Title: capture of sudam, a win or a loss?
Post by: dObi on December 17, 2003, 10:40:55 am
Well guys, just looking for your opinions, what you think about the capture of the evil dictator?  Good thing or bad thing?

I dont think that its going to completly end the troubles in iraq, but i geuss its a bit of  start for the americans/iraqies.

It seems like america is just using it to glorify what they have done.

Americans still havent found nuclear weapons.
So the war is still not justified..

The Capturing of Saddam will make things worse for soldiers in Iraq.
Alot of people didnt want to fight the US because it wouldve looked like they were working for Saddam , who they probably despise themselves..

I dont think you can say that it isn't justified, it just gave them a reason, i think its fairly justified to take out a cruel dictator like sudam.  You think that it wasn't fair enough that the US finely took action agasint him and his regime, i think it was a long time coming.

You cant justify loss of life because "it was an accident" or "he wouldve killed more"..
the fact is they killed innocent people who did nothing wrong , children included , to get 1 man.

ant, it isn't a matter of "he would have killed more........"

HE DID KILL MORE

Innocent people died due to either supporting him, or through accidental missile attacks.  He killed more of his own people during the war, than the americans did.

im not saying that he was a good person , far from it..but killing innocents to find one person thats hiding in some hole , not really doing much...
Was it really worth it?

It is worth a few to save a nation. Over his rule he has killed thousands of inocents to get what he wanted. He should be trialed and even shot IMO..but time will tell some things the US did I dont agree with and some I do lets see where they take it from here.
So Im saying Yes it is a good thing that they got em..
