Down to brass tax here. I need to learn how to code as I fucking hate my trade job.
Seven years in the future now. Everyone wants to be a tradie before Skynet takes our jobs. Anyone who thought being a programmer was a good idea must be really regretting it now.

Im at school now and all of the kids are failing because they keep using ChatGPT on their assignments and getting 0 marks. Im surprised they are not getting kicked out for plagiarism. HOWEVER, thanks to these cheating little shits they've changed the rules: Papers used to be 3 assignments or 4 assignments or 2 assignments and one test. Now its 2 handwritten tests and 1 assignment. They implemented it this year, the year I came back to finish something. How annoying.
In the Computer degree....yeah that is a desolate wasteland of foreigners who didnt realize a degree in programming is a degree to become an uber driver or flip burgers. Even the burger flippers are robots now. The business department is full of chatbot using retards. The most prosperous departments are Nursing, Veterinarian, and Electrician. Automotive Engineering is a bit shaky. Building, and Carpentry / Joinery are still okay.
In fact the kids are really weird. Like, right now sucks ass for everyone and they dont know why it sucks ass but the know it sucks ass. None of them watch what is considered "long form content" aka "anything longer than 10 minutes". Thankfully, none of them want to be YouTubers which all of the tardlets wanted to become 10 years ago. About 10% of them are already working at paid internships which is good.
Back to programming: Waste of time. For starters: I thought I would be able to debug anything until I saw the absolute mountain of nonsensical Chatbot generated electrical excrement that passes as code these days. It is called "Vibe Coding" I believe. I call it "The Herald of the Apocalypse". I also hate the term "Vibe" with a vengeance and people who use it deserve a throat punch.
Also, the kids dont speak properly. They keep talking about caps and drips and being "locked in", but they're completely retarded so Im not sure how "locked in" they can be. I believe "locked in" means "focused" but they're too dumb to know the meaning of that word. They need to be locked in a dumbarse ward for dumbarses.
Anyway: Programming! There was a website, https://www.whim.run/ (https://www.whim.run/) , which allowed you to test their new multi agent coding platform they had setup. It was incredible! 30 minutes, $5 American and you could build almost anything! Better yet, it was free! The price that they would show is the amount of money it would cost you to build the thing if you were using your own Whim.run setup. I absolutely ravaged that website non-stop for the 2 weeks their demo was running for. You can find their github here: https://github.com/Whim-Studio/whim-playground (https://github.com/Whim-Studio/whim-playground) and it is bursting at the seams with my nonsense java programs.
The lesson is: If you program something, then this thing can make it in 30 minutes costing USD$5. Technically speaking it would be prototyping, but the prototypes it made were very functional. The moral is: Its over. Programming is dead unless you are a expert in Artificial Intelligence or Robotics or a Cryptocurrency Developer.
Positives of Programming: If you've mastered it you get to keep most of your job
Negatives of Programming: Unless you're going to create a startup, entry level jobs are impossible.
