A little more modern and probably not considered comedy but i found them pretty hilarious, Misfits and Shameless. i prefer the american Shameless but the british one is pretty much the same and the original

FYI Albert Einstein never said that...and unless you can provide a source, you shouldn't use quotation marks, especially when the quote is wrong.

Well as far as i'm concerned all the BF games have been good as far as FPS games go. What i expect from ANY fps is put crosshair/sights on man and left click, watch man die. For multiplayer same thing except do it faster than the other guy, and in the respect all BF games have delivered.

Why i can no longer log as many hours as i use to on these games has nothing to do with the game itself but my own perspective, 90% of any fps game play involves moving with wasd and point and click. after 10yrs of this format, shit gets boring. Nothing ground breaking new has been introduced to this genre for many years except shiny new graphics. As Albert Einstein said (and later a character on far cry 3) "The definition of insanity = doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result".

as for the console port argument perhaps you should read this

Really? Who the fuck are those idiots then?

I'm guessing you have memories of joining a server only to have major lag issues, which was often fixed by joining another server. Or playing for an hour or 2 before hitting lag spikes which was often fixed by resetting server's or router? completely forgetting that you could often go for days/weeks in a total lag free environment. Yet before bf2 everything was played on 56k modems and lag and high ping was pretty much a part of every day game play.

It'll surely be another modern military setting. Shooters need to go back to the older ways of cycling through era's i.e. WW2-Vietnam-Modern-Future. With the constant repetition of modern combat era, the genre is stagnated and successive games hardly add anything new, not that we didn't already know this. I imagine its just so much more cost effective to release what is effectively the previous title with some new maps and updated graphics.

Yeap and as long as they still sell, will continue to do so

I don't like Justin Bieber's music either, but its incredibly popular. If Eric Clapton's next album was indistinguishable from a Justin Bieber album, I'd be disappointed too.

Well here is 2 different aspect's, you are Comparing Eric Clapton to Justin Beiber, and i'll be inclined to agree. But if Clapton was BF and Beiber was [insert game] the argument stands that battlefield gameplay is still uniquely battlefield (although other games are starting to come out with similar formats), how ever if one was to say Eric Clapton album indistinguishable from other Eric Clapton albums, well now we're coming into game franchise material across the board.

Games are no different to music or movies, some are made to make money, some aren't. Some people prefer the output of something that isn't financially driven, as they definitely provide different results.

I'm more inclined to say some games are made with a limited budget where dev's are able to make and add features to enhance the game and game play, where other's have a whole heap of money thrown at them, are told what "money making" features have to be incorporated and are expected to make a huge profit return for share holder's and financial backer's. If dev's from the first scenario make a great/popular game then they enter into the 2nd second category and the crap continues.

As for the way the BF series is going, Bf2 was released at the dawn of broadband in this country and some may argue it was the first fps to provide relatively stable ping and lag free game play not to mention at the time the only competition for the  Multiplay experience was team deathmatch for the CoD series, hence the reason I will always have fond memories of it. there is nothing wrong with BF3 it's just the fact there is so much choice in multiplay fps shooters and ALOT more competition in the last 10yrs the market has been completely flooded with games some good some not so good, FPS in general can't hold my attention like they use to. as for the unlocks and other stuff incorporated into the last few installments, just because YOU don't like it doesn't mean its not popular. goes back to the shrek argument "i can't believe their up to shrek 4 the first was bad enough why make sequels?" believe it or not there are a huge amount of people that like unlocks and the crap along with shrek and they make a crap ton of money, if they didn't they simply wouldn't do it.

A decent online RPG, currently in the beta stage that i'm playing. Diablo style game with an incredible amount of customization with attacks and abilities gear and class builds.

Once released the game will be totally free to download and play. Or you can support kiwi gaming company Grinding Gear Games and buy a beta key (about $12) or more. If diablo 3 fails I will definatly be playing this.
