chch is getting a lot better and stuff happening....awesome place to be i reckon
This is the vibe I got when I was there. Being in the city centre gave off an epic feel of community.
I want dat feel.
Go more east and see what happens to that vibe Plus the city center is for tourists, most locals avoid that place.

Disagree as well. Stickers say Sale and then under underneath "Today cash price" $ That is a clear indication the item is on sale as the normal white stickers don't say that at all, giving the impression that price is only for Today.

Friday.... machine go BOOOOOM! Where are the nearest parts..... BELGIUM!!
Early finish at least, come on fedex I just spent a small fortune paying for 48 hour delivery!
2 fucking cooling fans, slightly bigger than your PC ones but still..... CUUUUUUUUUNTS!
next week is going to suck playing catchup.
feel yr pain, corrupted my OS during a routine update, just prior to xmas. been a while since i've rebuilt a rig but most of it came back to me. tried chucking 32Gb of RAM at it so i could load BF4 onto DimmDrive but the older boards only support 16GB even with the latest BIOS.
now running Win 8 but haven't bothered to play any BF4, just can't be arsed
Maybe its just me but your not missing much by not playing bf4. Think i'm getting old, all fps games just seem meh these days.

I had a PS4 preorder but cancelled when I saw the only 2 games I was slightly interested in were delayed, rest of the launch titles looked pretty shit. Doubt I will buy either console anytime soon now.

Ah that blows, did you overwrite the character or something? I've read that if you do encounter your character missing that it's best just to play singleplayer for a bit and to not create a new character. Generally the issue is just the Rockstar cloud servers being down, if you create a new character it overwrites your original.
If you do need help leveling a new character, I would be more than happy to roll you through some survivals, easy 20k cash and pretty much the quickest way to level. Nah PS3 crashed and next time I loaded up char gone. No warnings about cloud down or anything. I was only lvl 10 so its not too bad and some of my money returned to the bank. Just don't wont to invest more time in the game for it all to be lost next time the PS3 crashes.

You sound mad, and uninformed.
Valve being valve, I wouldn't be surprised if they have a sexup on wine or crossover transparently launching non-valve non-linux games. Time will tell.
Not mad but maybe uniformed. From what I saw on the SteamOS page their solution was to stream from a Windows box, kinda like a non portable Nvidia shield. Nothing about wine or crossover launching thingy. You mean like how PS4 is different to Xbox? Provided valve provide a tidy and simple toolkit to base work in, I can see developers following on.
Like if a OS existed that could play both PS and Xbox games, as a consumer why would you buy either console. Until the day arrives when everyone/majority is using OpenGL to develop I see it as a bit of hard sell to your average non technical customer, who is left wondering why some Steam titles work on their Steam Box and others don't but they do on their mates Windows machine with Steam on it. They just want COD:Ghosts to run not muck about with some twin system steaming solution, they don't care about the technology behind it they just want it to work. But then again I guess someone big has to put up their hand first and push the hard sell otherwise nothing will ever happen and Valve does have the cash and balls to do it.

Works at countdown for me. https://www.facebook.com/countdown/posts/563704983672431Countdown Supermarkets Hi Alex, thanks for your post. We’re currently can only accept PayWave and PayPass-enabled cards for Visa and Mastercard credit card transactions with no PIN up to $80. We don’t currently accept contactless debit card transactions, so if you have a debit card, you can insert or swipe your debit card as usual.

I got my ANZ Visa Debit card the other day (replaced my National Bank card without even asking/telling me ) so I went to Countdown and the damn thing doesn't work there. The useless cunts have decided to limit their systems to only work with Visa credit cards and block debit cards in order to promote their One Card visa. So fuck them. Luckily it works at Henry's so alcohol can get in my system faster. I was annoyed they tied it to my main bank account so now some l33t haxxorz can steal my pay every month.

Won't be playing anymore until they sort out the char deleting bugs and the hard crashes. Had a good session Friday night and the PS3 crashed a few times, Saturday morning PS3 locked up again and toon deleted. Good bye garage/car/money/unlocks.

So Valve is just trying to use it to pry devs away from directx and a majority of gamers will continue to use Windows as it offers best of both worlds with directx and opengl support.

The controller makes sense, but to me the rest of it just doesn't.
Is Valve thinking everyone is going to build a Steam PC for the living room to play their titles and other linux games, then also build another Windows box to stream every other AAA+ game? And if you were planning on just building a single gaming PC, why would you use SteamOS ?

Wouldn't mind having a look at the Rift and see what the PS4 is like. The rest of it just sounds like what they had at tech ed (3D printing, Xbones and some crappy vendors).

Wonder if Playtech is going to set up some rigs next to the xbox one like they did for TechEd. I was like oh yeah pretty sweet GFX on the xbox then walked over to Playtechs stand. Quickly changed to fuck xbox give me the SLI GTX780s and a 4k TV please.
Found it strange MS gave them that spot.

I'm with Orcon, however fibre is not available at my address yet. And that makes me sad
We are on an older 200GB ADSL plan. I have considered moving to the unlimited plan (for the same price), but I have never hit the 200gb cap, so I don't see much advantage.
The unlimited plans are in a different swimming pool to fixed plans, as is explained below. Also with Orcon and have one of their legacy plans (1TB), from what I've heard you shouldn't notice any throttling unless your using bittorrent or some other P2P rubbish in the evenings.

Interesting how within 2 years we have gone from caring about Steam bandwidth to not giving a shit.

So far bought the new Bioshock and Defiance plus a bunch of $2 indie games. Spent most of the weekend playing Defiance, not bad entertainment for $13.
