegated but in FA cup final? Wtf anyone?
Hey all our new friends, see a post of mine above regarding the virtual football comp. I have started an GetSome group so join up for bragging rights.
Chelsea for the double!!!!
Damn United out on away goalsI remember when that was more likely :(
Will have to console ourselves with the premiership title now

I <3 Timmy.
I have been tempted to get a TC 17 Everton top, probably in their away colours, which are pretty cool TBH.
Wear that when ever Arsenal are doing badly.... :P
Hahahahaha wowee concede 3 goals in 11 minutes to lose _b
made my morning
I'm watching the Lyon v Bayern match instead, why wouldn't you :P
I dunno what happened with Barca's match, IDC what happens both my teams are out lol but I hope the next game brings the Total score within a goal of each other
7-0 !!!
Was a little worried we might slip up against Stoke.
Bring on the scousers
So was my dad haha. I dont care if Chelsea win i just dont want Man U to :)

Want a beating?
I'd have a little more confidence in liverpool to do it against Chelsea if Torres wasn't out :(
On another note, ROONEY!!!!
http://www.3news.co.nz/Rooney-voted-best-player-by-English-league-pros-/tabid/415/articleID/152776/Default.aspx
Liverpool will be up for it i reckon
we need to win to have a chance of playing europa league next season
I need Manchester City to beat Aston Villa and then liverpool to beat Chelsea
as much as I hate seeing Man U walk away with another title I want liverpool to finish on a high
In no way do I hope for Man U to win the title, while I really do not care who wins it, I prefer Chelsea to win it.
Blackburn beating arsenal? :D
<3 blackburn
Hopefully Wenger gets fired this time for another season of no silverware :D
Good good, Spurs have fourth.
Hopefully....
they might get 3rd if you lot don't get your shit together
Well done Redknapp.
8-0 fucking BOOM. What a way to end it.
Lets be honest, All Whites will cake. I'll be very surprised if they get 1 point.
not after that drubbing of wigan... unless drogba throws a tanty for 90 minutes
Quote from: jezR;12636528-0 fucking BOOM. What a way to end it.

Much like what I think will happen to the All Blacks next year.
South Africa/England will take the cup.
The difference with the All Whites is that expectations are lower so there won't be as much domestic abuse surrounding their losses....
Seeing as we broke the EPL record for goals this season 4-1 To the mighty blues
3 or minus 3?
Hopefully Portsmouth score those three first! Then it goes into the second half of extra time and chelsea score the 9.
what about 3-3? Portsmouth in penalties.
You keep saying that.
They might rise to the occasion but somehow I can't see it.
Chelsea are going for the double, the first time in the club's history and only the 11th time that a team has managed it. Somehow I think they will be well up for it
Barca are taking anything and everything...they huntin Fabregas
I bet you have your fingers crossed its just all talk.Losing Fabregas would be a huge blow for the Arse.
Can someone explain to me again WHY Chelsea got rid of Jose Mourinho.Clash of personalities apparently .... Jose and Roman didn't see eye to eye! You have to admit he may be a great coach but he's an arrogant s.o.b.!
What was the video about? UEFA got it taken down.

Man U vs Chelsea for Community Shield tomorrow.. gl Chelsea :P
Quote from: R3DM@N;1296170Man U vs Chelsea for Community Shield tomorrow.. gl Chelsea :P
Hah...
Meh, I wouldn't attach any importance to that at all eh. Better to get off to a winning start sure, but no one gives a damn. If I were Chelsea I'd be more confused as to why during the pre-season most of the first teamers have seen so little action.
Or am I missing something?
Well, theres the reserve leagues which run all season.
Most teams use the pre-season as a chance to get their senior players up to speed and mix them in with younger players who look to have potential.
Chelsea just seem to be flunking the games by populating them with all reserves and under. I mean, perhaps the senior players were off in some other form of fitness camp, or camps - and Chelsea were just fulfilling contractual obligations they have with their affiliates by throwing whoever happened to be around at the games.
It's probably worth noting though, that Manchester United played plenty of senior team players in games during their tour of the States - and certainly looked a shit load sharper than Chelsea did.
But then again, it's not like they struggled to beat some no-mark Polish side in a display which seems to define them as a team so very starkly.
I'm hearing that Frimpong will play DM, with Wilshire and Nasri in CM - and that Flappy will start in goal.
To which I say - erm.
I'm picking Joe Cole to not do much at all, then get injured for 8 months.^ ROFL

I hope Liverpool come second. I like Liverpool a lot more than any other of the bigger teams. (top 6 do we have now?)
I suppose it comes down to consistency and who can keep a fit squad throughout the season
This lead to Arsenal's demise last year with Fabregas and Van Persie being out for a lot of the games
Chelsea and ManU have great squads and Sir Alex does a really good job at managing his team over the whole year
I think we will do much better now that there is a new coach
All the players that were involved in personal battles with Rafa benitez have been sent on their way
Really looking forward to the games this weekend
especially monday
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3093647/Manchester-City-are-ready-to-make-Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-a-50000-a-week-deal.html
Man I hope they do sign Ibra, and then I really do hope City fails epicly this season, and the owner leaves them halfway through the season, and they crash and fucking burn. Straight down to league 3.
Good stuff Phoenix. Even though it was in a swamp... :Dwe should have won that match tbh 3-1 lead. oh well unbeaten record still intact haha
i cant believe Chelsea scored 12 goals in 2 games.
is so bs
but some of them were quality.
Haha.
Holy crap - How SHIT are Liverpool looking? That was fucking dire. Old Woy might realise a flat 4-4-2 is dead at the highest level for a reason. Not that they showed any sort of passion or desire to win it. Awful.
City looked good for the most part - but how the hell would you know? They were never tested.

You're going to be waiting a long time then.
beat the f***ers
I have been hoping for that to happen! Would be fucking hilarious, and a big fuck you to Mancini.
But TBH, I do not think that will happen, I mean we all hoped Abramovich would fuck off, but he is still at Chelsea.
Although I guess the difference between Chelsea and Man City is Chelsea actually won stuff.
I've got nothing BUT time..

I love walks on the beaches, sand through my hair and connecting at an high level of chemistry

Yea, TBH, Man U is Man U, they could lose all their group games and still qualify somehow.
Chelsea have only been in the CL since like 03 or what ever though haven't they? :P
My mate has a theory that Chelsea always get knocked out by the champions.
I always emphasise on the 'Chelsea always get knocked out' part as well. :)
If you lose to Blackpool, I will deposit $5 in your bank.
:P
I would LOVE for Blackpool to stay as high up as possible for as long as possible.
Although they really are the Wolves of 2010.
Ah, I was thinking of Hull, not Wolves.
I dislike both of those teams as much as each other. Mick Mccarthy is a dick, and Phil Brown as well.
Bloody Berbatov.
Cmon Liverpool Wigan and Blackpool!!
Fuck Darren Bent.
Yeah he's on fire. Had a mate in the UK who was pissed that they basically took Berba instead of Tevez. I knew then who I'd rather have, and that hasn't changed. Tevez is thick as fucking mud - and he's a pretty good forward, but Berba has mad skillz.
Berbatov was amazing tbh. His second goal was fantastic :)
we dont need one guy when we got a team full of strikers :P
Malouda is basically a striker :P
Haha, what like trying to buy Ronaldo back?
I liked Beckham quite a lot, although I didn't really follow soccer much abck then, one or two games a season maybe.
I hated Ronaldo, especially for that huuuuuuugee free kick he scored against us in the CL semi final.
Good work you Gunners...
Bollocks - the team can play perfectly fine without Fabregas.
What we cannot do, and should never ever do again - is play a midfield of Eboue, Song and Diaby. A combined IQ of 17.
WBA were fucking awesome in every part of the pitch, they totally deserved it and played The Arsenal off the park. They were just as good, as we were bad - and we were very very bad indeed.
And I see that Man U had another Draw! What a fucking weekend.
Is that a joke? A game with three penalty's and 4 goals, the electrics failing and some awesome skills on display wasn't as awesome as a really, really mundane Chelsea barely summoning up the arse to be bothered getting a couple of goals?
I just presumed he was troll baiting me
Well done Chelsea. :D
Great strike from Alex to seal it.Drogba was the usual thorn in the arse.
I still hate Man Citeh
Well the 15th of october is a big day for Liverpool. We will see if RBS take liverpool of the yanks hands and look for new owners
It seems the fans and the players want them out. This would be great if we could get some decent investment before the January transfer window
the yanks are running the club into the ground just like Leeds United
heres hoping for the best

Is there anything behind this Giggs thing? I never knew it was even on the cards. Could be interesting.
A few of the usual tabloids saying that Giggs wants to take over from Fergie once he steps down.
No idea if there is anything behind it, and well my only sources are TheSun and Goal.com so...
yeah hopefully
I was sceptical about having more americans running the club but from what I have RED they seem to have a good relationship with their fans in boston
its a start
better than those other two tossers
Glaziers need to go next lol
yeah tell me about it
I love the the Man U v Liverpool battle
it began before all this big spending bullshit came along
just two teams that hate eachother and have no better joy than getting one up on the other

WTF
Chelsea are a mighty club with the history to prove it
History is down to loyalty of the fans not how many cups/titles won. Try telling fans of some of the lesser clubs that their team has no history.Clubs are nothing without supporters.
There were too many to fit in on my monitor but here is some of the trophies
Some small list.
Why do you think the New American Heroes being hailed as Saviours will be dramatically different from the Old American Heroes being hailed as Saviours?
I suppose they'd be hard pressed to be worse?
Also, Uncle Woy is out of his depth.
Ok, but please understand that your inevitable ruin continues, and I hope, will do so for a long time, to please me greatly.

