Title: Steam Summer Sale
Post by: Apostrophe Spacemonkey on June 12, 2015, 06:51:50 am
To keep us inside where it's warm during winter.

My recommendations

Homeworld remastered $17

Don't starve together $12

Hearts of Iron 3 is 75% at $2.50 and I've had it on my Wishlist for ages after getting into other Paradox strategy games, but I know if I get it I'll never set aside the time time to fully get into it and will only ever give it a cursory glance.

Publishers have put their prices up just before the sale to make it look like the sale is more impressive than it actually is.

GTA5 was somehow $116 before, now it's $87.

Fuck off.

Steam getting owned at the moment. Updates barely downloading, if at all.

Bought Homeworld Remastered and Valkyria Chronicles.

Not steam, but blizzard are selling SC2 and the expansion for US$10 each currently. Good time to buy, if like me you never really got around to it during its launch.

If that Command and Conquer pack had more command and conquer in it then I'd be keen.

Yep..

Cheapest CD key is 70 NZD on steam, or 57 for non steam.

Versus 88 NZD "on sale" at 25% off.

Ending = Mindfuck

Best ending ever.

I no longer care if HL3 never comes out, as long as they keep making Bioshock games.

I bought LEGO Hobbit around 6 months ago $5, because it had good reviews. But when I got around to playing it, it only reminded me why I hate LEGO games.

Mostly out of curiosity, I asked for a refund last night, with the reason "I don't like it"

Refund came though this morning. More money to spend on the steam sale.

I feel the exact same way, Monkey.

Lego games always look interesting. Then you play and you're like "this is the most boring thing I have ever played".

I'd rather play Farm Simulator.
