So I've entered this lockdown without a functional PC...
I'm in need of a GPU that'll play some games at 1080p. I don't need super good/super fast or anything and I'm happy to make it a purchase or just borrow for the duration. Whatever works. I'm not picky.
If anyone can help me out it would be very much appreciated!
Down to brass tax here. I need to learn how to code as I fucking hate my trade job.
So far I've signed up to Plrualsight, Teamtreehouse, and FreeCodeCamp. I've gone through some HTML, CSS and barely touched JavaScript. I've also been on Teamtreehouse trying to learn Swift.
Am I a retard because I can't grasp this shit on my own, or what?
What I would love to do is make a connection with someone in Wellington who has the time and patience to help me learn. I cannot pay you, I am poor. I can just offer my time, and all the time required at a time that suits whoever may stick their hand up.
I'm a plumber/gassfitter by trade (qualified) and have been working at Harvey Norman for the last 2 years as their technician (more like resetting fuckwits email passwords and baby sitting morons). There is some little technical work to it, but nothing aspiring. Just basic level trouble shooting.
I don't really want to go back to the trade. Body destroying dangerous work.
I don't want to work at Harvey Norman because of the following; It's embarrassing, terrible pay, outdated business model, nothing to learn, no training, nothing to internally aspire to, no fun, over worked, customers in a place like that are horrible, horrible closed minded superiors, ridiculous and narrow minded egos.
At this point, with a 7 year old daughter in Wellington who I love and do not want to leave, I'm feeling like I have very VERY limited options to do anything other than idiot work.
With double the battery life of the strongest current Windows 8 competition, the Apple MacBook Air 13-inch (Mid 2013) adds epic untethered usability to a highly portable system.
This special edition device, priced at $599, will be available in the United States (initially) and supported on GSM networks. Out of the box, this special edition HTC One will run Android 4.2.2 with subsequent software updates provided by Google.
In any case, this should be so much easier then it is.
I have a computer, I want to make a drive in the computer visible to everyone on the network with the ability to both read and write to said drive.
How do I do that?
I have shared the drive and added read/write permissions via advanced sharing, but I still cannot access the folder. I can see it, I can read or write to it though.
What. The. Fuck.
OS X has got you by the balls with this Windows, it really really does.
Having a play with the Android SDK. Straight up don't know how to write code. Not even once.
But that aside, I wouldn't mind wasting a few hours figuring some things out. I'll learn what I need to right, but I have one question that I think would help fit some things together for me mentally.