Tevez is a Man City man, they are all moaning bitches, especially Adebayor.
However, Tevez was not happy at United, so I do think it was the right decision to sell him.
You can keep someone against their will, it's called a contract - and indeed, you *should*, else what point of a contract is there?
Depends on the personality of the player of course. Fabregas didn't get his move, but remains a quality professional who gives his all for the club. Could you say the same of Rooney? I doubt it.
Well, pretty much my point yeah.
No point in enforcing contract to have him worth nothing in 18 months might as get some dosh now and move on.
Seems very odd given his previous statements about wanting to stay obviously feels a move else where with fresh hookers will help his personal life.
lol@spurs.
That is why I was happy for the Spurs to be in the CL, because I knew they would do nothing.

easy games coming up against Blackburn
Quote from: SteddieEddie;1324367easy games coming up against Blackburn
Oh yea, that worked out well for you. :P
Both Arsenal and Chelsea were very lucky to take full points from their games tonight.
Also, FUCK YEA WOLVES!
Come on you Spurs, there is hardly I game where I allow myself to support such a filthy team, but this is one of them.
What's the first rule of sport?
Play the whistle.
Sweet justice lol
I just saw the Nani goal... WTF Gomes?
What was the controversy about? Was it meant to be a free kick for Gomes?
Wasn't it a handball by Nani? Didn't the assistant ref call him over? What sort of conversation did they have? How did the ref let it be a goal?
Don't post articles from the Sun, as though they're Gospel dude :P
Eduardo is one of my favourite players, and it is great to see him scoring, as he was lacking goals pretty badly at Arsenal.
Sad to see him go, but if it means he gets more game time, and hopefully closer to what he was looking like pre injury, then it is for the best.
EDIT: The reception that Eduardo got at the Emirates was awesome, I was talking to a family friend who lives in England and he said when Eduardo scored, there was a bigger cheer than most of the time when an Arsenal player scores.
Yea, not going to stop us going through, small chance of us dropping to second place, which to me isn't a bad thing. I would prefer to be drawn against Man U or Barca in the early stages rather than the late.
I had a horrible feeling that Liverpool would beat us, they have certainly turned their season around
Chelsea has got the mad team full of all those half past midnights. Malouda, Kalou, Drogba, Essien, Ramirez all of them r fuckin class
Im jumping to chelski with the brothers LOL!
Hold on a sec there Bruv.............Quote from: maorifulla;1312339

its all good, Chelsea can have second instead
Wow I was totally blown away at the result today for Liverpool
absolutely stoked
Chelsea fans boo'ing, because they're....first in the table...cunts.
Yes Spork, Fabregas a.k.a Arsenal
beautiful cross ball from ashley cole.
neva mind chelsea, we got beat by stoke :(

When Chelsea lost - thousands of fans boo'ed their own team. Now, it's no uncommon, but I feel that even if Chelsea lost, they are still sitting at the top of the table, and that support would've been more constructive then boo'ing them off the field. It's symptomatic of a sense of entitlement.
Feel so bad for Peter Cech, hes the absolute best Goal Keeper in the world
Word up, if you can't score - at least scone them in the fucking face.
See: Diaby - John Terry CC final 2008 (?)
Fuck you son.+1 :D
The only positives I can draw is that Cashley Hole didn't play and Malouda never got injured.
Anyone know why England managers can't use umbrellas?
I just watched the England France game and at the start of the telecast one of the presenters said the reason why capello didn't use an umbrella because of 'you know who doing you know what you know when'
I do not know.
Haha, love it. You have a fine turn of phrase.
I think Martin Samuel in the Mail does pretty good footy articles all in all. I hate The Sun 'newspaper' and always have. I do like the shamelessly bad puns they use in their headlines though.
(Hang on, did you just use a restaurant analogy?)
:)

No he isn't, he's a pretty awesome left back though :) Maybe that's why he left Arsenal, because you kept playing him out of position.
jks :)
On another note..

Is it me or does it look like Carlo is trying to curl one out the back door?
^
How the fuck can you throw away a two goal lead.. At home. To the Spurs?
Well, I guess you purposely handball IN THE FUCKING PENALTY BOX.
Seriously, how exactly did either Cesc or Chamakh think they would get away with that? I mean, if you handball in the box, it's not as if we live in the 50s where there are no instant replays.
I do blame Cesc for losing.
Faarrk. I was supposed to my sky that game to. 3-2 to Spurs LOL thats got to hurt.
TBH, It's not just that Spurs beat us, it's also that if we had won, we would have actually gone top of the table, considering Chelsea also lost.
But IT WAS AT FUCKING HOME
Seriously, WTF is with out home record this season? Absolute shit.
I mean, I woke up yesterday, and power spewed at last twenty times throughout the day, and TBH, I would prefer to do that agian, especially as one of my mates is a Spurs fan. >.>
EDIT:
We are still only two points from the top though I guess.
If we do not win anything this season, I think there are going to be quite a lot of angry fans.
Oooo, if you were here I would totally punch you in the face. Then, I would totally piss on your face, and then like, I would totally like, I dunno, shit on your hands and make you walk into a bank and take out 10000.
Tottenham beat Arsenal at home for the first time in 17 years. Automatically Arsenal are 'shit' - such are the vagaries of football.
You don't mean that.
Just because everyone else isn't improving doesn't mean I should be happy with Arsenal being SHIT.
I'd prefer to be a Liverpool supporter in moments like these.
Jose is awesome, the Premiership is a poorer place without him.
Now I hate Man U but i'm stoked Rooney just scored :)
Quote from: camy205;1335517Now I hate Man U but i'm stoked Rooney just scored :)

Just adds to the fun
Most of what he said is right, we could lose the game but what are the chances of Arsenal being there at the end of the season?
Should be a good game will be staying home to watch it
Gay.
I blame the ref, I mean he gives a penalty against Clichy when the ball is kicked into his hand (LOL@ROONEY) but not against who ever when they tripped Chamack in the box when he was about to head the ball in??
Howard Webb gave some damn horrible decisions both ways.
I do not actually blame the ref, because even if the ref was corrupt, then it's still the team's fault for not giving enough.
It was the pitches fault. LOL
Arsène Wenger can never just take a loss on the chin.
Arsène Wenger can never just take a loss on the chin.
Man, why would you want Tevez? The guy is mentally unstable and obviously thick as fuck. He'd triple your wage bill, and claim homesickness after 2 months.
Just watching the game again, how the hell was that a penalty? I'm not bitter because obviously it was missed, but it's just ridiculous that a 60 year old assistant ref can give such a penalty when he probably can't even see that far. Also, I think the FA should have to explain every penalty decision during the week, how can they justify that? He was holding himself up, he did even try to move his hand away, but obviously the weight of Clichy's body was too great, as his movement was not much more than a jerk.
Also, on review, that was a pretty darn good goal from Park, it does look as if he did react well to the deflection, and moved his head enough to direct it toward goal, which may not have really been enough, but in the end, it was.
Quote from: Wandarah;1341277Man, why would you want Tevez? The guy is mentally unstable and obviously thick as fuck. He'd triple your wage bill, and claim homesickness after 2 months.
I'd take 2 months.
Lets be honest, there's plenty of players that fall into the 'thick as fuck' bucket. Triple the wage bill? at Chelsea? I doubt it. Tevez is a great player, no question surely you're not arguing that, but yea he's clearly tricky to manage,
But if Chelsea sold Drogba who would win them the Oscars for best dive? :P
Quote from: LeadCollector;1341988But if Chelsea sold Drogba who would win them the Oscars for best dive? :P
Maybe the honours will be passed over to Arsenal, more so Chamakh, I swear everytime he is in the box he dives.

Get in!!! Chelsea get lucky. Yea all over for the Gooners, Spurs might not find Milan that easy either.
Hmm Inter v Bayern might be a good game too.
Come on Marseille!!!!

