Well, I come back after not visiting for 8 months, and it has become a ghost town.

Bit of a shame really, from daily posts/users of which there were more than 200, now I scroll through and see less than 20.

Oh well, life goes on, it was good while it lasted ICONZ/Gamerhub/GetSome

General Chat / Decriminalisation of marijuana
« on: April 13, 2012, 03:26:05 pm »
Decriminalise, have state-wide seller depots, tax the fuck outta it. If I could buy a traditional fifty bag for say, $60 or even $70, all because A) it's grown, sold and distributed legally and I won't get pinged for it, I'd sure as fuck buy it, as would all my other mates who have done it.

Used to love having a cone or 10 and just talking for several hours about what we would do with the current penalty system for all those substances.

It really is great stuff. I enjoyed the shit outta it a few years back. Just sort of moved on, havent had any on me for over a year now (sound like some sort of addict lol). But compare that to how many beers or bottles of bevo's you have sitting in your chiller right now, makes you think.

General Chat / KONY 2012
« on: March 09, 2012, 12:11:54 pm »
Great cause, too bad it's too late. Will blow over in 6 months time, just like everything else. Protest was primo in the 60s, pretty much dead today.

Also, that link that toofast posted is all too condemning of the whole situation, sure the video went viral, and my facebook feed was over encumbered with "KONY 2012" shit with pictures, links and "omg whatisthis", but before you jump on the bandwagon, this information has been out for years. A decade infact. The footage is well over 5 years old. As mentioned previously, Kony is out of Uganda, into the Congo, and Uganda is in its first 'peacetime' in over two decades. Where is all this money going to? 2 cents of every dollar goes to the charity fund. Which, is funding the Ugandan military and government, who aren't all too legitimate to begin with.

First mentioned fighting a war with publicity and protest, then ending it with funding the military for violent intervention. End of the day, children will die, regardless. Kony is on his last legs.

General Chat / Conspiracy Theories : You decide.
« on: September 19, 2011, 11:30:04 am »
Sure, there are lots of minor details that, once put into the big picture, can contribute to a lot of the hype regarding the conspiracy. I admit there are a few times during some programs on 9/11, or that shit doco Loose Change, that had me wondering "How the fu...?". Surely there's got to be something going on?

But then reality strikes, and the shear scale of 9/11 coupled with the tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of individuals that would have agreed to keep quite, therefore sanctioning this action, just seems too unrealistic to be credible. Maybe not the tens of thousands of people bit, a need to know basis sure, but still. That is a mighty truckload of people who would have to say sure thing.

To me, the reason people let this go on, is because on the day that happened, and the years leading up to 9/11, it just demonstrates how much of a joke airport security was, and all of the processes leading up to that main event, and how lack-luster they all were in following protocol.

Much rather let people think they know A, when infact it only happened because of a number of things occurred resulting in B right?

You shouldn't "sack" it, but you should lower it another 20mm, it will give it that much more appeal. Not to mention if done properly, increase overall handling of the car.

It looks a little silly there, that's all :).

How 3 lecturers in the same faculty can arrange it so that they all have their assignments due on the exact same day, really pushing my time management to the max.

And no, I don't believe in asking for extensions unless you really require it, ie a death in the family. However it all paid off, with my 15 min seminar infront of the class a success on Wednesday, and my two assignments due today handed in promptly this morning. Now one due on Monday, time to get cracking.

Codesex, it's your bumpstop, when it was rebuilt (if it was), they just forgot to stick one back in, being a bolt on jobby and all.

I'm missing some in mine aswell, makes for some sweet knocks.
