Holy crap - How SHIT are Liverpool looking? That was fucking dire. Old Woy might realise a flat 4-4-2 is dead at the highest level for a reason. Not that they showed any sort of passion or desire to win it. Awful.
City looked good for the most part - but how the hell would you know? They were never tested.
That isn't a single rule, as such. He was red-carded for being the last man and denying a goal scoring opportunity. The penalty was because it happened in the box, according to the ref. Thus, if it was a penalty then it was a foul, and if it was a foul and he was the last man, it is also a red-card.
Theoretically he should've seen a red-card if it was just a free-kick outside the box.
Amazed that Villa got raped, by Newcastle. Chelsea raised no eyebrows, Wigan are dire - and going down this year. Le Arse, an easy win 6-0 is good though.
When was the last time Man-U won at Fullham? Fuckin ages right? At least 5 games innit?
Won't be able to watch it, but my bet is a 0-0 for Liverpool Man City
I guess I'll take a point away at Anfield. Some question marks over the performance of some of our players though. Arshavin looked bored with it all - and there is Vela, sitting on the bench. Would've played Rosicky rather than Wilshire myself.
I think City will be heavily involved in the title run. I suspect they'll struggle in the first half of the season, but gel in the second. Their squad on paper is very, very impressive.
I don't think Arsenal will get near the title this season. I thought it was ours the season Henry left - but we bottled it. This season, we just dont have the quality in defense - or the type of keeper that wins you titles. I also have worries about the type of training and drills we partake in, a heavy reliance on zonal marking and a questionable transfer policy. No doubt we have a lot of technical skill, and have quality young players - but that we continue to lack a truly winning mentality. Arsenal players seem a little too nice.
Liverpool will struggle - but I wouldnt be surprised if they got near the Top 4 again.
Well, theres the reserve leagues which run all season.
Most teams use the pre-season as a chance to get their senior players up to speed and mix them in with younger players who look to have potential.
Chelsea just seem to be flunking the games by populating them with all reserves and under. I mean, perhaps the senior players were off in some other form of fitness camp, or camps - and Chelsea were just fulfilling contractual obligations they have with their affiliates by throwing whoever happened to be around at the games.
It's probably worth noting though, that Manchester United played plenty of senior team players in games during their tour of the States - and certainly looked a shit load sharper than Chelsea did.
But then again, it's not like they struggled to beat some no-mark Polish side in a display which seems to define them as a team so very starkly.
Meh, I wouldn't attach any importance to that at all eh. Better to get off to a winning start sure, but no one gives a damn. If I were Chelsea I'd be more confused as to why during the pre-season most of the first teamers have seen so little action.

Same as home I think. Whereby season tickets get first dibs, then Gold members might get say 10 or something games away. I'm not sure to be honest.
I can assure you though, that you would never ever get an away ticket on General Sale for the EPL Certainly not on eBay either. Away fans are the hardcore fans.
As long as you're willing to shell out enough quid, you should be able to get tickets to a game while you were here. Assuming there were suitable games being played. There is a ticket exchange system, etc.
I've only been to maybe 7 or 8 in my 3 and a half years here. CC tickets are only £10, so I'll hopefully be going to a bit more this years.
Membership prices are hellish, 20k+ waiting list for a 2.5 grand season ticket. You can then get gold, silver or red memberships. Tickets left over go in order down the list. Red membership holders can usually get more than a few games a season, at about £46 a game - but never one against the big four. Those puppies are all gone well in advance.
CC tickets go on general sale, which means first in first served basically - there is a Champions League game upcoming which will have general ticket sales, but I'm saving to move home, so I doubt I'll make it.
If you cant get into the stadium though, theres more than a few packed pubs with an awesome atmosphere and large screens - nothing beats the stadium though. I was almost close enough to touch the grass last night, nice.