Now this dude, he is a champion. Both arms broken when weights fell on his arms, but that doesn't stop him.
Read The Guardian, The Telegraph and the Independent. No point reading tabloids.
All Wenger said, after a tackle that broken a players leg was that it was a bad tackle, and unacceptable. What the fuck is this cunt crying about? Seriously?
The league is ours to be won, once MAN U crumble as they will inevitably do.
The league is ours to be won, once MAN U crumble as they will inevitably do.
I know, so all we need to do is wait, and when they do, as they always do, Arsenal will pounce.
Say that when Arsenal are on top with 5 point lead and one week in hand :P

Ah, the brilliance of The Sun.
Someone forgot to tell City that they have played two more games than everyone else.
AH, of course, they will probably pay someone to erase the other two games that the rest of the table need to play.
Also, yes, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.
Same old Fergie, always crying, I swear when ever he loses he always blames the ref, or the grass, or the temperature, or the ball, or what ever else he can think of.
;)

I think if Mancini ever retires he could become a large vehicle driving instructor, because City demonstrated perfectly how to park the bus in that game.
when are they gonna get rid of the cunt hodgson
Liverpool needs an overhaul. get rid of the useless eggs like konchesky, kuyt, skrtel and even Torres.

Keep Kuyt! get rid of all mentioned above bar Kuyt and for fuck sake ship Lucas back to Brazil, Ngog to the moon and give Babel 5 games to return to the form he was originally bought for.
Torres although still rated one of the best in the world has mental issues or hates the club! Since his injury so holds back from challenges, doesnt chase loose ball and pulls out of half decent opportunities :(
Would like to see who they target for the transfer window before deciding on Hogdson. He inherited a bunch of over paid under skilled twats and has not had a real opportunity to build the team he would ideally like. Based on the performances of the 11 on the field if Hodgson can keep us out of relegation then I hink he should be knighted as I would say even Sir Alex would struggle to keep Liverpool up this season.
Maybe if we mix Chelsea with Liverpool we could get 1 decent team out of it

Hmm.
Man U V Spurs.
Man U wins, it is going to be difficult to not have them win the title.
Spurs win and Man City will go top legitimately I think, and NOBODY wants that.
EDIT: HMm, actually no this game tonight is the first game which Spurs can win and I will be fine with it. Ever.
If Spurs win now, and Arsenal beat stoke in the game which was postponed, then we will be top.. If Man U lose their game to whom ever... Blackpool?

Yet united are still unbeaten, can't see them slipping up but hey you never know
Lol Spork
Man U's away form has been poor, unbeaten means fk all and it won't last. They will get beat at the bridge
There, I said it.
Bless you
Hell yes, great weekend of results. Only bad thing is United won! :P
Second now, so all we can hope is that one team will beat United before we do.
nice to always be in your thoughts spork:):)
Thought both our teams put in a good performance tbh, good results, at the time theyre needed
as long as Chelsea take 3rd i'll be happy - get rid of Man Shitty
Im hoping we get Luis Suarez withing the next 48 hours. He will be a nice partner for torres and can also play back up for pepe reina in goal LOL
What about this for a tackle.Ban this filthy prick from the game. They say poorly timed but I think he timed it perfectly for what he was trying to do. Reminds me of Roy Keane. He has history of this shit to.
Video

Dude almost had to amputate his leg FFS.No place for cocks like this in the game.
Was it foolhardy of Ian Holloway to take off a midfielder and stick on a striker (Marlon Harewood no less) when Man Utd started to come back. Most managers of lesser clubs would have tried to park the bus but no, not Ian, he went for it. Good on him, pity his team were all out of Steam by then.
Had Man U on the ropes there for a good while and could have done Chelsea a massive favour.
Also in the news Andy Gray sacked for being....well Andy Gray really....no more annoyingly piss poor commentary from that twat for FIFA 12 then YAY!! I think I'll have a pint or 2 to celebrate.
Yea done deal Suarez, looks like Chelsea's bid for Luiz has hit a wall but Torres asks Liverpool to reconsider.... wtf... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1351387/Fernando-Torres-asks-Liverpool-consider-Chelseas-audacious-35m-bid.html
Shawcross
yeah Torres has handed in a transfer request. People are going off on the Liverpool Forums but I see it as an opportunity.
Torres doesnt look happy and is under performing at l'pool at that moment and maybe we should get the maximum amount being offered by Roman at the moment (45 million pounds)
i reckon we use that money to buy Ashley Young from Villa, Charlie Adam from Blackpool, Shawcross from Stoke and save some funds for summer and making a bid on another top class striker e.g Aguero or Lukaku
I think they are trying the grab sturrage as part of the deal but maybe play some hardball and get Anelka + 40 mill LOL. I reckon roman is that desperate
LFC will move on from this
I just read on the daily mail that Torres will be released to Chelsea for 50 million + Anelka
Im pretty happy with that. Anelka is no mug and 50 Mill can be used to strengthen our squad. I can see good days ahead.
Get Anelka and Luis Suarez up front for stoke and lets the fun begin
Im moved on from that traitor sook whore torres LOL
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=le+sulk
LOL
Fernando who??
Alonso?
Or that nub who plays for Barca? Isn't there a Fernando over there? Surely there must be.
Alonso?
Or that nub who plays for Barca? Isn't there a Fernando over there? Surely there must be.
Should have taken the money from Chelsea then broken Torres right leg.
egos aside.
May be the sticking point
got Carroll from Newcastle for 35mill this morning. Bit much but gotta replace Torres the fairy
but apparently Carroll and Suarez may not be fit for the game on monday at Stamford Bridge
I want skrtel to kick torres's face in
BREAKING TRANSFER NEWS: I have just moved from the sofa to my bed!!
@jack_wilshere hahahaha well done and me i moved from my living room to my kitchen
Ouch, I really don't think Torres would be good at Chelsea..
Actually, he will dominate, but I was hoping Chelsea will be relegated sometime soon. :P
That Suarez looks awesome, although pointing to/ kissing the badge.. Hate it when players do that, Cesc was doing it last season in the midst of the Barca crap, I was convinced that he was going to leave then.
There is no love lost between Arsenal and Barcelona over the Cesc Fabregas affair.
That's why it is always a bit galling for Arsenal supporters to hear how Barcelona's member system - where the fans all co-own the club - is the model of how a club should be run.
Now, Arsenal fans have even made their point to Government - and urged them to get involved should Barcelona start sniffing around Fabregas again this summer. Imagine that - a Government inquiry into the Fabregas transfer. Well, sort of.
The Arsenal Supporters' Trust made a presentation to a Select Committee of MPs making a report to Government on how clubs should be run and good governance within football.
Tim Payton, of the AST, said: "Arsenal fans are sick of hearing Barcelona promoted as a role model of how a club should be run.
"Barcelona is owned by its supporters but sadly this does not mean they act with any decorum or in the long-term interests of the game.
"Not only do they blatantly tap up other club's players, they do so using funds generated from excessive debt or television deals that distort the Spanish league.
"This inquiry is a good opportunity to demonstrate that good governance is not just how a club is owned, but how it behaves.
"The AST has asked the Parliamentary committee to raise this issues with Uefa and make sure that in future football's rule book is applied to Barcelona as much as any other club."
The MPs visited the Emirates on Tuesday and even heard from Arsène Wenger on how clubs should be run.
The AST is a shining example as it allows supporters to part-own shares, have a say on club matters and be represented at board level.
Image no worky for me.
I am only for it if the flow of the game is kept, no sitting around waiting for decisions, 30 seconds max on a goal ruling sort of thing. Offside im not such a huge fan of that being video reffed, need to keep a bit of the human element to it, and that means there will be far too many stoppages in the end.
As for the Man U boo boys.....tissue?
:)
Arsenal's only major problem is defence, at the moment we have Vermaelan out injured, Squillaci suspended for three games, Koscielny one yellow card away from being suspended, and Djourou is our only CB who has no issues except for the fact that up until recently he has been more injury prone than RVP.
Cant wait either maori! Altho cant watch it because work :(
We often talk about this issue, and almost every week in the EPL there are huge decisions made by officials, which are shown, literally seconds later to us on our television sets as the wrong decision.
My biggest gripe about this is not whether decisions go against my team(Although a nuisance) but the huge amounts of money which hinge on these decisions.
How can a game (which sees transfer fees of £50 million for one player and many teams with much of their squads earning £100K+ per week) continue to be officiated in such an archaic fashion?
People will argue that overall, the wrong decisions that go for you and against you probably even out over a season, but such decisions can mean the difference between a team winning a championship, or perhaps more devastatingly, getting relegated.
West Brom have had three or four clear cut penalties denied in the last month which could have a massive impact on their season. Arsenal conceded a ludicrous offside goal against Everton in the week, which was discussed at length by a referee and the assistant and still given wrongly in Evertons favour. A referee doing his job properly today, would have a little word in Bartons ear early in the first half about his over exuberant tackling/fouling, whatever you want to call it. Perhaps he wouldn't have gone in on Diaby with a potential career ending tackle and the ref lost control of the game as a result!
I've seriously had enough of the situation now. The game is played at lightning pace and we need the technology to suit. Every other major sport is light years ahead in terms of officiating, yet our dinosaurs at FIFA don't see a problem.
What are others thoughts? Do we need such technology? If so, what do we need to make games ruled fairly and more importantly rightly?
Blah blah blah arsenal blah blah blah.Don't mean to rub you the wrong way Spork but open both eyes when watching the game.
Even the commentators thought something was up. I was talking to a Spurs fan on Facebook who even agreed with me.
EDIT: Have you seen the highlights of the game? At least two of the goals scored should not have been. I'm serious, it's rubbish how refs get away with this shit constantly. And while I am at it, if this was the other way around, and Arsenal came back from being down 4 to draw or win, I would think the same, of course if it was up to me I wouldn't give up the win in pursuit of fair game, but it's just rubbish.
GG Redm@n
few harsh calls against Chelsea e.g Johnson on Ivanovic, Lucas handball
but ill take the 1-0 win
Merieles you the fuckin man!!!!
What this highly intelligent, good looking man said!!! c'mon you Reds :)
I' we've still got their best player even if we do have an owner that meddles where he shouldn't.
Arguably their best player.... :p
i wasnt a fan of the torres thing anyway, i would much prefer carroll but yeah cant change it. Just a dreadful Chelsea performance least we didnt have a 4 nil lead and fuck it up within 20mins tho :P
have fun being in cl and losing against barcy :profl
Yea, I'm definitely not saying that the team isn't at fault, it is 51% the team's fault and 49% Dowd's.
Hopefully there will be another 4-4 draw in the Chelsea Liverpool game. ;)
Shit is heating up, I really think Money City will be able to at the very least grab a draw against Manure, then it will just be two points between the top two!
Ooh yea.
that rooney goal was unbelievable. Nanis was pretty good at well. Man U are gonna be hard for any team to beat
pressure on Chelsea to stay in touch with spurs on tuesday
Great goal by Rooney
Come on Chelsea!

