Title: Electronics component help
Post by: Xsannz on October 29, 2015, 07:38:00 am
Here is a picture of the existing components back: link http://m.imgur.com/gallery/pFE6jRA (http://m.imgur.com/gallery/pFE6jRA)

It is a 50k 1 turn potentiometer with center detent, 6mm diameter knurled shaft, 9mm length and a spst push button momentary switch. I haven't had any luck trying to determine the manufacturer of the component or a replacement that ticks all of the above boxes. If anyone is able to help, it would be greatly appreciated!

To like the potato you must become the potato.

Its a Piher product. im currently hunting to see if i can find a replacement switch.

edit: well shit. they dont make it easy. i'll try again tomorrow at work - to either find a match or one that will do the exact same thing

got a reply from potentiometer.com, R technical Australia and they all do custom stackable units, that they cant make a center detent with momentarty switch.

but some bastard must have done it, since i have 2 of them in the device.

PANASONIC - EVU-E3JFK4B54 have a look at this?

danm close, but no center dentent, which i really need to be able to pause between a + axis and a -axis

ok so

momentary push is the switch type,  the detent is not switched its just a mid position, as far as i know,

i might break out the multimeter tonight and just check the centre detent is not switched as well.

My spec sheet says they have mid point detent. And I think I have used them for audio balance adjustment on a mixing board I've fixed for a mate.

Yeah sounds like you've got a pure custom part on your hands. Very slim chance you be able to find a replacement sort of raid saiteks factory.

NOPE.

I have the warranty replacement ones in a box thats what i am selling, the parts are to fix a mates X52 Pro

the parts are in the x52 pro and the X55 are the same in the throttle units

i am selling the X55, but i would love to be able to find the parts as i started an arduino project to build my own flight panel.

since the Warthog setup i have doesnt have enough momentary toggles which most games use rather than on of hold style toggles.
