What is going on here? Is this computer from upside-down land?
-
That laptop style power connector, for that desktop...
No more jug cords from HP apparently.
-
That's horrible.
You're going to have to buy more electric kettles.

That's right. Plug in your desktop, just like your laptop!

That's been happening for ages for all workstation pre-fabs.
The computer itself is far more compaqt (get it?) than normal desktops.
Also note the VGA adapter instead of sometihng better.
They tend to come with vga and display port, and your monitors tend to be DVI and HDMI.
Which is fucking fantastic.

With the combo of being upside down, laptop style power connector, wrong monitor input, and Win8 logo, this is not a computer I will be looking at purchasing.
Thanks for the warning.

also for corporate workstation environment. You & your personal uses are not the target market.

Ultra SFF pc's have been like this for years and years and years.
As previously mentioned they are targeted at corporate.

Yes, I've installed a number of these at NZ post stores. Small little things with a DC input. They make a lot of sense in places where they don't want a full size ATX case sitting around.

Not bay any means limited to HP either, any major company with a business desktop offering will have something similar.