Aside from, Wolves, last week, you mean?
I'm starting to see why your so warped :p
I just got a copy of Pes 2011. Totally addicted. So much fineness involved with scoring than previous versions.I think i've owned every one since ISS 5 although only the last three on Pc .I think I need to get Fifa as well to make a comparison
lol at all of the above, why is this still being discussed??
Pfftt I can tap it past a stranded keeper from there.I cant however do a bicycle kick into the top corner of the net.And @Judge, if you watch the video of it, Rooneys eyes never left the ball. Only luck involved was it didn't go wide or hit the cross bar. Give the ugly $#@!er some credit.
The RVP goal is streets ahead of anything else posted.
*cough* 50 million quid *cough*
compared with Andy Carroll's 35 million dream start you mean?
but if we hadn't bought him chances are we'd have beaten you and Fulham.
You forget our other signing who scored on debut and Carroll still has to start but I have faith he will also score on debut :p
Dreams are free my friend :p
His goal was pretty forgettable though.
Pity Champions League spots aren't. I thought the Wigan result would have calmed you lot down, but no.
As of this moment we are still the Champions, or had you forgotten that? =)
P.S Gattuso is a d1ck...
It looked worse intent wise than the shawcross one, thou I haven't seen a slow closeup of that to see what happened with that. Was it more of a "well I missed the ball, time to sweep out his leg"?
New EPL rule, no more red cards, you just have to pay the injured players wages for red card tackles causing injury and 50% for yellow card ?
Lets not remind ourselves that it's basically 0-0 at this point.

Tweeps what do you think Ashley was aiming for when he took his penalty?
Is it a plane? Is it an aeroplane? No, its just ashley throwing chelsea out of the fa cup :)
I am very happy that it is because of Cashley that Chelsea no longer have a chance of winning anything this year. :P
I think Marseille should have a good chance of winning, Man U are not that great
I think Marseille should have a good chance of winning, Man U are not great.
*fixed* :)
Who'd have guessed Experience > Youth eh?
Wilshire was still MOTM.
--
Taken from another forum.
Also, experience? We had Bendtner, van Persie, Clichy, Sagna, Song, Rosicky, Nasri, Chamakh, Arshavin today with considerable experience in the CL/World Cup/Premiership
All of them have been in the game for years, it's got nothing to do with experience or youth, we lost, we did not deserve to win, Brum played well, they did deserve to win.
Although to lose in such a way, I believe this is the first game that our GK has $#@!ed up at all, and oh he $#@!ed up royally, Brum should have had a penalty or at least a very close FK in the first few minutes.
That RVp goal was massive thoguh! :P
I was just starting to think that perhaps there WONT be a Brum goal right at the end just to punch us in the face, thinking that the fitness of Arsenal will be fine to take the game to them in ET. Then that happened. Oh well, it is great for Birmingham to win a trophy. I don't mind them, except for the Eduardo incident.
United LOSE 2-1 :)
come on now Spork, it was their cup final;)
now its up to the arse to take their next game
Going to be one fun game at Old Trafford for the quarters now!
Bendtner needed that hattrick, hopefully that will give him a bit of a boost and he can play real well against Sunderland and Barca now.

No victory is more sweeter than this
gg Daredevil
big ups to Nani for that beautiful header into his own box lol
kuyt for the mega scab off suarez
come on Arsenal?! now both Chelsea and Liverpool have left the door open for you
game in hand if im not mistaken
Dont use that spirit! You need to beat Shitty, no one wants them to win.

agree, coulda been funny too, that would have been a bonus. Maybe there just isn't enough clips of him doing much wrong yet.
Barca all over Arsenal atm by the sounds..
spanish dramatics by the looks
tough break for the arse spork, look at it this way tho if we take you at OT this weekend, you can solely concentrate on the league
or you can say that anyway:)
agree with lead, Barca will be tough in the later rounds
Diaby didn't do anything to that Newcastle prick whom he had in his hands. Yet he was sent straight off.
EDIT: Also, you can have the FA cup, Arsenal might give you the game on Saturday, then win the league.
Meanwhile Liverpool have got....are you guys even IN Europe anymore?
We are havin a break, after all we have won it 5 times to ManU's what? 3... is it? I know it was 1 more that notts forest :)
How is it worth a red card though? Also, if that is worth a red card, how is having your hands on someone's neck in a choking action not?? Then that scissor tackle on Wilshire as well.
We would have lost regardless, but that ref was pathetic. I should just make that my signature, because it seems every game we play the refs get worse and worse..
EDIT: Apparently someone showed him a video, or told him that there was one second. So it's not his own judgement.
I think the ref thought he was checking Robin's pulse.

heh heh :)
i do enjoy the Man U v Liverpool rivalry
theres ALWAYS something to rip the other off about, my old man supports Liverpool, and we have been thru all the barbs...
He said Europe not Champions League mate :p We won in Europe before it became the Champions league (formed in 1992) much like the domestic League... so my comment still stands Mr only managed to be runner up 1 and never won it!

GG Spurs
Good work Tooterz, quite a fan of Tottenham atm.
quite a fan of Tottenham atm.
R3DM@N minus 100 man points for that comment :)
'I deny completely any charge. I do not understand where that comes from.
'It is a shame for me that the referee took the decision to send Robin van Persie off. It was the wrong decision.
'The first leg was a fantastic advert for football and the second game has been destroyed. People now will only remember the sending off.
'It would be good for UEFA to show some humility, to apologise for what has happened, not charge people who have done nothing wrong.
'Who has been punished is Arsenal football club. We are out of the Champions League, we have lost one of our big ambitions, we have been punished with a lot of damages and on top of that, we have to say sorry to UEFA.
'We have done nothing wrong. They organised the competition, they named the referees who come to the games.
'When you have a football game of that stature, you cannot come out with decisions like that and show a lot of arrogance on top of that.
'We can all understand that we can make wrong decisions, but after that it becomes dictatorship.
'I will keep that for UEFA if they really want to know because I will have some interesting statements to make about some statements made by people who were not supposed to say what they said,' he said.
'You can check any statement I made on television after the game. If I have done anything wrong I am ready to be charged.
'As for what is said in the tunnel, if you can get only one thing where I have come out on what has been said against me or against the referee during my 15 years in England, I will pay for you to have a big holiday.'
I much prefer Tooterz than Man Citeh/Utd tho.. lets be honest.
He be strollin down white hart lane, TBH there is no team like Liverpool, however I LoveTottenham the most.Fixed
Not looking good for Arsenal again this season is it? To think they were even entertaining the thought of an unprecedented quadruple.
I lol'd.
http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/football/4768252/All-Whites-trip-to-Tokyo-will-go-ahead
Should be a wicked game.
Jens back with Arsenal for the rest of the season, I wonder if he will be used at all, will be interesting to see if he still has 'it'.
Also shows how crap our once again current injury list is, which includes THREE of our first team keepers.
Chester (lol)(season), Fabianski(season) and Mannone(season). Then of course there is Cesc, Walcott, Vermaelan(season), Djourou(season), Song, and Frimpong as well!
There must be something wrong, that so many of our players are out injured, and even more (Nasri, RVP, Chamakh, Almunia, Diaby, + others whom I can't remember) keep on getting injured, and or have just come back from injury.
Why does anyone support Arsenal?
Useless City.
Haters goin to hate...
Poor Torres, he is still one of the best strikers in the world and his early days at Liverpool before he lost interest should prove his class. you try uprooting your family and moving to another top 4 club for that amount of money, added to that they have a totally different management team, playing style etc. Give him time and you will see him come right for Chelsea.
I will LOL until I collapse though if Chelsea don't get into the CL next season as this was his reason for wanting out of Liverpool :)

Agreed with that Judge bout Kalou/Drogbra but I much prefer someone like Sturridge who actually is so threatening in goal. I like Torres but hes just not in my top strikers category
Arsenal are a pack of cunts.
What was the arsenal Score???
Man U been consistent enough so they deserve it.
Second place will be in the Shield as Spork has realised that Man U will win the FA cup and the league
They better well! I'd much prefer Man U win it than City.
It must have hurt so much to type that out.
He is such an ugly bugger.
Fuck RooneyStatement or wish?
For fucks sake, it's the Daily Mail. They *make shit up*.
EDIT: TBH, I'd say Fernando would be better placed at Arsenal either way.
The only people thatdon'tthink Arsenal are a great club, are people with so many extra chromosomes they eat them every morning as cereal, and people from Hull.
Only thing I cared about this week was the reaming City took @ the hands of the mighty Liverpool.
Yea, they did the same thing in Aus for one of Arsenal's last matches - can't remember which one but one was delayed while there was another game live with two teams whom are no where near as big as Arsenal.
Only thing I cared about this week was the reaming City took @ the hands of the mighty Liverpool.
http://hastorresscoredforchelsea.com/
Anyone got a clip for the goals from the Man U Chelsea match? 101great goals doesnt seem to be working for me. :(
Come on Stoke.. Or who ever else is still in it!
singing... "where's ya treble gone, where's ya treble gone....." Didn't need Rooney eh?
:)
Anyone know what Balotelli said to Ferdinand that got him so wound up at the end? what a sore loser.... Captain of England...hmm yea sure.
Made me laugh in the week when he made some daft comment about the fact that no Man united player would ever speak out about matters within the club...short memory there boy, what was Rooney doing less 6 months ago?
From what I have read, he was just bragging about winning the game, and messing up MU's treble.
Arsenal are shit, always have been shit and always will be shit!
Sorry for the reality check there Spork but reading "The illustrated history of Arsenal FC's successes" would take less time than it would take to read "Glorious French Military Victories" :p
my favourite bit from that game was when Dalglish told Arsene to PISS OFF lol
I actually felt a bit sorry for Arsenal because I though as soon as the ball hit the ground it was game over
I think if Eboue had just left him the ref would have blown time
BL hahahahaha
Fuck Dalglish is the man.Time for Wenger to fuck off and find a new job I reckon.
, we were cutting Liverpool apart for most of the game. What game were you watching Spork? Certainly not what the stats reported, Liverpool had 43% to Arsenals 57% so hardly a cutting apart the rest was fairly even besides Arsenals 10 Corners to Liverpools 3!

What I would be worried about is the fact that the team Liverpool finished with had an average age of 20 so they had less experience than the Arsenal veterans and still manged to hold Arsenal out.
Lead, Liverpool aint no pushover :P
Mate, if (possession) stats where everything the league would be completely different, as an Arsenal supporter following a team whom constantly dominate possession, you begin to realise that as I said, stats do not win trophies, nor always win games.
Wilshire is the best player in the EPL
Thank you Spurs
aw Spork... but once again I am proved right :p and yes I am still a cnut :)
Just waiting for kilabee's laughter to commence
At least this game there were no dodgy ref decisions (against us).
EDIT: Ah, I just remembered the RVp offside call, pricks, we were robbed!!!111 :P
I actually thought we played pretty well. The penalty was a terrible goal to concede, but the two before it were screamers - total quality.
At least this game there were no dodgy ref decisions (against us).
EDIT: Ah, I just remembered the RVp offside call, pricks, we were robbed!!!111 :P
Bingo.
Yep, Chester got way too confident, and should not have come for it, it wasn't even that much of a threat.
You lot looked like a bunch of lumberjacks the way you were hacking down the spurs players
what surprise?
Bolton backed up after their 5-0 drubbing to the mighty stoke...
Title lead? I don't think our title lead faded away. We've been chasing the majority of the season. The lead you talk about, that was, well...yours, wasn't it?
I don't think Arsene will go. God, it's a huge $#@!ing subject - and frankly, you're a horrible twisted bastard so I refuse to discuss it. Hmmf.
a) What are the 3-4 players that should go IYO?
b) Who were the high profiles sold?
c) To which midget do you refer?
And uh, can I just call Barcelona a bunch of pathetic dribbling homos.
I guess you could consider Messi to be marginally OK at football, if you were generous.
Still though, Barca, and for that matter, Real - what a horrible fucking match of football. This is exactly why people that don't like it, will never like it. Diving, cheating, embarrassing shit from both sides. Jesus, turns you off the game a bit eh.
I hope Man U fucking rape them.
I fucking hate Man U.
Cheers Arse
^ Then stop supporting Arsenal :p
Chelsea aye
i thought they could make it close but again so close yet so far away
all credit to Man U. They win the games that count and the games they should win
I hope they rape those diving BARCA xunts
that liverpool one was a pretty good summary of our season
great to see the back of that useless prick torres and thank god we sent Roy on his way
looking forward to next season, go nothing to look forward to in terms of football now
Arsenal video had an error :(
The Eastlands boss said: "We were fantastic. I can say only that I'm very happy for all the supporters. After supporting us for a whole fourty five minutes they deserve to win this trophy. Too bad they are all glory hunting pricks so they will soon get over us and jump across the city to Old Toilet."
DENILSON rocked Arsenal
Something is missing at Arsenal
THE giant, red suitcases already lined up in the hall of his Hertfordshire home say a lot.
But it is the look on the face of Arsenal star Denilson that says it all.
It's a mixture of relief and regret.
Relief that manager Arsène Wenger has agreed to his request to leave after five years in North London.
Regret that he was unable to help end the six-year silverware famine that has blighted Arsène Wenger's team.
And the 23-year-old Brazilian midfielder is as bemused as anyone as to why it has all gone so horribly wrong.
He sighs: "There's something missing at Arsenal but no one knows what it is. Not the manager, not the players - nobody.
"Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool spend millions and millions on players.
"But we are still the best footballing side in Britain, we play beautiful football. Only Barcelona do it better. But we don't win trophies.
"That's so frustrating, you can't imagine how frustrating.
"Arsenal is a great club, we have a great manager and so many talented players. So we should be collecting silverware. And there are no excuses for it.
"Some people say we don't succeed because we are too young and naive - but that's no excuse.
"We didn't lose the Carling Cup final to Birmingham because we were too young. We lost because our confidence collapsed completely when Obafemi Martins scored for them.
"This was a final we should have won, we were the favourites.
"It was the opportunity to silence all our critics. Here's a trophy to shut you all up after five years - and this is going to be the start of many.
"What a lift that would have given us all. Especially as we were in such a fantastic position in all the other competitions too.
"The quarter-finals of the FA Cup, quarter finals of the Champions League and sitting second in the league. It was all there for us and we were so motivated.
"But when Martins scored it was all over. You could see it in the eyes of the players and the supporters there at Wembley. Our confidence just drained away and we never got it back. It was a catastrophe.
"That was the moment our season was ruined, it started a domino effect and no one could stop it.
"I knew it was a massive moment, the point where it all started to go badly wrong and I think we all knew.
"I went home afterwards and just cried. I was very upset, very sad and I was ashamed."
Denilson was not alone. He says the whole squad, the entire Arsenal staff was devastated.
The crippling damage of that final defeat proved impossible to repair.
Within a fortnight an Arsenal side that was on course for an historic Quadruple was in freefall.
The Gunners were knocked out in the Champions League quarter finals by Barcelona, despite a first-leg lead. And then a third body blow followed when they were dispatched in the FA Cup quarters by Manchester United.
The triple whammy of despair left them so shattered that they have since slipped out of the title race too.
Slumping from second in the table to fourth and facing the prospect of having to qualify for the Champions League next term even if they win at Fulham on Sunday.
Denilson said: "After Birmingham the boss told us to hold our heads up and stressed there was still so much to play for.
"We had Barca and United coming up and we were chasing the title. But although we went into both those games still believing we could win, it wasn't enough. Since then everything has fallen away."
Denilson can barely believe how Arsenal have slumped out of contention. He says they are paying the price for some expensive lapses in games they should have won.
"I remember leading Liverpool 1-0 and they scored in the last seconds. We were 4-0 up at Newcastle but drew.
"We also lost to Newcastle at home and West Brom and Aston Villa.
"We threw it away against Sunderland and Blackburn at the Emirates.
"Let's be honest, some of those games were shocking, shameful. We are better than that.
"But until Arsenal stop throwing away those silly points in those stupid games nothing will change."
Denilson's sorrow is real but he can feel the pain and anguish of his manager too.
"All the players are hurting but we know the supporters suffer even more than we do.
"And most of all the boss suffers it worst of all and that makes me sad because he is a great man and a great manager."
Denilson says Wenger has been brilliant in dealing with his desire to leave. "I went to see him and told him of my decision and he understood.
"He says he will not stand in my way and if the club receive a good offer for me I can go. I was so relieved to hear that. I am very grateful.
"Not every manager would have been like Arsène Wenger, not every club would act like Arsenal. I know in a year's time I might regret it and be wishing I'd stayed. I may go somewhere and find it's just not the same.
"But my heart tells me I have to take that risk, I have to be honest with myself, be true to myself.
"I am a footballer and I want to play every week because I want the chance to play for Brazil.
"Look at Lucas at Liverpool. He's been playing regularly and he's in the Brazil team. That's where I want to be.
"I would love to be able to do that at Arsenal but based on how things have gone this season, I think it's time for a change.
"So I am flying home to Brazil on Sunday and I'm hoping I can make a fresh start in Spain or maybe Italy."
Arse supporter - Fuckin hate both teams, but if i had to pick......no its too hard.....oh well......um......Man U because we beat them last month and theyre not Barca...
Chelski supporter - FUCKING BEAT BARCA (everytime he sees me...) Then some ramble about Barca buying refs or something...
i wouldnt be ashamed of tapn imogen if i was giggsy
Yeah Man U not in it really apart from a nice Giggs/Rooney goal. Four good goals really.Messi carved up all game.
Fifa is not in crisis - Blatter
Fifa president Sepp Blatter says corruption allegations within his organisation are merely "difficulties" - but accepts they have caused "great damage to the image of Fifa".
I feel a whole lot better about FIFA now cos Sepp says all is ok
What a joke they need a complete clean out and give some new people chance to become rich and corrupted

I really don't like the off-season, so I try my best to avoid it - usually fail hardcore, but at least I'm trying! :P
Jeez it's quiet in here....thought all the Manc fans would be jumping up and down about their new Blackburn defender....
oh well, not like Chelsea even have a manager yet. Come on Guus sign here.
Torres turns up for training carrying a back-pack and the security guard asks him what he's got in it.
He replies "P0rn DVD's, drugs and a gun"
The security guard says "Thank God for that - for a minute, I thought you'd brought your boots!"
looks like we finally got our boy Charlie Adam this morning
Apparently stewart downing deal should be done by tuesday
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxNb1GaEH7E
I hear there are some questions asked in this video, but I don't hear them.
Not read this anywhere, you sure you didn't dream it? Blackpool are still saying there's been no offer for Adam. You lot only want to pay 7M for him too, which they rejected in January. If Jordan Henderson is worth 13M and Ngog then Charlie Adam is worth 10M at least, surely.
*snigger* good goals too. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2018019/Hull-3-Liverpool-0-Dalglish-sees-80m-men-shown-defensive-howlers.html

Ouch 3-0 at home?

Utd.....He's no van der sar is he?
Hey, all I'm saying is give the only shit Spanish footballer in the world at the moment some time.
is it just the game in the london area that are being cancelled or is it the whole comp that is being postponed?
damn just read on twitter that the madness has even reached Liverpool
ratsh!t
damn just read on twitter that the madness has even reached Liverpool

I hope Spurs don't win anything this season.
I hope City make no further progress this season.
I hope Arsenal finish in the top 4 and win at least the CC.
Meh, I'm fine with that.
Also, Ciao Cesc, he played well for us, I will always remember that game against Aston Villa and Tottenham in 09/10, Chelsea in 10/11, and countless others, If it wasn't for Cesc we probably wouldn't still be in the CL as he pulled us through so many tough times especially in the last two to three seasons.
I hope Cesc gets lots of game time with Barca and wins trophies. He deserves them an I am only unhappy that he isn't even able to leave the Emirates without a minor trophy.
gotta feel for arsenal bro
i fuckin hate joey barton and it was him he got song and gervinho put in the stands
plus no wilshere or gibbs. ratsh!t
You can never write the gunners off though
every year people say they wont make the top 4
and they do
Honestly I still believe we will finish third or fourth depending on how well City and Chelsea do.
They won't make top four! :p
The team that scraped the win this morning
Szczesny, Sagna, Koscielny, Vermaelen, Gibbs (Djourou 47), Song, Rosicky (Frimpong 72), Walcott, Ramsey, Gervinho, Chamakh, Djourou (Jenkinson 55).
Unless that changes, you won't make top 4....
didnt see the game
but i heard after they scored the goal they parked the bus
well good win for Liverpool
Arsenal played pretty well until frimpong was sent off
carroll and henderson need to get some speed and skill
soon as suarez and merieles came on we looked way better
things are already looking better than last season
However we do not bloody need less players available, stupid of him to put that tackle in.
see this football thread has 10 times more pages than the rugby one lolz.
Well, compared to Almunia he looks best in the world. :P
(http://i.imgur.com/v1sqW.gif)
SRS. Best in the world.
how about after today?
poor gai
Has Spork lost his Spark? I have noticed a lack of passion in his posts of late :)
i would 8-2 be an arsenal fan at the moment :D
if it makes him feel any better, I can remind him that MUFC got hammered like that at Chelsea a few years back. It happens sometimes. I think the goobers will still compete for the top four this season. With all the past bad blood between Arsene and Sir Alex, SAF actually defended him in the press today and basically said the media wolf packs should back off.Wenger should fuck off. If there was any chance that Arsenal could win a premiership then they wouldn't have lost so many top quality players over the last couple of years. He's been out of ideas since Henry left - sure a couple of years back there was a spate of injuries, but the game has moved on and so should he.
Has Spork lost his Spark? I have noticed a lack of passion in his posts of late :)
So Dos Santos, maybe Mertersacker and some kinda unknown South Korean up front, should work.
Gotta love bargain bucket wheeler dealer Wenger
yea Mertersacker, he has the turning speed of milk.
Mere wasnt a shock. Would prefer Adam :P
I dont like the transfering within the EPL.. No loyalty anymore ay?
I dont like the transfering within the EPL.. No loyalty anymore ay?
how about after today?
poor gai
re re start. Can things get any worse for the arse.4-3 to bottom of the table Blackburn. Loyalties will be tested.Fuck off. I've been supporting them since the early 70's and will continue to do so, no matter how low Wenger takes them.
Fuck off. I've been supporting them since the early 70's and will continue to do so, no matter how low Wenger takes them.
I definitely understand all the talk of people wanting Wenger out, but seriously, who is good enough to replace him?Mate, i'd take Kevin Fucken Keegan at this stage. Wenger's done shit since Henry left except collect his paycheck.
Gervinho and RVP don't look like they are going to work
Dear Liverpool fans,
Bwhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Signed,
Chelsea
Obviously didn't hear how your side went this morning.
Tough game for Arsenal this morning 1 nil down at home to Shrewsbury at home after 15.
Can life get any better
Does anyone care about that Cup anymore?
I do, as I see it as Arsenal's chance to break their trophy drought.
Obviously even that depends on wtf we do in the EPL, because as it stands now, we look to be getting relegated! Heh.
[noiamnotserious]
Torres..... Torres..... Torres.....*facepalm*
Its all the scousers and there voodoo dolls.$#@! you Torres Bahahahahahahah
after the club's worst start to a season in 58 yearsWho could they possibly be talking about? :(
I'm a starter - especially because it's against Adelaide (Mrs Tofu's home town).
Something about Stamford bridge is burning down?
a) Denilson, Clichy, Alumnia, Arshavin and possibly Bendtner and/or Diaby. The whole team though, need to fucking wake up.
Hahaha maori! Leave poor Cech alone, hes the greatest goalkeeper ever, just has shit defence.
I like Spurs more than those Man Carnts
Annother sweet victory over Chelsea this morning
RVP has scored more goals than Liverpool.
didnt the gooners get beaten 2-0. But they survived aye?
didnt the gooners get beaten 2-0. But they survived aye?
Im glad to see the Mancs gone
Be even better if they both started to crash in the prem as well
Liverpool are shit at the moment so I could live with the best team in london Spurs getting up and winning the title
Gary Cahill is coming to Chelsea!
I will miss Alex he is the man.
What are your sides hopes for the Transfer Market?
Sell Torres (I'm dreaming)
Sell Kalou
Sell Anelka
Buy Glen Johnson :P
Buy David Villa
Buy Hazard
Torres - Going nowhere right awayAgree, Although I would be happy to see him back at Anfield :p
Glen Johnson? wtf? Hell No.You guys used to have him and gave him up! hands off, he is fine where he is.
Lampard - I can see him leaving in Jan.Where?
Watched the Reds v Magpies this morning, as expected a different team when Gerrard came on, such a vital creative player for them and looking sharp as ever too. Great service to the overpriced lanky pisshead and took his goal well, real class always rated him.He certainly did make a difference, Play was flat and contained to the middle of the field, Gerrard comes on and Nek minit totally different game. Bellamy must have forgot his pills this morning but I do think the challenge should be looked into.
I loved Carroll when he played for Newcastle..nek minnit, shit.
Demba Ba - 15 goals - Free Transfer from West Ham
Torres and Carroll - 6 Goals... 85Million
how about that for perspective.
lol @ Phil Jones....
Tim Howards Goal..amazing!
And in breaking news Chelsea and Liverpool are fighting for the signature of Tim Howard to replace either Fernando Torres or Andy Carroll. Howard has scored more goals in the past 5 weeks then the two
strikers combined
Who?
Also, wicked goal from Tim Howard. Can't remember where I saw this, but he has now scored more goals in the last 5 weeks than either Fernando or Carrol. :P
the way we are going we would pay 25 million for Heske
I think I might have cried a little. You couldn't fucking write it. Well, you could, in fact you would, but you wouldn't expect what you'd written to happen. Incredible stuff.
Thierry!
Transfer Rumours :
Liverpool to recruit more racists...and KKK as fans
you know it was against Leeds right? :)
Nah, pretty cool, been a fan of TH before he joined Arsenal, remember him debut as a sub for France in the World Cup and his class was obvious. Won me a European Championship fantasy league too.....
..then you lot bought him.
Are we getting John Terry?
Yea, the same Leeds who beat Man U at Old Trafford two years ago, and forced a replay with Arsenal last season.
Wikipedia would say they were not the same squads :p

YUSSSSSSSS!!!

fark we need a new striker though
YUSSSSSSSS!!!

Congrats Arsene Wenger on fucking Arsenal in the Arse, at this rate we will not make top four, RVP will leave and we will once again be royally fucked.
Fuck the board, fuck Arsene, they have all completely lost it.
Congrats Kenny on $#@!ing Liverpool in the Arse, at this rate we will not make top four, Suarez will leave and we will once again be royally $#@!ed.
$#@! the board, $#@! Kenny, they have all completely lost it.
Uh, Spurs have spent more over the last decade (net), than 17 other clubs in the league, Arsenal being one of them.
we drew with Norwich...awesome!
Liverpool fans are quiet, they must be on holiday.
Our midfield is terrible..
Ramires just doesnt do it for me, can see why Modric is the no1 target
..................Without Arteta we are crap.
A Liverpool v Arse FA cup final would be epic.
:p
The fact that Fergie is only in the EPL and the Europa is pretty funny, same for Mancini, even more so really. No better than Arsenal or Liverpool. (Yet).
Cant believe no one has put this on yet - Ryan Nelsen to Tottenham!
Judge and I were like WTF? Nelsen to Tottenham!!! :)
Poor Swansea... well deserved a win today :(
Woah! big move. See how they like the Kiwi srceaming at them from the back.

Haha, surrrre you haven'y 'Arry
Classy Suarez....
and yes Evra made a meal of it afterwards
is a shame really all round
Agreed!
Would have loved them to have put a camera in the tunnel though :)
All your teams suck, how the hell is Arsenal 4th? =D
They're 4th cos Chelsea and Newcastle are hopeless
Did you seriously say 'Go Spurs'? Jesus, go fuck yourself.
GG arsenal
i actually was talking with my father who is an arsenal supported prior to the game and I said the score would be 2-1 to Arsenal
Liverpool are the creators of their own demise, koshelney (excuse the poor spelling) has scored more goals for Liverpool this year against arsenal than anyone else
hopefully this highlights the need for some new players at Liverppol and our yank owners dish out
I never said that, I was just voicing my opinion. Where did I say your opinion is wrong? Stop over reacting like all Liverpool fans always do. :P
Yea, was never going to turn it around, didn't get the players onside from the off which was fatal. First Chelsea managerial sacking (other than Scolari) I actually agree with.
If he had had a blank canvas then maybe, but so out of his depth it was painful.
http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/oddballs/891347-deivid-adds-another-howler-to-his-catalogue-of-horror-misses
The most recent addition is bad enough but watch his top 5 that didn’t include that one. The first and last ones are classic – I really couldn’t stop laughing at the first one, the header, f*ckin ‘ell, he’s terrible. How does he get a game? And how bad are the defences are over there, he gets so much space, just times his runs well and bang he’s in on goal. And those 5 were just in 2011.
I love the way his teammates just stop in disbelief even though the other team is now counter-attacking.
WBA were the better team!
WBA were the better team!
Come talk to me when you actually win something......... If I have not died of old age by then :)
I have no idea what you're on about. Suarez dived, he was halfway through the air before the keepers leg *brushed* him, and then he lay on the ground rolling around like his leg had been smashed to bits. He dived, he dives, and there's thousands of videos of him doing such all over the internet. Currently the dirtiest player in the league..
No worse than Drogba IMO and JT is the dirtiest player of all time... so something about glass houses and stones etc and don't interrupt my Trolling of the mighty Spork :)
Trolling of the mighty Spork :)
I like JT (when playing for England:)) so not on the crucification band wagon there :p
Carragher is just a useless waste of space and I cried the day they re-signed him, luckily he spends most of his time on the bench now... Skrtel still thinks he is behind the iron curtain :)
But nail on the head, they all do it, nobody is clean when it comes to diving just some are better at the theatrics than others. Like I already said, yes I get embarrassed when Suarez is carrying on but I can deal with it as he makes up for it in other areas.
Haha, look at te Liverpool fan who argues a bad point then when he realised he is wrong he calls it 'trolling'.
Also, Drogba is a lot better these days as far as diving goes, although I haven't paid much attention to Chelsea in game during this season, bad enough concentrating on one crap team.
(http://www.topnews.in/sports/files/Sven-Goran-Eriksson_0.jpg)... Can't be serious?
Or can they?
Not a bad point at all, just a difference of opinion mate, I have the backing of the FA and their referees... you have speculation, hearsay and personal opinion.... If you recall earlier in the piece I said there was contact in the box and there was, I don't write the rules around how much contact needs to occur, the match officials do that and they did... yes Suarez carried on after the event in true Hollywood style but that is all irrelevant :)
You won didn't you! Now get the fuck over it and put your handbag away :p
Only Arse fans whinge when they win :p
The players can only call the shots if you put them on the fkn pitch.... :) besides DiMatteo is clearly a tactical genius! who knew?
Boys did good today, he got them up for it. Something AVB was unable to do. Cracking game....
Greatest ever? I think so but a dominate world cup performance would put it beyond doubt.
Rather have CL qualification than a Carling Cup!
Rather have CL qualification than a Carling Cup!
Rather have CL qualification than a Carling Cup!
Jeez, quiet in here...oh that's right Liverpool play tomorrow.
and the arse lost:phehe yea kinda what I was alluding too, still, here's hoping Spurs get beat by Swansea tomorrow. I must say I'm enjoying watching City implode though even if it does hand it to the another bunch of smug Mancs.
Fuck him, I would almost prefer Spurs win the league than Nasri get his filthy paws on the trophy.
Shot Chelsea. Good win and we face Barca...this will dictate alot for our season.
5th..with Newcastle on our case gonna be a big ask.
Now, WHY THE HELL DOES MAN UTD GET SO MUCH TIME OFF? Yet other teams have turn around of like 3 days.
gotta feel for arsenal bro
i fuckin hate joey barton and it was him he got song and gervinho put in the stands
plus no wilshere or gibbs. ratsh!t
You can never write the gunners off though
every year people say they wont make the top 4
and they do
No problems red, was a good game. I got rate mad at some dickhead at the pub who supported United but was cheering on City the whole game.
Jeez, quiet in here...
^ You should have stayed up :)
I did and it was well worth the 6AM wake up call from the kids.... I only wish that there were a few toffee's on this here forum :)
Take that Spurs :-)
There is going to be a brawl for the final. The Liverpool fans wont like the disrespect from the Chelsea fans in the minutes silence. Don't suggest having a drink in pub in a Chelsea shirt by the Mersey.
GG Wigan, made us look like a league 3 squad.
Which just shows what morons some football fans are. You didn't hear 40,000 odd Chelsea fans disrespecting it, you heard 'a pocket' less than 1% probably which of course would have been easy as everyone else STFU, but hey who's counting? Sadly, no one. The Club has condemmed it, time to move on I think.
league game Widnes vs St helens (with a Widnes work mate)
Great Player, Nightmare character.
I hope you supported Saints!! How long did you spend around those parts?
Yea, it's pretty common for them to lose this season. ;)
I became a Chelsea supporter when I was a kid because the Headhunters were the most feared firm in the land.
I miss the old days.. It's so PC now mean now if you go after some dirty Man U supporter with a machete you'll probably goto jail and get barred from matches for life.... I mean how fucking wrong is that..
Hmm, after JT grabs Puyols hand Puyol laughs about it, you don't see that in the GIF. Racist? Innocent till PROVEN guilty eh?
I wish Newcastle would fuck off already.
Haha, JT is total scum. You don't need a court to prove that.
Thread title is Soccer thread so I guess that extends to Sheffield Wednesday :p
We should change that, seeing as soccer is something Yanks play.
He's no fkn racist, so ya need the court for that. What's he really done that's sooo scummy? Trial by media...fkn awesome.
Oh, of course he's not racist in the sense he *hates* black people, just you know, casual harmless racism that accidentally slips out when a black guy annoys him.
Let's see, what else has England's Brave John Terry done?
Mocking American Tourists after 9/11? Check.
Had an affair with a team-mates ex (who is the mother of his Son)? Check.
Arrested after wielding a broken bottle at a bouncer? Check
Selling tours are Chelsea's Training Ground on the sly? Check
Acting the cunt at the last World Cup? Check
Possibly costing Chelsea a CL spot this season by deliberately under-performing to ensure the removal of an unpopular manager? Check
Not really his fault though, considering his Dad is a dealer, and his Mum a shoplifter. Good hardy stock to come from.
I mean honestly, when Craig Bellamy say's he's not surprised at your behaviour, I mean really.
Yea bang him up, terrible offences. FFS..really? I did lol at the Bellamy call, quality.
Enough of that, CL Final, get in!!!! No, I have idea how either. Who's gonna lend me 4K to go to it? Form an orderly queue please.
killa - it was a 4-4-1 formation and we got two goals..
Hey, I don't want the man to die or anything - just calling it as it is. He's a scummy prick. I'm not sure a defense of 'but other people are scum too!', or 'he's not the only one!' - does him much service, but hey I understand the desire to try and defend the captain of your team.
Bayern or Real in the final? Both are terrifying!
yeah buddy!
It'll only be sh1t if Chelsea lose.
Chelsea don't need your support, but if you could lend us RVP that would be great
Me and you judge. lets go to Germany! haha
Wow, those Blackburn owners really, really fucked their club. I mean sure, you can blame the players, manager etc - who all rightfully suck - but they were just fine before Venkeys showed up.
'We will lavish 5 million pounds for player transfers!' <- Spot the cunts that know nothing about football.
'We will sign Ronaldhino!' <- Just, wow.
LOL, ....obviously none of those players will feature in the starting line up against Bayern, we had no intention of winning that game, either that or we thought our reserves could handle you.... Ivan should have scored and nearly got the first, but no Essien did, unlucky...Torres hit the bar. I can't argue that we defended shit, Terry had a mare but even then, with our 'B' team at your place we still should and could have won that game. Score flatters you somewhat, but at least you missed that shit penalty. So ok, if that makes the FA Cup loss feel better all good. :)
Jordan Henderson giving it the biggun, silly little spotty cunt. 8 goals in 136 appearances as a pro....only his second for Liverpool, yea your quality mate. Even Torres has scored more for us than Carroll and him put together, there's ya 50Mil right there.
Gonna be a tall order to win in Germany everyone knows that especially with the massive home advantage. Of course everyone wants us to fuck it up, but at least we're there as the crowd so rightly pointed out to you noisey scarf holding mid table has beens.
Hahaha ^^^ Butthurt much.
Haha, nah not really it's tongue in cheek banter. Leads a personal friend, so he's used to my rants. :)
Its football. Everyone hates everyone and everything!
Good season all~ GG Citeh.
Now, Blue is the colour, this Sunday..
Congratulations to the City owners on being exceptionally rich.
its not like many of these teams are playing with players from there areas though, so most of the time it does come down to money and management. but tbh mancinni is a muppet should never of let tevez come back after that shit he pulled
Would you have won the league if it wasn't for Tevez coming back?
I agree with Wandy though, money won City the league, but it's not the money, as you said every team buys players from all over the world, but the difference is that most teams earn their money, City were given it.
EDIT: No shit though, I feel happy for the real City supporters, the ones who actually were fans of the team well before they became decent.
I thought Ferg was gracious in defeat today. That is not something that can be said about him often.
Walcott would be amazing
Imagine the worst situation - we lose Robin and Theo - you cannot convince people you are ambitious after that.
He grew out of that appalling habit
^The last time I saw a team play as 'off' as Holland last night was Barcelona in the CL against Chelsea. ;)
Yeah good thinking let him coach them forever.
What level do you think the All Whites should be at?
Far out personal attacks here mate!
What have Arsenal got lately? F-all.
I am gonna say this with no disrespect but we should be a lot better - teams with little or no money have developed players alot better than our team who have been taken in young, playing in our top tier competitions for this area and losing. I mean where does the buck stop? We shouldnt be losing to teams like New Caledonia and only just beating Fiji? And we wanna go to World Cup again?
2 Years? You're avvin a laugh, if he lasts 6 months I'll be surprised.
What do you mean 'wtf'? We can't compete financially. We're not bankrolled by a Russian billionaire.
Ulisher Asminov (30% shareholder) is .....a Russian billionaire. Maybe ask him?
Won't!
"The club made an operating profit (excluding player transfers) of £72m in the year ending 31 May 2010, from a turnover of £379.9m.[5] In April 2009, business magazine Forbes ranked Arsenal as third most valuable football team in the world, after Manchester United and Real Madrid, valuing the club at $1.2bn (£605m), excluding debt.[6] Accountants Deloitte rate Arsenal fifth in the 2011 Deloitte Football Money League, a ranking of the world's football clubs in terms of revenue, with the club earning £274.1m in the 2009–10 season."
Won't......
Just sayin'. :)
The difference between Man Citeh's ethics and Chelseas are totally different.
Chelsea were in huge financial strife before Bramo came. Man City were a mid table team with a huge investor who threw money left, right and centre.
PS : Cya later RVP - hope he plans for Man Citeh. Be awesome!
Haha found a quote from Spork about AVB...
Borini misses another precision cross, luckily the Hearts defender was on hand to bag it for him. LOLLol...
Both sides spurned first-half chances, with Fabio Borini the main culprit.
Hearts gave a good account of themselves but were made to pay for their own profligacy in front of goal when Webster put past his own keeper.
Martin Kelly fired in a dangerous cross and the Hearts defender looked on in horror as the ball rebounded off him and into the net.
well done Chelsea...so angry at Luiz dive though. Dickhead!
Good work by Tootenham and Liverpoo
Jeez, poor old Reading. 5-5 on 120 minutes, lose 7-5 in injury time...gutted or what.
How is everyone?
"We know what we are"
Lucky? ;)
Hey hey, we still qualified in the top four, Chelsea had to rely on some lucky cup run to get back into it. ;)
Reckon you'll finish top 4 this season?
Bloody jammy Man U
Reckon you'll finish top 4 this season?
and the best MU team that ever played.
Was that the team against Norwich last night?
Lol!
Chelsea got fucking schooled by Juventus. I laughed my fucking tits off.
Fans are fucked - you actually believe all that shit huh? Man, I believe all sorts of demonstrably false shit about Arsenal and Wenger. Seriously, I'm pretty close to thinking CL qualification should come with a trophy. No, I really fucking am.
What a fucking mess.
Not entirely sure Arsenal had much to do with that one!
Romeu will be alot longer than 6 months i'd say..pretty serious ACLs, I'd know! hahah Rehabbing one now!
So many people have done that. It makes no sense. You knew we were playing Reading. Reading are so bad.
In other news, that was fun - kicking the shit out of someone so obligating. Next up, Wigan!
Has Rafa been sacked yet?
Also good news for Sturridge, hopefully he can do well at Liverpool and move onto a bigger club in the near future.
Torres needs to go..asap.
Liverpool fans have had a whip around. 2 pounds fifty so far...
someone sell a house?
Torres and Rafa have to go. Sad thing is who would really want to come to Chelsea and coach?
I see Arsenal still haven't done what any self respecting club would do and adjust it's ticket price to suit the standard of football on display. Fingers crossed for sanity to make an appearance.
Fixed.
Oscar Pistorius has murdered his girlfriend.
Proof that even a man with no legs has a better shot than Fernando Torres.

Nah it's a bit ordinary, ok though.
Assuming this is actually it and not some training kit.
I quite like the away shirt but white shirts are just a pain.
They won't make top four! :p
I never would have thought that we would be top of the league pending Liverpool overtaking us once they beat Swansea tomorrow morning.
Good win for Arsenal on the weekend, probably didn't deserve the 3 points.
Thread's not dead.
Chelsea still in it to win it for EPL and CL.
Be very interesting to see if Courtois plays for Atletico.
Yep, actually looking forward to the CL matches since I'll be on holiday. Which club do you support, Lias? I'm a Man utd fan here ;D
I can't help it - I love the club, mainly my love for Cristiano Ronaldo and our Ginger prince. haha, still upset about the loss against Bayern but we put up a valiant effort and never stop fighting till the end.
How do you feel about the CL draw, since Courtois may or may not play.
So what's on atm? Some world cup or something?
Brazil vs Germany ~ 2-1 to Germany?
The forums are pretty dead dude, everyone hangs out on Discord instead now.

That aside, as a one eyed Chelsea supporter I'm obviously picking they will buck the odds and take out Barcelona.
Other than Chelsea, my picks would be Man City, Liverpool, Man U, PSG, Roma, Spurs & Bayern Munich..
